Inferno Squad Resignation As of today i will be taking my leave as Iden Versio, Although this may come as a surprise to some others have probably seen this coming. It’s been a fun journey but all trips come to an end eventually. What are you suggesting? - Removal of the current defcon system or a fix this is because the defcon icon always glitches and disappears from your screen. I suggest replacing it with the old defcon system however if there his potential of a new and improved defcon system that would be good as well. How would this change better the server? - Prevents the constant disappearing of the defcon icon on everybody's screens. Are there any disadvantages of making this change to the server? I've been in the Maintenance branch for quite a while, more than 2 months. I have been very active on Maintenance from the first day I joined to the exact time I am making this application. I've resigned from Chaos Insurgency and E-11 Command to focus and put my time and love for Maintenance. And thanks to being a CMD member in E-11, I now have experience as CMD and am willing to put my experience on Maintenance. I've seen examples from other CMD not just from Maintenance, but from other branches and plan to do what they do to do the best possible. I have also been entrusted with the rank of SVFTO to train JFTOs for FTO. Having been given this rank, this gives me more experience to possibly train Novice Containment Specialists in the future if this application gets accepted. Having seen my 1st application denied, I've decided to put extra effort and dedication to the Maintenance Branch. [The following questions are intended to test your response and ability as command. You must answer 2 (two) of the questions, though you may answer all 3 if you wish.] 8-1. A Utility Trainee has escaped the training room and is refusing to return, how would you handle this? Would make sure that the Maintenance Bunks Door is closed, if not, immediately close it. Kindly ask the trainee to return to training room. Further escalations if the trainee refuses will result him being in restraints. Refusing to be arrested will have to force staff to be involved. After the trainee is restricted by movement, I will inform the trainee depending on the severity of his crimes about his DNT length. And I would demote him myself and move on. A trainee who acts like that doesn't deserve to be in the Maintenance branch. 8-2. Some enlisted members have begun RDMing each other in bunks as a way to pass time, what would you do in this situation? After more experience with seeing something like this from Research, it obviously gets annoying from all the gunshots and SFX. Telling them to stop would be the first thing to do. Refusing to obey CMD orders would be a verbal warning/formal warning depending if they continue shooting each other or instead, shoot at me. And staff will have to be involved to warn the enlisted members if they shoot me. If the enlisted is a Maintenance Expert, I would request AMM+ to strike/demote the enlisted Maintenance. 8-3. A Junior Maintenance is breaking multiple SOP rules such as improperly using tools and disregarding DEFCON rules, what are your next steps? Due to the 1 Strike Policy that Junior Maintenances have, a removal will be imminent. The Junior Maintenance should know most of our SOP rules and shouldn't be breaking them if they passed the test. If a certain amount of Junior Maintenance are being removed because of this, I would look at who trained them and make sure the trainer tells future members that they are on a 1 strike policy, so don't break any severe SOP rules. Failure of this will be a talking to during the Maintenance meeting and possibly the trainer getting in trouble.

Hey there, this is going to be quite a long and emotional post, so if you can't read the whole thing grab a snack and some water! I wanna start off by saying all of this post is about what I've observed of this server over the last 6-7 months and how it has changed my mindset as a literal person. Please take this post seriously, as it took a lot to make and I wanted to share my story with this community. "The affection of a hobby can be more impactful than a bullet." - me lol When I first joined Gaminglight, I was a typical "squeaker". I was quite unintelligient, and I'd minge and just generally screw around as I had no idea what I was doing. I met a few individuals back then, who are some of the closest people I know to this day. It's always been a 50% community for me, but when you look at it from the bigger picture it is a whole lot more than that. This is the most positive Star Wars community and least mingy one your going to find. This server's management and moderation team are both hard working and dedicated individuals. I've never been judged by a staff member or regimental officer for any sort of things I have. For your info, I have numerous mental diseases that I'm fine with telling you I have, thanks to a great person named Deaf Bobby. Even though he may not recognize me, he put an impact on me. Thanks, man! These diseases are genuinely annoying. One of the hugest ones is low-spectrum autism, which heavily affects me on the internet due to the autistic jokes, but being apart of this server has granted me immunity to this. This server has given me careful exposure to this. I know you might be thinking "ayo wth is this post??". I wanted to tell you this because you should know how great the community your apart of is, and why you shouldn't take being apart of it for granted. Back to the staff part, they legit never judged me for how my voice may have sounded or how LITERALLY AUTISTIC I act sometimes. The staff is kind hearted, and 100% deserves to be apart of staff. For Zeeptin, what you've created here is something only you have on Garry's Mod. Have a round of applause for yourself. Before this next paragraph, make sure you realize the friendships you make can disappear in an instant and you shouldn't take them for granted. Individuals flood out, and flood into this community. Learn to adapt, and move on, or it's gonna be hard here. Be happy for them that they can be in someone that better fits them, and their life. Think of their sake first, and not how its going to affect your own happiness. Now, the main reason I made this post. The