Well. I'm sure some of you saw this coming. It is time for me to take my leave, I think. I've got too much planned to be worrying about running meetings and taking care of MTF in the way that it needs to be taken care of. GamingLight was the first gaming community I ever joined, for the most part. Sure, I've been in communities before, but I never really tried to be an active part of a community before. I always always the type of person to try and make my own space rather than join someone elses. I also never spent much time on RP servers. I found SCP-RP by accident. And for some reason. I kept coming back. I've been with this community since February and I've had quite the meteoric rise. I've met a lot of great people (and some not so great) and made a ton of close friends, so I'll always be grateful to GamingLight for that. But there comes a time when you've got to look forward and start doing your own thing. This community has propelled me into a different place and I'm ready to start that new journey. Anyway. This is a global resignation, effective immediately. I'm leaving the community. I knew this would one day come, but I wasn't sure when. But now feels like a good time to do it. It's bittersweet but, ya gotta head out sometime. Even typing this now, I'm starting to have second thoughts. But... It's my time. I've got to go. Shout outs... Sorry in advance if you're not listed here. I can't get to everyone and I wanna get this over and done with. Though I will be writing a lot here, lmao... So, in no particular order: To Security: My home branch, I always defended you tooth and nail. I never let anyone disparage or talk badly about Security without a fight. It was my ONLY branch and it was where I met most of my friends. Security was always the underdog in my eyes, the bullied younger brother. So I made sure we got what we deserved. I like to think I made a huge difference in the way Security is seen. My main goal when I got DHOS was to change Security's image for the better, improve our reputation, let people know that we were strong. And by the time I left Security, I think I certainly achieved that goal. To MTF: I haven't spent a lot of time as DoTF. And I know I wasn't your favorite or the greatest DoTF. And I admit I probably could've worked harder for you all. Site Admin just isn't the same as running a branch. You feel detached and kind've indifferent. It's WAY less work, that's for sure. Either way, I know MTF is in capable hands, and whoever gets DoTF this time will probably do a much better job than I ever did. SMT in general: Thank you guys for all the opportunities. From Senior Admin, to Forums Diplomat, and Site Administration. I always felt like you guys were pushing for me and recognized all the effort I put in for this server. Rangiatea: Out of all the SMT, I felt like you were one of my closer friends. From playing shitty RTS's to running around Micro'ing anything that moves. Sorry we haven't played anything in a while. My fellow Site Admin: Thanks for the support guys. Killaz, Cryolast, Alpha: Y'all probably won't read this, but, thanks for believing in me all those months ago to move me up as much as you did. You were the platform I stood upon to move forward. Though I don't talk to you guys as much anymore, I really appreciate you guys. You clearly have no intention to abide by the rules and if I were Stone I would have added Staff Diss onto the warn as well. You were non compliant with Stone and he remained professional. The FailRP was valid, the Minge was valid, the NCWS was valid and the disrespect was valid. You went into such petty details such as giving a definition for "Minge" while its a quote "slang" unquote. Don't try to pull that card. Even so words have multiple meanings, that's how languages work.

As there is seemingly some confusion, let me explain the timeline of events regarding what happened. First, E-11 finds the Sleuth in EZ, after he was inserted by CI. On Hawk's orders, 2 E-11 escort him back to LCZ. At LCZ/HCZ Checkpoint, the escorts are killed by Class-D, and the Sleuth hides in the LCZ/HCZ Checkpoint. Then about a minute later, with no further communication between you and any other MTF, you ordered he be cuffed. In the sit, you claimed you thought they had told you he went back to EZ, there was however nothing pointing to that. Then Maze found him, cuffed him, and then i got involved in the sit. Now as for the reasoning why i believe that your arguement of thinking other MTF said he was in EZ again, The only line comming close to that is the same one you have added in above "we found him in EZ" , this was however in response to an O5 Researcher asking about the guy. You already knew they found him in EZ however, and this was around 2 minutes after you found him, so i believe that it should be quite easy to put one and two together, certainly for a SF member. Besides all this, your story changed throughout the sit near constantly, which certainly cast doubts on your story. I also know pretty well that MTF does not capture and interrogate Rouge Researchers found in EZ, they just get shot or captured. You even said yourself above that you did not know wether or not the man was even allowed in EZ, but you still ordered him to be escorted back regardless. All of that together was the reasoning I decided to issue a warning. PS. Sorry for the late response, i just woke up.

How would you handle someone that is Mass RDMing and when you bring him/her to an admin sit all they do is curse at you? The first thing I would do is gag him the second thing I would do if he's abusing chat is mute him then I would then I would call an Admin+ for them to ban or jail him.

The use of autoclickers is kinda shaky, in some situations they are violating the MOTD (Using them to get out of cuffs, shoot faster, etc.) but in the situation you were in I do not think it was used to gain an unfair advantage. AFK'ing while mining doesn't give you to much of an advantage due to inventory caps and you mine at the same speed as someone just spamming M1. So that's a +Support for me It would also be nice to get clarification from SMT about whether Autoclickers are allowed for things like this or not.

