  1. -support Jakub while you’re a good guy and I respect you, sir, I don’t believe you deserve this position. You at times minge and might put the wrong foot forward for O9. You have to consider that they practically need to be built from the ground up again, and I don’t fully think that you’d be able to do that. However, I do believe that you’d be a pretty good addition to O9 low command. Good luck
  2. In Game Name: October Steam ID: STEAM_0:0:101840878 What is your current Rank: CI MAJ What Type of Command Position are you applying for (High Command / Low Command): High command Do you have experience in Command, if yes explain: Yes, I am currently a CI MAJ as well as a retired CI CMDR, as well as a few other departments that I used to be a part of on PoliceRP (rip NSA if you know). Date of when you first joined MTF / Chaos Insurgency: I rejoined CI on 3/20/20 How many Strikes do you have: 0 What is your main goal of being Omicron-9 Low / High Command: My main goal of being O9 high command would be to immediately find ways to get more people to join and increase activity because at the moment it is lacking. Activity starts with command, so obviously I would make sure that we got the right command in place to help me push activity from everyone else. I would also want to release a branch update because those typically lead to a sudden surge in activity, and I would like to use Kilo’s wonderful idea of a google form to get suggestions from everyone in O9. Do you think there is any issues with the branch and if so how would you fix it (High Command Applications Only): In my opinion, the biggest issue currently facing O9 is their activity. This is because it seems at times that MTF activity is a zero sum game. What I want to do is, as I said above, push activity and release a branch update (post weapons update of course). I also think that another issue facing O9 is that all MTF branches are fairly similar. This in part leads to the creation of a zero sum game. What I would do is have a sit down with site administration and other MTF high command to talk about how we can give each branch their own individual roles within this facility. What do you think of Omicron-9's ability to keep the facility under control from GOI's and what do you think can be improved (High Command Applications Only): What can be improved? Well at the moment I think that O9 does a very good job, but from a CI perspective I find them easy to overpower because I find them traveling alone. What needs to be instituted is a more squad based system, similar to what A1 had when it came to protecting VIP’s. Should I be accepted I do have a plan with how activity can be improved including having a sit down with Nu7 and GENSEC high command and talk about temporarily lowering the rank requirement to join O9 as well as blocking transfers by RCT’s in O9 to NU7, I would then push my number of FTO’s and possibly institute a training quota like CI has. Why should we accept you in Omicron-9 Command (150 word minimum): This is a very tough question to answer. At the moment I’m not in O9, my only life is CI. I’ve always focused more on being CI than MTF, except for my few stints in A1 of course. And of course I don’t deserve this position simply because I wrote an application. The reason I deserve this position is because I’ve built branches up from the ground in the past, and I can do that again. I’m not saying O9 doesn’t exist, but when you take a look at their roster they are almost as bare as the day when I started CI. If I were O9 HCMD I would rebuild this branch and make sure that it became the best MTF unit. To build a branch from the ground you need to start a strong base of people who will do good by the branch, and they get quickly promoted. While you’re doing this you have to push the number of FTO’s that you have and make sure to push trainings. Another reason I deserve to be in O9 HCMD is because I understand what it means to be in HCMD. You have to be diplomatic and serious. I like to think that, despite the jokes I like to crack from time to time, I get serious when it’s needed. Also, I understand how to be diplomatic. You can ask Aleks, but I was the one who wrote the statement to Beanz and Inacc when the utility rule was first revoked. Overall, I deserve this position because I am diplomatic, serious, courteous and trustworthy.
  3. -support I don’t want to be rude, but you can be very toxic, and have issues balancing branch relations.
  4. Ingame Name: October From a scale of 1-10 how is your knowledge of lore? (Explain): 9.5 Why should we allow you to have the position? (At least 300 words): When I read this question I realized that there was so much that could be said to answer this question. I could point to my experience, my dedication, my drive, how funny I am and how trustworthy I am. (I can’t confirm that the last two points are true, but I like to think that they are). I’ll start off by expanding on my points listed above. I don’t want to sound like I’m bragging, but I’ve been here for awhile, and I’ve filled many positions: I’ve led branches, I’ve staffed, etc. What I’m trying to say is that I’ve been here almost as long as Igneous, and I remain dedicated. I know I’m writing this application as a joke, but I’m also writing it in honor of a friend and mentor, Mike, so (and this might sound crazy) I’ve rewritten this thing about eight times so far. That’s a great show of dedication, lol. Anyways time to continue, I strive to be the best. Most of my drive comes out of spite, which a lot of people will tell you is a bad thing, but my goal is to be number one, and I want to help as many people as possible. When I say that I’m driven by spite, I mean that others telling me I can’t do something only makes me want to do it even more. When I started CI, I would raid the foundation as a single person, and everyone would tell me your branch will never grow, we’re too strong. I didn’t listen (yes weird flex, I know). I like to think that I helped turn it into what it is today, I can’t claim credit for all of it though because many people, better people than I am, have passed through CI and done so much more than I could even claim I’ve ever done. See my humility there, clearly the signs of someone fit for leadership. Isaac Asimov once said, “those who don’t want to lead are the best leaders,” sadly I do want to lead, so I don’t exactly fit what Asimov is looking for, but I believe that I’ll make an amazing councilman should I get accepted. Thank you for reading this. This is a shout-out to Mike, the best manager SCP-RP has ever had or could ever ask for, sorry Ingots. How would you lead the branches and the foundation? (At least 150 words): This is a nice question, my policy on being high command is that we’re now the administrators, not the people whose job is leading the enlisted. We deal with issues between command and help out command/branch leaders, but we shouldn’t step in. Similar to laissez-faire economics, we need to be hands free until we don’t need to be. There is no perfect method, but I believe that giving branch leaders, who know their branch members, more breathing room will allow the branch to grow. I, of course, will always be there for people who need me. (I’ve never been much of a stickler for people violating chain of command to speak with me, unless I request that they don’t). So, to quickly recap because I need more words, I will be there for the foundation and branches when they need me, but I will give branch leaders breathing room. I will also oversee people such as the (D)SD to make sure that they’re doing their jobs properly. In my system, which is what we kinda have currently, branch leaders manage the branch, the SD’s manage the Directors, and the O5 steps in where they’re needed. Thank you, October How active would you say you could be be? (Longer the better): Activity is an area where I excel. I’m one of the most active CI command. I’m on most days and nights for a pretty long time. I’ll almost always be available when called, especially due to coronacation. Do not make an SOP, I will be doing that myself (I am O5-01). Also, there are going to only be five four positions open (O2 through O4). Keep in mind we will not fill all these spots instantly though. These positions will be very selective!
  5. Exactly. If you need help with stuff just contact a forums diplomat and we can clean up your section. Also, this has been denied in the past.
  6. I mean they turn it off all the time tho.
  7. You’d be surprised. Even before when CI didn’t need to roll to turn off lights/teslas/lockdown it still never happened. Why is this? Because doing it is a spotlight on us, which we don’t want because we want to mitigate the amount of combatants we have to face. The only times we turn off the lights are either a donor/alpha not following orders, or when we’re on our way out and we want to meme. I do support this alarm idea, but I do agree with Protoss that if this alarm is implemented then it turns into a “damned if you do; damned if you don’t” scenario. Tho, the alarm makes roleplay sense, as Calamity pointed out, so I believe the compromise would be to lower the amount we have to roll.
  8. -support I don’t see the need in stopping this. Obviously neither side betrays every time, and we CI CMD try to mitigate theses actions, but I don’t think it makes lore or RP sense to regulate this. If CI wanted an absurd amount of money of course MTF would betray us. If MTF wasn’t listening or not being serious maybe CI might consider doing the same thing. You have to consider the ramifications of this passing, and when you do I think you’ll agree with me.
  9. This section is also used for blacklists from specific jobs as well. Anyways -support Many people have voiced their opinion that you deserve a 2nd chance, but after looking at all your warns I don’t think you do.
  10. +support, the evidence is obvious.
  11. —ACCEPTED— After review by CI command your application has been accepted. Please join the discord and request an FTO.
  12. —DENIED— After review by CI command your application has been denied. You may reapply in 5 days.
  13. -support I don’t think it’s worth the waste of time to code a custom addon based on the description of 310.
  14. —DENIED— After review by CI command your application has been denied. In the future make sure to not post in the archives section.

