  1. Name: Ternith/Akura Branch: Medical/Technical Rank: Elite Surgeon/Technician Rate your Activity from 1 to 10 (1 being very low 10 being incredible): On avg, around a 5 or 6, low 7. Are you on the Roster: Yes. Suggestions: M o r e l o w e r t e c h j o b s . Also, don't be afraid to ask for events from ET. I'm always open.
  2. + Support Let's look at this rationally. Nuke has to be authorized by Event Team Leader+ if no SMT are available (correct me if I'm outdated) or SMT in general. They also have to be DSD+ to authorize and activate it. If 682 breaches the surface and the server is actively DEAD from the amount of breaches, D-Class rioting, etc. Then it's possible that someone would likely try to activate the nuke. It's rational and should be added.
  3. + Support In case you haven't seen, even ABOVE Lance Corporal can be one shot! It's too OP and requires a nerf. I understand people paid for it, and people paid for the Foolbar (Fubar) as well and it STILL got nerfed!
  4. - SUPPORT Adverted for thermals earlier. Though he does also admit to his mistakes, a verbal notice would be better for this type of situation. Thank you for your side of the story, Cryolast.
  5. What you want to see? - An addition of roleplay for SCP-106 and Janitorial Staff other than just a simple advert. For example, adverting, then rolling against 106, and if that fails, an assist being required or waiting until the next advert for 106 is done. Example for possible additions: SCP 106 - Every 25 minutes a Containment Cleaner needs to apply a base, to neutralize the acidic property of SCP-106’s cell. This advert must be rolled for against SCP-106 or a staff member. If failed and the assist roll fails as well (from Epsilon-11 or another Containment Cleaner), the Foundation Staff attempting re-containment must wait for the next advert to be used from SCP-106 in order for a second attempt. SCP-106 needs to advert along the lines of, “SCP-106’s cell is being withered away, apply a base within 20/15/10/5 minutes.” This needs to be repeated after the original advert. Why should we add it? - Most SCP-106 players cannot breach until the following happens: CI decide to let 106 out (rarer than you think due to the COS rule for 106), D-Class let 106 out (they all pass by), a 106 Breach Event happens (Hoovy says just about no Breach Events), or 106 breaches containment (this is what this post is about). What are the advantages of having this? - SCP-106 can breach a bit more (but not expansively more) and Janitorial Staff can have a bit more excitement while role-playing as they don't have to do one advert and then walk off. As well, it can make MTF more useful as they don't just wander around and are more weary of their surrounding and chat as well. Who is it mainly for? - Janitorial Staff and players who play SCP-106. As well as MTF to consider having to keep closer watch on SCPs like 106. Links to any content - N/A
  6. I have an idea. You get people in Research with Gold+ and encourage them to get on Bright. I know it seems like a bad move, but then again, Bright is the equivalent of your rank in Research, and Bright can be commanded by Researcher+ if he isn't in Research. Also, if you find a person minging, please let us know on the forums. Helps us out a lot.
  7. +/- Support While we have minges in that job, Bright is known for many things in the Foundation lore. Examples being his chainsaw cannon, but he also has a tone of seriousness to him depending on if you want to follow the Personnel Dossier or not. But making it a separate life and making people apply for it when they donate and hopefully get the class? No. Just make them read the SOP.
  8. + Support This isn't researching, but it's something that has been asked if it exists once or twice for D-Class. I think it'd clear things up for those who willingly spend their time to be used by the Foundation to keep SCPs settled for their inevitable escape attempt.
