Not to try and start arguments. But that is not true, people HAVE been punished for stating their opinion. Even when such opinion was not disrespectful but only critical of SMT actions. This has been going on for a long time, you simply have to look back at past SMT posts for proof. In order to have a successful and happy playerbase, you need to be able to take criticism and make amendments. There is a line between being disrespectful and giving honest criticism, I think SMT specifically the PoliceRP section has been going over set line for a while. Don't take this as an attack on SMT, it's simply what many in the community feel. We all want this community to thrive and grow. However, refusing to accept criticism and labelling such as being ‘disrespectful’ not only alienates your players. It ruins any chances of actual changes that would benefit us all going into the future. We appreciate what SMT do but past and recent actions has caused the reputation of SMT to drop over the months. I sincerely hope you take this as a warning sign and change, I know you all can make a difference.

DENIED While this may come as a surprise to many of you, Chiken does not get to receive special treatment because he has "improved" over the course of a week or two. Unfortunately, there have been many players banned for having 40 or more warns, which means that all of them, including chiken had over 40 chances to improve their act and read the MOTD, and it is apparent that CHIKEN failed to do so each time he was given a warning. While it isn't what I would like to do, SMT does their best to be fair and honest to every player, and seeing how Chiken has received recent warnings even though many has said he has shown major improvement, shows me that many of you are unaware of how warnings seem to work. Warnings are a track record for a player. They help staff see what a player has done in the past, and therefore assists staff in making decisions on punishments for the player. In this case, the punishment he received has been one that we have used for around 2 years, and it has never changed. When looking at these appeals, I must remove myself as a friend and look at this from a management perspective, and therefore, my decision for chikens permanent ban stays. i agree i feel we kinda have no say into things like are -/+ support mean nothing most time it does not make a difference i also feel some time sometime they take it to far with blacklisted people for smalls things that i feel you should not be banned for but that just my opinion on all this

Well boys its about that time to end my journey with security. I just dont have the time to put in all my focus on security at the moment. Its been a long road to get to the position i was in and its not fare for me to hold that position while someone out there can do it ten times better. I am thankful for everybody on the security team that helped me become a great DHOS. Lefty, Rang, War, Crimson, Atlas, John, Coolgamey, and Rookie. I have to get this off my chest, I feel like I cant speak my honest mind without fear of repercussions. I'm always afraid of being misconstrued. I often want to talk with staff about things I disagree with but I also dont want to get permanently banned. I just really had to say this because it's been making me anxious lately and it's not healthy.

This is a debatable topic, and the cause of some major issues that happened just today. I am pretty new to the server still, and don't understand the past history of Gaminglight, but from what I saw. if you just be respectful when stating opinions. I think you should be just fine, everyone I have seen that was banned in the past was because they were in one way or another disrespectful. I however think sometimes the line between criticism and insulting is easily misconstrued. At the end of the day, I feel like this is a place to have fun. If you do not like something in the game, make a suggestion about it and see what people say ^_^. I have seen SMT add in so many suggestions and it's amazing. Just how I feel...

Just a update on this guy - I just Banned them for a week so they can think about how much they are FailRPing as 106 as well as to ready the MOTD. But +Support on this anyway.

+Support overall a really nice person, see them on very often and enjoy having talks with them when I can, or when he is raiding and attempting to kidnap me, to continue, never had encountered him while staffing but he is always making sure people follow rules and is on the case the moment someone does break a rule. I had a great time in security and SCP-RP in general, but all good things have to come to an end dont they. I've been putting this off mainly because there are too many people to mention, but I figured now is as good a time as any. You definitely noticed that I haven't been on in a week, and didnt even get on for either of the security meetings. I am going to focus on my Military RP staff ranks and RU rank, and I do not think it would be best for me to try and excel at both of those while maintaining a rank in Security. It was really fun, I may come on every now and then just to play a big, but other than that you'll see me on MilRP when I'm on GMOD. Rangiatea - Really nice and funny guy. I really looked up to you during my entire time in security and you are one of the main reasons I kept going. Tyler - A really genuine person, really good at his job. I can tell that you will go places if you stick with it. Lefty - Very fun, good to joke with, but also keeps people in line very well. Matricies - Maybe a little biased on him because I came from MilRP with him, but you are really a great guy. We has basically synchronized promotions, and it was really fun to grow to where I became with you. You will be a great high command and foundation administration member. Coolgamey - Really works hard, great at his job. You can always tell he gives his best whenever he is on the job. Lance - You were really fun to play with. I can always rely on you standing right by the door, making sure it is closed. I hope you go far! Chief - You helped me a lot in staff when I was new and were fun to play with in general. AMAZING person.