  17. From my perspective it is annoying, but not unmanageable, and I don’t feel that any rule against it needs to be made.
  18. -support Gunther I understand where you’re coming from, but this rule would be literally impossible to enforce because both CI and MTF can spawn slams, but you can’t differentiate between the two.
  19. -support You didn’t comply with staff which is what NCWS means.

    Salty Report

I completely and totally disagree with this statement. This isn’t the first time that he has said the n-word as I reported him earlier today in game for saying it. A perma ban (or community blacklist) is absolutely what he deserves because speech of this kind is not at all tolerated in GL.

    scp 912

To my knowledge, I haven’t heard of people working on a replacement for 912.
  22. The issue is that 457’s SCP guidelines don’t mention anything about containment. It’s commonly understood that you need 3+ people on him to recontain him, but that too is under the self-breaching guidelines, not the SCP one. You cannot pick and choose when you decide to apply the rules from different sections as this report is doing. Yes but the MOTD does give an answer. The 3+ people, as I stated above, comes from his self-breaching guide. The rule is clarified it’s just niche and unknown because no one plays 457. Overall, with consideration that this was already handled in game, I see no reason why Orange deserves any form of punishment.
  23. After consideration of Jakub’s point and re-watching the video it becomes clear that Orange was counting to 10 as that’s what the MOTD requires. -support as everything he did was following the MOTD.
  24. Lol you have 90 . Anyways good job to you Glados and if you’re proud about it then be happy and proud! Congrats on 300, but seriously you aren’t cool until you have 1000 lol.
