- Support Looking at your forums profile, it created on Friday, April 12th, not around April 1st, and your first post looking to have been on Sunday the 14th. You've posted a few times in the research area of the forums, which shows that you're engaging in that portion of the community, but generally, we like to see staff members engaged in all areas of the community, such as responding to suggestions and stuff like that. You did have a recent warning for FailRP a week ago, which does put you in a poor light now that you're attempting to become a staff member and supposed to be enforcing the rules. A single warning isn't something that I hold against you, however. In regards to question 16, I'm a little concerned where you mention having a higher ranked staff member administer the minge punishment if the individual doesn't understand what you were telling him about the rules. As a staff member, you have to be able and willing to take the time to explain why certain rules are in place and ensure a person actually understands the rules. For example, sometimes people might not know what FearRP is. However, if the person is obviously just not cooperating and saying that they don't understand, that's a separate issue. I'd recommend taking some time to gain more experience with our server and taking more time to think through question 16. Good luck moving forward!

+ Support I've seen you playing and have never had an issue with you on the server. You've always seemed very mature and focused on having fun, and have no disciplinary history on our server. I liked your response to question 16, you've shown critical thinking skills and have thought through how you would react to different situations and how you would address them. Despite your relatively short time with us, you have had a decent amount of participation on our forums, which shows you want to be an active member with us. Good luck with your application!

Your In-game: GL Rookieblue Your SteamID: The player's name in-game: Changed it at various times, Technician Captain The player's steam name (If you know it): IM_GABE21 - STEAM_0:0:101151104 What did the player do: Has a total of 32 warns across our server (2) and MilRP (30). Though the majority of the warns have come from MilRP, based on his conduct yesterday and the two warns received within just over 10 minutes of each other it is likely this player will begin minging on our own server more and more, and I'd like to be proactive if we can. Evidence (REQUIRED): https://gaminglight.com/bans/player/76561198162567936 What do you believe should happen to the player: Per Staff Handbook: 30 Warns - 21,600 second minge issued, By Superadmin+ (Staff's desecration if the ban is issued) Any extra information: N/A

- Support Forum account creation date incorrect. Shows that it was created in April, not May. For Q16, I typically like to see a better thought out answer that shows the applicant has thought about the situation, and how to respond. For example, would you attempt to de-escalate the situation? Would you attempt to check to see if they have any warnings for similar conduct in the past, or if this is his first offense? Would you consider issuing a minge for his conduct? Just some things to consider.

Tentative + Support for me unless Ham has additional information that show extenuating circumstances. Honestly, with the chaos of a D-Class riot and constant rushing, friendly fire happens, and a documented warning isn't a proportional punishment unless there are extenuating circumstances, such as numerous instances of the friendly fire and kills, clear RDM in an area where there is no possibility for it to have been accidental or a history of RDMs.

- Support Your forum account shows it was created January 10th, not April 12th, 2017. You've only made one forum post, which shows that you aren't active on the forums, and we generally like to see some level of engagement in the suggestions area, posts in other areas, etc. It leads us to believe that you are more interested in just gaining a staff position with us than also working to roleplay in the server and have a deeper connection with us. Activity wise, I haven't seen you on the server personally, though I don't hold that against you because of time zones and such. You have two warns on your record, which you received yesterday. This doesn't exactly put you in the best light since as a staff member you should be being a role model, rather than breaking rules yourself. They were both for the same conduct and issued within an hour of each other. Moving on to question 16, I personally like the applicant to show a bit more critical thinking, showing how they would consider the problem in front of them. I liked that you would attempt to find out why they were committing the RDM, as that's a good first step. Before determining the punishment, would you consider checking their record for other warnings they have been issued for similar conduct, or if they have a completely clean record? Would you consider issuing them a documented warning in addition to the minge, or just the minge? As a trial moderator, you would not have the appropriate authority to issue a 10,000 minge, you would need to call a higher ranked staff member to issue that.