  9. In-Game Name: Vytal (Staff name/Security name) SteamID (Ex. STEAM_0:1:123456789): STEAM_0:1:234721838 What is your ULX Rank?: Trial Moderator What is your RP Rank?: LCPL in Security, attempting to get trained for Medical. What is your timezone?: Eastern Standard How would you rate your knowledge of the SCP world? (1-10): 7 - Due to my experience in GOIs, SCPs, and various departments (both commonly used and uncommon), I believe this can accurately depict my knowledge. Do you have any experience as a Gamemaster or Event Planner? (If so, explain it): Yes. I've been apart of this Event Team as a Senior Event Team Member, and have done various events for the SCP-RP server overall. How Active are you? (1/10): High 6, low 7 - This is due to me recently coming back to the SCP-RP GamingLight server, and currently being a Trial Moderator at the time of application. How many warns do you have? (Across all Gaminglight Servers): None. Why should we allow you to be an Event Team Member (150+ Words)?: I should be an Event Team Member due to my creativity and former experience in the Event Team. I have been a Dungeon Master for Dungeons and Dragons, and have also been a player. This gave me experience to help know what to expect within the confines of both Game masters and the players. I've gotten mostly good ratings in previous events before I left, and have attempted to see what I can do to help. I've also attempted my best to be punctual - especially to meetings for Staff and Event Team, and have helped where I could when requested. I know some may remember my mistakes from the past as mentioned in my Staff Application, and I don't expect anyone to forget. I wish to join to help rectify these mistakes and to help the community become more involved with the bridge between Staff/Event Team and the player base. Describe an event you could create (The more specific the better): This is more of a chain of events. The event would be androids entering the facility to attack and capture some SCP objects or just general information. We would eventually come to find out these come from a multi-billion dollar corporation which has many offices across the globe. The second event would be a representative of the corporation (a Researcher) visiting to apologize for the "rogue" robots. The Foundation would gain information and learn that the Chairman - named "Dylan" - traveled very often from continent to continent. In the third event, the Chairman would arrive at the town and people would begin to disappear and be replaced with armed personnel. The CI would contact the corporation and gain an ally - but have it short lived with a Foundation ambush and an evacuation of the Headquarters. The fourth event would be a coordinated raid against the Foundation. This would involve mostly android and would eventually lead in the corporation failing or succeeding (if an SCP is captured). The final event would be a stand off between the Chairman and one of the Site Admins in a checkers match (giant checkers) which would lead to the Chairman failing and being captured/executed. Have you read the Event Team Guidelines?: Yes. What is your favorite SCP? Why?: Generally, I'm open to many SCPs. My favorite has changed overtime - from 049, to 106, to 912 - The reason I like all of them is the aesthetic that the document creates. SCP documents are meant to give you a sense of fear, passion, overwhelming anger, even. It's the detail, it's the passion, and it's the aesthetic that a document can draw me in with. That is the reason that I like multiple SCPs, and why this - sometimes - can change. If I had to choose, though, it would have to be the SCPs I listed before for the same reason.
  10. + SUPPORT LEANING NEUTRAL + Reached Q15 word requirement. + Able to stay up late, some of us staff are unable due to school or work. + Good explanation on Q16. +/- A ban is not absolutely required for this type of offense as listed on Q16 +/- One warn which is more recent, but it's a minor accident (unless he prop-killed, which, if he has, please tell me so I can change my response). I wish you luck on passing this application.
  11. + SUPPORT + Reached word count for Q15, also well worded. + Good explanation on what to do on Q16. +/- Ban isn't absolutely required. It's only a last resort if they reach certain amounts of warns. I wish you luck on passing this application.
  12. + Support People need to know when and when not to shoot. Even I, as a Security Lance Corporal know of hand glitches that cause one hand over your heart and the other one up. In this case, it's entirely common sense. If he learns his lesson from this, then good. If not, oh well, he'll just get warned again.
