  7. I hate to tell you man, but it's more than likely not going to work. Personally I am a firefighter in real life, and I made the suggestion a few weeks ago to add a Rockford City Fire Dept. as well, and there was a lot of positive support, which I greatly appreciated, but even with negative support, it was more realistic than "negative". Even though there are easy problems to easy solutions, it would take a lot to get this department off the ground. We would need a chief, assistance from the commissioners, and even more help from SMT and Staff. If you can find a way to get a RCFD on this server, I would have no problem helping you with it in the development, management, and any other actions necessary to take, but as of right now, the community is not ready for a RCFD. Again, I would LOVE to see this happen, but realistically, it wont.

  11. In-Game Name: R. Gardner Steam ID: STEAM_0:0:447146963 Current Rank: Sergeant Major How long have you been in your current rank?: Roughly 3 months What time zone are you in?: Eastern Standard Time How many Warns do you have?: 1 Why should you be promoted (150 words Minimum): I have been with the Rockford City Police Department since late December of 2018. From that time I have quickly risen through the ranks and learned much through my time from my Senior Officers. Now I am I Field Supervisor with the RCPD and do my best to guide people in the right path for my position. I have done my best to train as many cadets as possible in my time as a Sergeant Major but obviously life has come into play and that takes priority. I am currently part of two other departments, Rockford State Police and Rockford Emergency Medical Services, to which I am part of a sub department for State, the Civil Emergency Responds Team. In State Police I am currently a Corporal. With CERT I am a Specialist, where I am trained as a Medical Unit, and soon will be trained in Breaching Techniques. For Rockford EMS I am currently an Emergency Medical Responder, which has been in effect as of 7/14/2019. Normally on patrol I am calm and collective, but if needed I will discipline lower ranks if needed and no command is online, even though I do not like to. I know that many command members have now come and gone, such as Felix, MJay, and Dane; and I know that I could never fill their shoes, but I am hoping I could help make this department better in their honor and keep serving this great community of Rockford. You agree that disobeying any rules set by High Command will result in an immediate demotion (Yes/No): Yes Additional Notes: I know that I have not been very active recently with City Police; I have just gotten back from a week and a half long LOA last weekend, and this entire week in general has been very busy for me. I'm sorry for the lack of Activity
  12. I would love to see a new map!!! I would really like to see new regions, new roads, new structures, and potentially new agencies with new vehicles. There are so many potential possibilities for a new map on GamingLight RP, and I would love to see it all happen!!!
  13. It's hard to say goodbye. Nucleus I am so glad I had the honor to have you as one of my Chiefs with RC-EMS. You truly made my short time here so far a great adventure and something I looked forward to. You were the one who trained me and did your best to make me a well-trained EMT for Rockford, and you did. Ever since I met you back in December of 2018, when I was just joining as an OFC with the RCPD, you strived to make me and the other people of the GamingLight Community better people, and helped make this Community a big family. I am glad that I am a part of that family, and you welcomed me into it. Since the first day I have met you, you have done nothing but treat me and others with kindness. You never got involved with drama or petty issues. You only got involved to fix things, and thankfully, you did. There is so much more I could say about you Nucleus, but to sum it all up, YOU ARE AMAZING!!!!! You have some REALLY big shoes to fill at RC-EMS, and I don't think many people on this server could fill them and do what you did, not only as a EMS professional on this server, but as a human and friend to all of us. I hope one day you can come back to us, and we will welcome you back with open arms. Thank you for your Service Nucleus!!!!!!!!!!! With love, Emergency Medical Technician --- R. Gardner --- Echo 5
  14. My first experience with GamingLight was with my friend DanielSem who introducted the server to me. I was going to be trained as an OFC for City PD. At first I got mad and rage quitted the server because I couldn't understand TeamSpeak and no one would explain it to me, so I rejoined and went around with Daniel as a Car Thief until I finally calmed down and decided to get trained in PD. Then I had it dumbed down over time and I was finally trained and I made my first Suicide Attempt Save my first day. I still didn't understand it until about a month after I joined and I was an SNR for PD but I got used to it over time. I got many more memories in GamingLight and I hope to make some more!!!!
  15. Name: Roman Gardner Rank: Emergency Medical Technician Date of Leave: July 9th 2019 Date of Return: July 22nd 2019 Reason: Personally I have been dedicating a lot of time to Gaminglight recently with getting into State Police, joining CERT, training Cadets on PD ( which I apologize for the decrease recently ), and most recently becoming a new EMT with Rockford City EMS. At this point I feel a little worn out and I don't want to burn myself out on GamingLight because I love the server and the community that is with it, whether it be the hilarious civilian interactions or fun trainings and operations I run with the multiple departments I am with. For right now I just need a break from the GamingLight Server. Starting this Sunday, July 14th, I will also be going on Vacation so I wouldn't be able to play much anyways. I hope you all understand and I promise I will be back. Roman Gardner Emergency Medical Technician Echo 5