+Support Brock is a very disrespectful member of the gaminglight community who treats people with very little respect but doesn't get punished for it. A lot of members that i have talk to about him agree that his statements are very rude and disrespectful. i feel that he also shouldn't represent SCU as a high command member but that's just my opinion. Brock was in the family i am in now and my old family and would treat new members very poorly and wouldn't show them the ropes of the server. I think that he should be punished for his actions by receiving a ban or 2. Sincerely Porman

Phill is one my most respected people on this sever (for me). I do have to dis agree with this though. I feel if we see any non research command in EZ we should ask them to leave and if they do not then cuff and return them to LCZ. And I don't see how the SF was in trouble all he said was to cuff him. SF are not suppose to be in TS with non SF for RP secrecy reasons. How else are we suppose to deal with a non research/Sleuth in EZ other to tell them to leave or by cuffing them. I don't know I just don't see how the SF is in the wrong maybe I'm missing something or I'm not of mental capacity to mental capacity. To cut short in my opinion the SF is being punished for trying RP with a sleuth. I just don't see why he deserve a warn here. (JUST MY VIEW)

Name: Girth Rank: AR SCP: 049, 049-2 , 294 List of Personnel involved in testing: 1 AR, 1 SR, 1 Research Commander, 1 Researcher Level D Personnel involved(if any): 2 (One with any symptoms of any sickness) Question/Preferred Outcome: After a previous test dealing with Scp: 049 and Scp : 035, I pondered the effects that Scp: 294 would have on Scp: 049 , Scp: 049-2, and a sick D -Class. I collected two D-Class for this experiment and had one turned into Scp:049-2. After the collection of all three test subjects, I led them to Scp: 294. I then instructed each subject to input "The Cure" into the terminal. The outcome I was hoping for is included into this list: Scp: 049 becomes sane and learns how to actually cure patients without turning them undead. Scp: 049-2 turns back into a normal D-class. D-class is cured from any known illnesses . Risks/Safety Precautions: I had multiple researches, including the research commander to insure that the test was done flawlessly, I also included the MTF Commander to insure maximum safety with these Scps. When dealing with Scp-049, we had the MTF Commander detain and stop him from escaping containment. After one D-class was turned, we also separated them from the normal D-class to avoid spread of infection. Background Research: We know from multiple previous tests that Scp-294 will dispense most items you can think of that are tangible. Labor/Work being used: Disposal of Scp: 049-2, and cleaning blood around Scp: 294. Observation: After Scp- 049 drank "The Cure," (with much delight), he immediately fell to the ground dead. After Scp: 049-2 drank "The Cure," it turned a bloody red, and became seemingly braindead. After D-Class drank "The Cure," nothing major happened, however their constant coughing and sneezing stopped. Conclusion: When "The Cure," is dispensed from Scp: 294, it will affect different creatures with different affects. As the lead researcher on this test, I conclude that "The Cure" changes depending on the user drinking it.

-SUPPORT The knives' backstabs are strong because they are supposed to be a reward for achieving a flank. Currently, knives (because they primarily are a weapon for D-Class) are fighting against the strongest GENSEC has ever been with Wardens, Riot Control, and incredibly high activity due to a new server and good high command (seriously you guys have a page and a half almost everyday for a couple hours, it's honestly impressive). As a player who essentially only plays D-Class, I can tell you when attempting to use knives, you will NEVER achieve four consecutive backstabs on any foundation combatant, especially not any CC that knows how to play the game. Sure on paper it seems that knives are crazy with 440 dmg in 5 seconds, but I'm sure you just had the CC turn your back to you, and you just right clicked. Think about context, when using a knife, you are always trying to rush and close distance... which makes you a priority. As soon as you're spotted, your combatant will backpedal and face you to get their shots in, making backstabs almost impossible. If players are lucky you get one good sneak attack and/or the combatant turns around to run. And for the players with knives, they end up knifing back, usually (as a D-Class CC) against someone with higher hp/armor and or more foundation on their side. To make knives even worse, the server has been in a meta where shotguns have been *dominating* for a WHILE, so closing in against the majority of players who strafe jump and shotgun with high latency and sometimes awkward hitreg? Not happening. For the most part, I believe the server has been the most balanced since Site 05, and this is coming from a D-Class CC who faces shotguns and snipers and HSU and O9 Experimental Forces and those crazy CCs (Captain Mei, Omnipurpose, Psi-8, Invictus, ETC) and... you get my point. If anything, I feel that other weapons, specifically melee, are underpowered. Just look at the trench knife. I think why the knife gets so much attention is because honestly it's the only usable one. Every other melee weapon has bad hitreg against an already strong meta on a pretty laggy server. Fixing other melee weapons hitreg would introduce variety and open our eyes to the incredibly low standard melee weapons actually have. If knives are nerfed, melees will become obsolete, and it's just another weapon to be stumped by the meta we play in. TL;DR knives are fine, consecutive backstabs never happen, and melees in general are actually very bad. don't let knives take the fall because of bad melees
