  1. Wow. Words cannot describe the amount of happiness and overall emotion I feel writing this. Ever since I was a trial moderator for PoliceRP I have been welcomed by this incredible community. It has been a great honour managing the incredible server that is SCPRP and helping manage PoliceRP. I have met so many amazing people during my stay, and look forward to meeting more. This is a big milestone for me, and I am excited to continue reaching for further ones!

  3. If you've been with SCP-RP for a long time then you know that it's customary for me to make a post like this when we reach a significant milestone. Around a month and 10 days ago, I posted this: https://gaminglight.com/forums/topic/37821-scp-rp-growth-thank-you/ Which detailed how we were now beginning to average around 70 players every single day. Around the same time, we had also hit 100 players for the first time. As of today, we have officially hit the highest amount of players a Garry's Mod server supports, 128. I don't think I need to explain how amazing this is for our server. The success and growth SCP-RP has had is monumental and as a server, we have flourished. From the time SCP-RP was launched in early November, we have come a very long way. I just want to say thank you on behalf of the Gaminglight SCP-RP EMT, SMT, and JMT. Without all of our dedicated staff and players, we would not be in this position today. I'm really just at a loss of words because I've seen the server grow since even before day 1. We may not be able to pass 128 players due to physical limitations, but I'm sure that if we all keep up the good work we can maintain it every single day.

Please make sure suggestions are pertinent and relevant! What you want to see? - Why should we add it? - What are the advantages of having this? - Who is it mainly for? - Links to any content - I also agree however. We literally just got rid of D class guns 3-4 weeks ago and now suddenly have them again.

  9. There are WAY too many breach events along with it just being instant. I miss when events were original and didn't focus around causing chaos... Can this please be changed. I recommend allowing only 1-2 breach events a day. What do you guys think? (P.S. I was the only one out of a handful who would step up and write this...)

I agree with Jet, I know the ratings may say different but in my opinion the events are very regularly a breach one where it is pretty much instant, all scp breach at once with no graduation in them. I played as a SCP in one of these events and the corridors get crammed so quickly especially in HCZ. As well as this, sometimes they aren't as structured/prepared fr as they could be (no offence meant towards the Event team, they're a good team) but on some of them a little more planning would be good and a short brief to all online staff so they know what is happening and can help participants/players on the server much better if there is a problem.

(150 Word Minimum) I believe that I would be a good candidate for this position because while I do not have experience as a staff member, I do have leadership experience in real life, and have experience dealing with customer service/angry individuals. I previously worked as a supervisor in a maintenance/custodial setting overseeing 20 employees, and currently, work as a security officer at a major city hospital, and as a medic with the Army National Guard. I'm routinely exposed to high-stress situations and know how to speak to people in a professional manner that gains compliance. I also have experience using discretion on how to handle borderline cases in a variety of circumstances. As a trial moderator, my primary concern will be that everyone on our server is having fun. This may mean intervening in some instances of people minging or failing to follow server rules. As I do in real life, I will first attempt to solve the problem with simple verbal warnings before escalating to warnings or minge punishments. I hope to become a larger part of this server to help it both continue to grow, and retain new players. How would you handle someone that is Mass RDMing and when you bring him/her to an admin sit all they do is curse at you? My first option would be attempt would be to verbally de-escalate the situation and calmly explain why I was contacting the player, and why their conduct wasn't acceptable. If this fails, I would gag the player so I would be able to explain the above information. After explaining what the player did wrong, I would issue them a documented warning for the Mass RDM / Staff Disrespect and explain why I chose to go that route. The main reasons being the severity of the violation (considered most severe RDM violation), and that swearing at anyone isn't a cool thing to do. If the player has a history of RDM warnings, I would call a higher ranking staff member to issue up to the 10,000-second maximum penalty for Mass RDM / Staff Disrespect. Or, if the player has a history of disrespect warnings, I would call a higher ranking staff member to issue up to the 600-second maximum penalty for Staff Disrespect/Mass RDM. Following the completion of the meeting, I would then return the player to their former location and monitor them for continued misbehavior.