  13. What is your in-game name?: AEGIS Chairman Ternith (At the time of applying) What is your steam name?: Dr. Ternith Plague What is your steam ID?: STEAM_0:1:234721838 Do you have any other experience with staffing?: (If yes, explain) Yes. I have previous experience as an SCP-RP Administrator, as well as a Junior Staff and Omnifarious Education SCP-RP. What date did you start playing on the community? (roughly): Roughly early 2019 to late 2018, if I last remember correctly. Though I returned more recently. What date did you make your forums account?: September 18th, 2018 Current rank on server (This is a ULX rank ONLY! Not a RP Rank)?: Bronze How many warns do you have on the server (Show proof with a screenshot)?: None. Have you donated?: No. My rank was obtained via a giveaway that happened quite a bit ago. What rank are you applying for?: Trial Moderator. Are you staff on another community (BE HONEST)?: No. Have you read the staff guidelines? You will be tested on it: Yes. I have read the Staff Guidelines. Timezone: Eastern Standard Time. Permission (Senior Moderator+ need this): N/A Why do you believe that you deserve the rank? (150 Word Minimum): I think I deserve Trial Moderator due to my previous experience in GamingLight. I returned because I felt like there was something missing, and decided to come back to find out what it was. I've done well with Staff Sits and have even gotten to the rank of Admin before my eventual Notice of which I left. I believe I deserve this position because of my knowledge on Staff Command involving both Event Team and Normal Staffing, as well as knowing common sense on what and what not to use for commands. I've also been in almost all divisions, thus knowing what their purpose, most of the time, is. I've also done many events (which, though useful for Event Team, is not commonly used for Staff Team), which pertained to creativity. This knowledge and previous knowledge involving the Foundation, it's lore, and usage in situations involving staff sits can prove I'm an able body member for the SCP-RP Staff Team. How would you handle someone that is Mass RDMing and when you bring him/her to an admin sit all they do is curse at you?: I would first bring them to a secluded place with the person who called the sit, and tell them what they have been reported for while reviewing the Kill/Damage Logs. Once they started cursing continuously I would mute and gag them and ask them to stop. I would then ungag them and unmute them. If they continued, I'd mute and gag them for the rest of the sit. I would also review their warnings. If they reached one of the Warning Limits on the Guidelines, I would call a person of the appropriate rank for their decision on punishments involving this situation. If they didn't reach the warning limit, I'd give the usual punishment to them. Though I wouldn't be able to give the jail/minge time as required, I'd call a person who would be able to give the punishment, and just warn them as usual.
  14. I do think the approach is aggressive, but, could be needed. It could also be a generalization.
  15. Give it some time, maybe later in your career here at GamingLight.
  16. r/showerthoughts, I know, but. Here we go. I was taking my pre-bed shower. Then, i began thinking. Thoughts rushed through my mind and then... I remember you all. I'm sure a lot has changed. I'm sure I need to be reacquainted with the community before I Rush-B for that staff position. But I'm back. I'm going to be back. And I'll start with a list of things NOT to do.
  17. It's hard typing a final notice out. I've made a lot of friends that I don't want to leave, but... this server needs to move on a small bit. I've had my time, trying to decide on LOA which I've tried to get on and secure my TS3 ability, but I've just been unable. I'd like to thank Igneous and th3 for giving me the opportunity of staffing. I'd like to thank Kade for accepting me for Event Team originally and Hoovy for taking his place when he stepped down from Leader. I'd also like to thank Blackbeard for leading MTF and Rangiatea for giving me a small bit of time as GENSEC Low Command. Finally, I'd like to thank the rest of ya'll for helping me on my way through. I've had my time, but I think it's time to go. Thanks you all. This is Vytal, or Ternith, signing off for a good while. Thank you. - Ternith, to-be former Administrator for GamingLight SCP-RP.
  18. You are VERY late on saying this. If you are going to comment, and I am attempting to say this nicely, please do so sooner.
  19. + Support Nothing else needs to be said. If this were a court case, this is all the evidence required to be factually decided as 'guilty'.
  20. +/- Support Meh. You don't REQUIRE these player-models, but, it could be useful to identify a Site Director by suit and tie. Just no trench coat since CI R&D uses it.
  21. - Support Distinct mingery was found within the ranks of Security Officers, along with unnecessary chatter upon communications frequencies. But, GENSEC is also expected to know how to operate a radio by the time the get to Lance Corporal (which you can get almost immediately after if you're excelling). Removal/adding of a radio to certain jobs is unnecessary and unneeded.