  17. Personally I am NOT part of GamingLight Staff, so don't take my word on it, but I think One Week In Game.
  18. I agree. The map we are operating on now is great! It has a simple design, mostly easy to maneuver around, and when Roleplaying as a Government Agency it is easy to recognize and call-out landmarks if needed, but it would be nice to have a new map, with potentially new areas, new buildings, new landmarks, and potentially new scenarios other than the common Bank Robbery, House Raid, Warehouse Raid, or whatever it may be. I agree with Daniel; lets see a new map, or possibly go back to the new one for a little bit!!!!!!!!!

  23. By now I can assume that many people have heard about the sad and tragic death of Youtuber Etika. He was only 29 and lost his battle with depression, which lead to him passing away. Many people don't realize what depression is or how it exactly effects people, so I hope I can explain a little bit. Depression is a chemical imbalance in the brain, which causes people to feel sad and alone. You would also find yourself disconnecting from others, not doing activities that you love anymore, and potentially thoughts of suicide. Personally I have gone through depression before. I am a 15 year old Jr. Firefighter with my local VFC, and I'm just outside of Pittsburgh. Normally my township that I run calls with doesn't have too many exciting or bad calls, but every once in a while we have a string of bad calls where people get hurt, and sadly people die. For me, that was early March of this year, which I responded to a Motor Vehicle Accident ( Motorcycle vs Pickup Truck ), and sadly, I lost my first patient. Even today I can still remember everything about that call; everything I did, everything once the coroner arrived, even when I got back to the station. Personally I never reached the point of thinking about suicide, but it took me a good two months to get over this call. Thankfully I had everyone at the firehouse behind me to help, along with my family at home and friends; to which many people don't have. Many people don't have others in their life to help them and talk to them. But sadly for some, many have people who will make it worse by saying "get over it" of "you'll be fine", but the grim reality is by saying that you are not helping, you are harming. This subject does really hit home for me, and this isn't a joke or something to mess around with. You never know who could be struggling and who could actually be crying out for help. If you see some kid at school sitting alone, invite him to your table or friend group for lunch or recess (if you're younger). If you see someone at work not acting right, try talking to them and may ask them to get coffee or come over for the football game that weekend as a friend. It may not seem like it, but the little things matter. I can guarantee that EVERYONE on this server wants to be treated like human, like they have a friend they can run to, like they have family they can love and be loved by. I know I do. For everyone on the GamingLight Community, be there for each other. Be the one to make that small act that could save someone's life, whether it be you are a continent away or only a few miles. Be the change this world needs, help someone, because many people don't know what that feels like. If anyone is struggling with depression or any other mental health issues and needs someone to talk to, don't be afraid to contact me through Forums or Discord, I am always here to help if you're comfortable with talking about stuff. Thank you all, make the world a better place and have a great day! ---SM Roman Gardner 1A88 ---Trooper Gardner 1T