Name on roster: Rookieblue Rank on roster: Captain How active are you: Active of discord and forums everyday, active on the server every other day. What can Security CMD improve on?: New ideas to draw new players into GENSEC, as well as increase player retention. More structured training and mentorship programs. Why should we keep you as GENSEC command [150 words+]: I believe that I should remain as a GENSEC command member due to my numerous contributions to GENSEC, and high level of competency and experience in my role. In my short time as a command member, I've revised the SOP, begun to implement battalion program, established the SCP Containment Guide, have established a significant presence within the community and am continuing to look for new ways to bring positive change to GENSEC. My top priorities as a GENSEC command member have always been player retention, increased opportunities for roleplaying, and increased overall training. I believe this can be accomplished by developing documented training standards and competencies, giving players new opportunities to work with other members of GENSEC in a variety of circumstances, as well as increasing the number of ways we can publicly reward personnel outside of promotions. I fully recognize that I'm not the most active on the security job on the server, but I believe I make up for that fact for all my other contributions. Moving forward, I will continue to work on other ideas to further develop GENSEC, such as a mentorship program that will pair with the battalion program, a GENSEC award program, and other ideas.

Traves' Trial Moderator Application - Denied
Rookieblue replied to Manatee Burgers's topic in Denied
- Support After looking at your disciplinary history, I'm not holding your few warns against you since they were from a while back, so no worries there. Looking at the STEAM ID you gave, the steam name attached to that account is "pastaboy09", not "Manatee Burgers" as you have in your application. However, I'm more concerned with your answer to question 16. As a trial moderator, you do not have the ability to issue a 10,000 second minge. For that to be issued, you would need to call a moderator or above to issue that. Additionally, I generally like to see more critical thinking when responding to that question. For example, would you attempt to see if they have a disciplinary history on the server? Would you attempt to speak with them to find out why they were RDM'ing? Would you consider other actions such as a warning as well? Stuff like that shows that you understand the discretion you have, as well as how to apply it in various situations. I'd recommend getting more experience and giving the handbook another read through before applying again. Good luck moving forward! -
+ Support Would make RP better, and easier for CI to communicate more in secret.
-
+ Support GENSEC and MTF already have an armory, this would be a bit of a balancing change.
-
+ Support I believe that SCP 527 should be allowed into D-Block, as he is essentially just a normal man with a fish head. Him accessing D-Block won't create any more issues. +/- Support SCP 343 is a different matter. His ability to noclip and teleport around the map may cause issues, however, since it's a donor class it should be fairly easy to moderate in regards to removing access to the job if it's abused and such.

Keycard addition for incinerator room - Accepted
Rookieblue replied to The Gaming Goat's topic in Accepted
+ Support Reduces the ability for personnel (across GENSEC and Research) to RDM and minge with the incinerator. I agree with a lower level keycard access, maybe the same level that allows access into HCZ. -
Buff/Increase DMG for Kit Knife (Class D Expert) - Denied
Rookieblue replied to F1ghter's topic in Denied
- Support The reason I'm giving negative support is that GENSEC already struggle with having underpowered and inaccurate weapons compared to much more accurate, and sometimes more powerful melee weapons. Buffing the damage the knife does will only vastly increase the rate of escapes, SCP breaches, and other chaos throughout the server. It is likely the current damage done by the knife is on the low side because D-Class typically outnumber GENSEC personnel at a time, and have the ability to swarm GENSEC when they decide to riot/attempt to escape. -
- Support A quick look through your lengthy disciplinary history with our server pretty much shows that you have no intent on actually playing properly with us. Less than two months isn't enough time to change and completely change your play style. You have been given countless chances to change, and it looks like this is a well-deserved punishment.

We're going to need to identify who it was that issued the warn to get their side of the story.

From a security standpoint, we've never had any issues with Mason. I like that he wants to help make the server a more friendly place, and he has a fairly comprehensive answer to Q9, which he talks about whether he would go for the Staff Disrespect or RDM penalty. He noted that he would need to call a higher admin to administer the specific punishments, but was able to issue the warning himself. From a warning standpoint, Mason has three warnings on his record, two for ARDM/RDM and one for FailRP, the most recent of which is from January 2nd. Due to the length of time between the warnings, as well as there only being a handful, I don't believe these should specifically be held against him when making my decision. + Support from me

- Support Saying the N word at all isn't tolerated.

- Support Had this been suggested when MTF still had those crazy ranks I'd say this would be a very good idea. But now that the rank systems are more standardized, I don't think this is warranted at this time.
