Well its been fun kidnapping janitorial and making them clean random stuff up or making from run a bar or having them fight in the gladiatorial ring and of course my personal favorite the blind dates. O yes we had fun but i'm afraid all great things have to come to an end and by that I mean Janitorial not me. I'm of course internal I shall live on for ever from on top of DNB mountain where i may grant my blessing to pilgrims that make the dangerous travel powers of unfortified shenanigans. In case you a bit slow on the pick up *cough enuz* I'm keeping up with the trend on the server and retiring due to my new job requiring me to fly to the work camp and working 3 weeks straight before flying home for 3 weeks than doing it all over again, on top of the angry duck that want me blood dead for no reason. Ok maybe their is a reason or maybe that a story for another time? Now don't panic I'll still find time to bully you guys once I get back,. Now for the big list that makes people left out because there not on it! Thanks Gibson for always being by my side, no matter the hour. Do you have any other experience with staffing?: Yes, and for ease of reading i have compiled it all into this document. What date did you start playing on the community? : Around the 15th-20th of September, last year. What date did you make your forums account? : September 22nd, last year. Permission (Senior Moderator+ need this): Catsro, Hoovy, Rookieblue, Munchies, Rangieta, Igneous. Why do you believe that you deserve the rank? (150 Word Minimum) : I believe that I’m properly suited for a few reasons. For Starters, i have a fairly large amount of experience staffing, as well as simply playing Gmod, both on this server as well as others. This has given me a good understanding of how to behave myself as a Staff Member, and as a player. My behavior and personality are also good reasons for me to become a Senior Admin, i’m generally rather laid back and always willing to help players in anything they might need. I’m a firm believer that Staff exists to ensure that players have a good time on the server, not to warn everyone for every slight rule infraction. I believe that this attitude makes me an approachable, and generally kind Staff Member to the players. I’m also able to be trusted with the capabilities and duties that the rank entails, as can be shown by both my position as DDOU and Senior ET Member, i’m trusted to handle matters on my own, and can give aid to others if they need it. However, i don’t believe that i’m infallible, i know i make mistakes and am always making constant efforts to improve on them. My Timezone is also a benefit, it allows me to be on the server during times where other staff members might not be. This means that i can make sure that the server is calm and that players are enjoying themselves even during times where other staff can’t. I can also either fix/report issues which might have been caused by the daily restart before the server get up and active, to ensure that there is minimal obstruction to player enjoyment. I also believe that i am generally well liked in the community, i know that there are certainly some people who dislike me, but i’m always making efforts to ensure that people enjoy my presence, and make attempts to make amends with anyone who might dislike me. In General, my abilities and experience make me well suited for the position of Senior Admin, and i hope that i’ll be considered for the position. Thank you for reading, and have a nice day! How would you handle someone that is Mass RDMing and when you bring him/her to an admin sit all they do is curse at you? Give the player in question a verbal warning to stop this behavior, and inform them that doing so will only make their current situation worse. If they start behaving civilly after this, the sit can continue as per normal. If they keep up their behavior, i would gag/mute them and issue a Disrespect warning. After this i would use the logs to check if the player actually MRDM’d, possibly asking them question in relation to the kills they have made. If the player was muted/Gagged previously i’d ungag/unmute them so that they can answer the questions, unless they keep up their previous behavior. If it is shown that the player did indeed MRDM, i’d inform them that they will be receiving a ban and warning for said behavior, and then Issue a ban and a warning for it. Please pick and answer one of the questions only if applying for Senior Moderator. If applying for Admin pick two and answer them. If applying for Senior Admin you must answer all three. Answering more than the required amount of questions for the rank you are applying for will result in your application being denied. Q1: You are involved in a staff sit that involves 5 different players. The players begin to get frustrated and the sit becomes very toxic and unproductive. What would you do in this situation? Start by removing any players from the sit which are not actually required to be there, in all the time i’ve been a staff member there’s never really been a sit which needed more than 3 players present. If that is not possible or after that is done, i’d ask the remaining players to please calm down so that we can continue the sit. If needed gags/mutes might be issued to players who refuse to calm down. After this continue the sit as per normal. Q2: In your opinion, what is the best way to handle a situation involving a player that clearly does not care about the punishments they are receiving? In my experience players that simply do not care won't care no matter what you say. Just do matters as per usual, if they do not care about their punishment then that is up to them. If they keep up their behavior it’ll just be bad for them. Q3: There is a player abusing a known bug, and he has been reported to staff. He swears he followed the server rules when you talk with him. What's the best way to handle this? I’m answering this on the assumption that i have evidence of the abuse, as that's how i’ve seen others answer it. Please inform me if that’s wrong. If the player claims to have followed server rules, but the evidence proves the opposite, i’d inform the player of which rule specifically he broke. In this case, rule 10 of the General rules section of the MOTD. Then properly explain how he violated said rule, and I’d then inform him that he will be receiving a warning for his behavior, and then issue said warning.

