  1. Name: R. Gardner Rank: Lieutenant How Active Do You Think You Are (Be Honest): Inactive. However, I am on LOA currently and I have talked to High Command (Dep. Chief Ryan) about my activity. Why Do You Want To Stay In EMS?: Yes What Could Change In EMS?: More information. Many people may type (if they do at all) "/advert Administers NARCAN" but no one actually knows what the medication Narcan does. Another example is Morphine. Many people think it "takes away the pain" however it blocks pain receptors in the brain, which many people do not know, which proves it doesn't "take away" pain, but temporarily hides it. I just ask people to be more educated.

  11. Rank You are Applying For: Captain In-Game Name: R. Gardner (Roman Gardner) SteamID: 76561198854559654 Current Rank: Lieutenant How long have you been in your current rank?: Roughly 4 months (since June 2019) What timezone are you in?: EST (Eastern Standard Time) How many Warns do you have?: 1 Why should you be promoted (150 words Minimum): I have been part of the True North City Police Department (then Rockford City PD) since December of 2018. I joined this community and quickly jumped at the opportunity to be a Police Officer. I quickly rose through the ranks with great leaders such as Matthew, Zage, Rubin, Cashtag, and Alex who have made me a better officer and person. Eventually, over time I have also joined and I am currently and SGT for the True North State Police and their Civil Emergency Response Team. I am also currently a Lieutenant with the True North Emergency Medical Services. Over time I had gained the respect of many officers and members of Low and High Command for many departments, both retired and active. Over my time as Lieutenant and before as a Sergeant and higher I have trained and mentored many new cadets and Patrol Officers, and I am proud to say that many of them are now experienced Sergeant Majors, and possibly even Lieutenants alongside me. Hopefully, you all feel I am ready for the leadership position as Captain and give me the opportunity to serve this department to the best of my abilities, and I can make better memories with all of you with the upcoming weeks, months, and possibly even years. You agree that disobeying any rules set by High Command will result in an immediate demotion (Yes/No): Yes
  12. Hello everyone, My name is Roman Gardner. Many of you in Police RP know me as PD-LT Gardner, EMS-LT, and a State Police Sergeant. Many of you who know me more on a personal level also know that I am a Jr. Firefighter in my township, for my local VFC. I have been doing this job for roughly a year and a half. I have seen some tough things, things that will make you cry, things that will make you wanna scream, and things that will rip your heart into two. However, it isn't all bad, I have seen some amazing things and even a few miracles, but that is a story for another day. The main topic of today is Mental Health. Personally, I do not suffer from any mental health disorders, but I do have friends and co-workers who do. Many people do not recognize what people go through when they have a mental illness. They cannot get over it. They cannot magically "pull-through". They cannot get better magically. They need help. No, not overbearing loving help, but simple friendly help. Obviously serious disorders such as Post Traumatic Stress Disorder need more than just friendliness, but we will use Clinical Depression as an example. Many people are diagnosed with this and it is the most common. I am not going to go into detail of what it all is, but to keep what I'm trying to say short and sweet, you do not need to overbear on people who have mental issues. Treat them like it is a normal day. Have them over for dinner, hang out, watch a movie. If it is a kid you go to school with ask him to play a game of Football or Hockey with you. treat them the way YOU would want to be treated if you were in the same position. Treat them the way they WANT to be treated because you never know how they are being treated by adults, parents, relatives, and even your own peers. You never know what goes on in someone's mind or personal life. If you treat them how they want to be treated, and now how they are treated, they will be forever grateful. That weird kid who acts out in Chemistry Class? Sit down and talk to him. See what's going on. Maybe you might be his only friend. Have a co-worker who is depressed and potentially thinking of suicide? Try talking to them, it might just save their life. The moral of my story here is to try and get people to be better human beings. I want everyone to think about what I say and truly take it into consideration. I know that this post is a little out of nowhere, and my point may be a little everywhere with this topic I attempted to cover, but hopefully, I got the message across. To ANYONE who may read this with a Mental Disorder or is having trouble : There is no shame in asking for or looking for help! Just because you ask for help does not mean you are weak, or a coward. If anything you are ine of the brave, because not many people ask for help. I am always here to talk if anyone needs someone to talk to. I do not care who you are, where you come from, what your race is, what religion you are a part of. I will help you to the best of my abilities if you talk to me. I am on GamingLight PD, FR, EMS, and State Police Discords if you would like to contact me, other than that I do check Forums regularly if you DM me on here or want someone to talk to. Thank you all for listening. --Roman Gardner-- ---True North City Police - Lieutenant--- ---True North State Police - Sergeant--- ---True North Emergency Medical Services - Lieutenant--- --- Central FD of Elizabeth Township - Jr. Firefighter---
  13. Name: R. Gardner Rank: Lieutenant How active are you: Semi-Active (i think). IRL I have a lot of school to deal with, I am part of my high school's Varsity Hockey Team, and I am also a Jr. Firefighter with my Township. Why should you remain a part of EMS department: I have been part of EMS for many months now, and I have attempted to contributed hours of shift time and running calls with True North Emergency Medical Services. I am also a First Responder in real life and I often will run medical calls in my township. I hope I can bring a more realistic view to EMS in GamingLight and continue serving the community to the best of my abilities. What changes would you like to see: I would like to see FD have a more realistic approach instead of running QRS (Medical) Calls the entire time. It is basically another version of First Responds. I personally would like to assist in creating this realistic approach. There are so many opportunities for FD other than Medical Details. I would like to help our firefighters and medics learn about BVR (Basic Vehicle Rescue) to which I have experience and training in. I fully respect FD and EMS High Command and I hope they give me the opportunity to work with them on this idea that I have. --Lieutenant Roman Gardner-- ---True North City Emergency Medical Services---
