This will need to be suggested to your branch specific command, since internal training isn't something the community at large governs.

+ Support Looking through your application, I see a lot of really good experience from other areas that will help you in your duties as a trial moderator here, if your application is accepted. Experience is always great, and looking to further get involved with our community by becoming a moderator is a good goal to have. You have one warning on the server, which is nearly a month old, so I'm not too worried about that. Regarding your post count, we generally like to see that someone is interested in engaging the community here on the forums, as well as on the server. While I understand your concerns about places in the forums that aren't utilized as fully as they could be, one of our more used sections of the forums, which allows you to propose new additions to the server or provide your thoughts on other people's suggestions. This would be a better way to engage with the community, rather than replying to older forum topics. For question 16, I'm not sure if you've already rewritten it at the suggestion of the other moderators, but I don't personally see any major problems with the response you provided. As moderators we are empowered to take enforcement action of issues that we see with our discretion, so something that I may think warrants only a verbal warning, another moderator may think warrants a server warning. The major things that I look for in response for this section are that the candidate takes control of the sit, which you did by gagging the person who was swearing at you and interrupting you. I then look to see if the candidate considers a variety of options available to them, or if they just look at one option. I do really like that you checked his warning history, as that is something that I don't think enough moderators do, because someone's history can absolutely have an influence on what action you should take. Finally, I like to see that the candidate looks to receive support from more senior staff, in this instance the potential administration of the 10,000-second minge, or longer minge, which you did. Personally, I probably would've applied or sought to have someone apply a longer than 300-second minge off hand based on the mass RDM and disrespect, but again, that is up to your discretion. Good luck, and I hope to see you join the staffing team!

- Support This happens from time to time as staff members swap from being on duty and going back into RP. I do not believe Koala did this intentionally, and I do not believe Koala has a record of such conduct. As such, I believe that a simple reminder to be more careful when switching between jobs is in order and no further action.

There isn't a lot of information that would allow us to investigate and take action on this incident.

I was one of those brought in, it was hilarious ?

I minged you, which is common practice when someone has committed an offense, as you did, and I did explain it to you after minging you, as stated in my initial reply. Calling another player a "faggot" is never tolerated on our server, regardless of your intent. We are a welcoming community made up of all sorts of people and that kind of language, especially since you've admitted you routinely call other players it, is not tolerable. Additionally, using the term "faggot" as an insult, shows that you view people who are homosexuals as lesser, which pretty clearly shows you have a prejudice against homosexuals. Being attacked by another D-Class is not acceptable either, even if you're not killed. If the other D-Class player was attacking you, you should call a staff member to handle the situation, as it is considered Random Death Match. The instigating player could be talked to and appropriate action taken from there.

+/- Support I could see this being available as a CI Research and Event Team coordinated event, but not really on a day to day thing.

+ Support Removal of the tower lockdown ability effectively neutered GENSEC's ability to effectively contain riots. D-Class are able to endlessly respawn until they get lucky and kill a few GENSEC, allowing them to escape during the resulting NLR. Reimplementing this and putting it under the control of either mid to high command of GENSEC, or low to high command of MTF with staff approval will more effectively balance the divide between D-Class and GENSEC, while ensuring that it won't be abused since it requires staff approval.

adding keycard scanners back to bunks - Accepted
Rookieblue replied to Rangiatea's topic in Accepted
+ Support Adding this would reduce the instances of GENSEC Trainees exiting the bunks without authorization, reduce the potential of people firing out of the spawn when they shouldn't be, and reduce the amount of D-Class entering the bunks. In addition, Researcher Spawn is already locked with a keypad, so it would make sense that the GENSEC bunks, being that they're the security people and all, would all be secured. -
I was in D-Block after finishing up another admin sit when I heard this player say, "Get those f*****s" while chasing after another player. He was the only one speaking at the time, and his player name popped up showing he was speaking. I then followed him, and heard him speak again to confirm that this was the individual that made the comment. I then issued the warning and an appropriate minge using my discretion. I then teleported to you, explained that were minged for usage of the word, and that it's usage is never tolerated on our server. Usage of this word against another player is never tolerated on this server, as we maintain a very friendly community and atmosphere. I wasn't involved in demoting you off of your GENSEC job. His steam ID is STEAM_0:1:44044482 / 76561198048354693

The individual wasn't able to get on the forums at the time of the sit, which is why I offered to post on his behalf. He said he would get on when we was able to to comment.