  22. Yea... so the title obviously gave it away, Thank you for everything and I still like SRT. I just want to move on and try other stuff for now as I kinda got bored of SRT and just forcing myself to hop on once in awhile and do time cards on staff (Shush Duncan) but yea.. I am the Community Manager for a Youtuber's Fan Discord, however that doesn't require me to be there much, the Mods and Admins run the Discord quite well. As previously stated, my position with the Discord does require my attention to be ran, as the Mods and Admin are professional and competent enough to do it themselves. (150 Word Minimum): I want to rejoin to the staff team because it was one of two things I was passionate about on the server, the other being Security's Low Command. During my time as staff, I did an amazing job, I was helpful and lenient with new players while at the same time stern and stricter with players who are familiar with the game and the rules. This combined with my status as a Command Member and me having been extremely active on the server for over a year earned me the title of Admin. One thing I value is honesty and self-reflection, so I feel as though I should bring to light a little backstory on why I was removed and the changes since then. A few months ago, I lost both positions due to depression and increased stress with trying to balance both positions. My feelings of being an inadequate Command member stressed me out and left in a constant bad mood, which I took out on everyone. When I lost my Admin position, I thought it would help me out since it gave me more time and allowed me to be a better leader. 3 months later, I lost my Command position, and as upset as I was, I realized that change was the best thing that happened to me. I was too stubborn to leave Gensec on my own terms, so someone making me leave felt like a weight being lifted. Almost all of my negative energy left me when I lost my position, as well as the month I spent during a ban. In that time, I worked on my mental and physical health. I lost a lot of weight, I started a Youtube channel, and I feel a lot happier now. However, I fully understand a month doesn't and won't change how people see me. I understand a lot of people still see me as a guy who complains a lot, and gets easily upset, which yes, I do. I do get upset sometimes, and during those times I leave the game before I get any angrier, but I've made huge efforts to laugh everything off. If I take everything, gameplay-wise, as a joke, there's no reason to get upset. I came close to being permanently removed from the community and that lit a fire under my butt. It made me realize if I didn't change, I would not get a second chance. This leads to the reason I want to rejoin. I love this community, I've made lots of friends here and a lot of relationships with people. I want to contribute and help make this community a friendly one, and a place people want to come back to. I want this to use this opportunity to not only improve my reputation and relations with everyone, but also use it as a way to show people that SMT didn't make a mistake letting me stay. I believe I deserve the rank because I'm very familiar with all the rules, including branch specific rules. I'm very active in the community and especially on the forums, amassing an amount of over 1,100 forums posts and replies. I've been staff before and have common sense, I know when to verbally or formally warn, and know when to get higher ups to help me. I'm familiar with the commands and rules of being staff, and I'm a leader. If given the chance, I can use my prior knowledge and experience to help other Trial Mods. How would you handle someone that is Mass RDMing and when you bring him/her to an admin sit all they do is curse at you?: I would bring the person who called the sit to Staff Room 1-3, depending on what is open, and ask the person if they know who killed them, or who was killing. If not, I'd look in logs and check the combat logs and find who killed the person who called the sit, or whomever is mass killing based on logs. I would bring them to the sit and return the person who called it. I would ask why he was MRDMing and wait for his response. If they all they do is curse at me, depending on if its through voice or chat, I would either gag or mute them. I would then proceed to tell them if they do not cooperate with me, and be respectful, their punishment will be much longer than it would initially. If they continue to curse after I ungag or unmute them, I would regag or remute them, and call an Admin and then proceed to look up their warn history, if they have multiple incidents, I'd relay that info to the Admin who is taking care of the ban. I would warn them for NCWS | Staff Diss | MRDM x (number of victims) | and LTAP, if he LTAP'd, which in prior experience happens almost every time, and add at the end Appeal @ Gaminglight.com/forums/. I would then thank the Admin for their help. If they offender did decide to cooperate and stopped cursing at me, depending on what was said and how cooperative they were, I may dismiss the initial cursing. Same as with the other scenario, I would call an Admin and inform the offender they will be banned for X number of days depending on the Admin's decision and proceed to warn them for MRDM x (number of victims) | Appeal @ Gaminglight.com/forums/.