- Support I've had to take admin calls based on your conduct in the past, and I've heard and seen some recent conduct described in the posts above as well. I will say that you are doing a lot better, however, you've still been receiving warns up to three days ago. It shows that while you have started to mature, you aren't to the level that would warrant me considering supporting your application at this time.

Your In-game: Mike Johnson Your SteamID: STEAM_0:1:151541263 / 76561198263348255 The admin's name in-game: GL Rookieblue The admin's steam name (If you know it): GL Rookieblue What warning did you receive: RDM - Killing Fellow D-Class as a D-Class Evidence of the warn (REQUIRED): See attached picture Why do you think this warn was false: I was the one that issued the warn, and am filing this appeal on his behalf. After further investigation into the initial admin call, I determined that the alleged victim was armed with a bat and had begun swinging at Johnson prior to Johnson striking him first. As such, I'd like to request this warning be removed from his record. Any extra information:

Except they're regularly taken out for tests and other reasons. And we have D Classes on the server than have keypad crackers, guns, and melee weapons. Which is more unrealistic, a D-Class getting ahold of an incredibly advanced keypad cracker, or a simple lab coat?

+ Support based on the feedback from others, as well as the sincerity of your appeal. I hope you receive a second chance, and you prove that it is worthwhile.

+ Support Ajax, while you are a good dude, you just didn't handle this situation very well. Outside of the initial incident that sparked this report, pulling the player into a sit and freezing him to read him his own report is absolutely outside of the scope of what is acceptable. You have a good head on your shoulders, and you've been doing some good stuff as an admin when we've been working together, but these are some big mistakes. With the original incident, I and numerous others have paused RP situations when glitches have been found on the server to ensure they are fixed prior to returning to play. It's entirely possible that the D-Class around the door weren't aware of how to contact an admin, or that was even the right person to contact to fix the door. It's unlikely that a group would be teaming up if they themselves called you through admin chat. If you have a situation where players across the board are reporting an issue such as this, I would recommend taking a step back to evaluate the entire situation first. I routinely will teleport over to a call and take a second or two to see what's going on around me before making contact with the reporter to gain a little bit of context. I can not overstate how much this has helped in a couple of sits that I've taken. As staff members, you have to remember that we must remain professional at all times because we are the representatives and faces of the server. If we get mad or frustrated, that's the time to take a step back and remember that this is just a game, and to let some of what happens just flow right over you. I recommend an extended probationary period as a trial moderator, as well as a shadowing period for Ajax to see how more experienced moderators handle different situations.

I really do appreciate your intentions, but your application needs some major work. I'd recommend taking some extra time to ensure that everything is grammatically correct on your next application and working on expanding your answer to question 16. While I can only speak to what I like to see in the answer for the question personally, I like to see that the candidate describes what actions they would take to remain professional, gain control of the sit, gather additional information, show how they would come to a conclusion for which punishments they may consider, and what they would do to follow up if a higher staff member is needed to complete the sit.

+/- Support With the given Steam ID I'm showing one warning according to our records. While this is either a deliberate or accidental mistake, I won't hold the actual warning against you since it's from 4 months ago, but it does show a lack of attention to detail. You're a previous staff member with us, so I'd expect the scenario question to be more complete from you. As a T-Mod, you wouldn't be able to issue a 10,000 second minge, and you don't go into how you would actually handle the situation itself. Additionally, while you go into detail how much you love the server and community, you don't really say why you deserve to come back onto the staffing team outside of a single sentence. I liked working with you in GENSEC Kade, I know you're a competent guy who can get things done, but I have a hard time supporting this app.

+ Support from me I've worked with Ternith on a number of occasions and I've never noticed the issues that are being brought up here. When I am working with him on staff he's taken his fair share of calls, and the couple times that I've rolled through to assist him with something his decisions were exactly what I would do after listening to all sides of the story. On this point, if there are other staff members online at the time, I can see why Ternith may prioritize his event over staffing, since at that specific moment he is operating as an event team member, and abandoning his event for an extended period of time may result in a negative experience for many more players than the one requesting an admin sit (for a lower priority situation, obviously). If Ternith is the only staff member online, than it may get a little tricky with balancing staffing and the event at the same time. He did say "if possible with my given rank". The remainder of his answer was correct and appropriate in my opinion since he hits the major things that I look for, including acting in a professional manner, checking for a history of offenses, gathering evidence of the offense, and describing the different punishments he may pursue.