reason is because I want to talk about my friendships on this server, how they affected me, and why you shouldn't take them for granted. I joined with basically nothing, and was approached by numerous individuals including Jake ( guy who owns a lot of CCs ). He was a individual who helped me a lot, and inspired me to play this server a lot. I met a lot of people, but one of the main reasons was due to the fact I joined Shock around 2-3 days after joining the server. Couldn't get it the first day, since I didn't understand faces and the Advanced Firing Line formation. I met so many people during that time, and I eventually donated to the server and joined Royal Guard, and the Death Troopers as callsign LF2 while AX1 was only a Colonel. I met a very kind and shy individual at that time, that for the purpose of privacy and my own happiness, I'll refer to as John. John didn't express too much emotion at first, and while I didn't know why at first, I realized that he was a really great guy. For everyone reading, John had one week prior to me meeting him, recovered from Stage 3 Cancer. I legit loved John as a friend, and considered him my closest friend for weeks. He was such a great person. This next part is quite emotional, and I'm crying while writing this. If you don't believe me; your opinion is your own, and I cannot affect it. A couple months after his recovery, the cancer came back, and a week later I was told by his brother that John had passed away. For reference, this is an individual who I had video and chat called over 500 times, and I spoke to him every day for 4 months. We had gotten distant, and the day before I was told this I DM'ed John asking if he wanted to play some VALORANT. Please, don't take your friendships for granted even if they are just on some storm trooper server. This may not apply to the server that much, but this is showing how affectful this server has been on my life. Gaminglight affected my life more than some of my family has. It developed from a server, to a friendship, to a sadness, and to a realization that I took friendship for granted. For new users, I 100% recommend coming to Gaminglight. There's so many interesting individuals in this community, and I would love to help you out if you need it. If you don't believe any of this, please just leave the post and don't interact with it. I didn't share this for attention, or any other motive besides doing what I believe John would want. I will not be releasing any sort of public information about him, his discord or steam name. I hope this can bring you all to a personal level of me, and I love meeting all of you. In summary, this is the pinnacle of communities. Dedicated management, staff, amazing owner, and thousands of opportunities and daily events are hosted. I barely meet any minges, and every individual has been kind to me as I was kind to them. I've learned so much about life, and just socializing as before this community I was heavily anti-social due to my mental conditions, and I slowly learned to interact with others casually and start conversation without a problem. If you need someone to talk to, roads#0001 Everyone, have an absolutely amazing life. It could be a bias report because he may hold a grudge towards CI for placing him on a DNT. We don't know what islandtoads is thinking, but thinking of how petty this report is, this could be the case. As for the report itself, it does not make sense for an infiltrator to just stare at E4s like you're following or spectating as an infiltrator, let alone a staff member. Call me a hypocrite if you want since I usually just b-hop around town when I do get on the server occasionally, but if I can at least I make the effort to communicate to them that I am just f**king about, I think you can too.

Well lads, I know this maybe hard for all the mates whom I have known since I first joined maintenance mates, so here's what I got to say I am gonna have to resign from my place due to inactivity because of work. Due to my new job I had to get and just constantly working and barely having enough time to be around with working all night (2200 CST till 0600 CST) I can't even hop on the server, so I will try again in the future once things has settled down, I will return. I WILL PROMISE THAT! But till then lads, Its been a pleasure being apart of the crew. Even Tho this may come up to people as a Surprise i have being in SF for quite a while, I remember my self as a normal cadet trained by my friend brand and me still getting 2 strikes and he letting me go off with like a pat on the back, Do i love SF with my heart, and in this community i love you guys like everything and i will continue playing for this server, just in another way, SMT i love you guys, EVEN THO YOU KILLED ME ALL THE TIME. [Begin Testing log 330] [Objective] To discern the properties of the anomalous candies post mortem and to determine if they retain any of their former properties. [Result] Partial success. Outside criteria hindered a full examination. [Overview] A new D-Class was taken from their cell to the testing chamber of SCP-330 where as per regulation he consumed one candy and after taking a second one his hands detached from his arms at the wrist. He died of blood loss shortly after and no actions were taken to prevent this. Shortly after his body was transported to Medbay for a post-mortem dissection. The body is loaded onto the surgical bed for dissection. Note the MTF Nu-7 who would later become infected. Since the only medical personnel present was not confident in their abilities the MTF opted to do the surgery in their place. He began by cutting open the chest to remove and inspect their intestinal tracts but saw no damages. When he moved onto the stomach he found the candy to be partially digested and upon trying to place it in a bag for later examination discovered it was highly acidic. Whether this was due to anomalous properties, a flaw in his equipment or an above average stomach acidity the result was that it began to corrode his gloves which he had to remove. Upon removal of the glove however an infection was found. It is unknown if the digested candy of SCP-330 caused it or if some other anomaly did so it will remain in the test log. [Incident Log 330/BHZ/3] Once the infection was exposed to air and the acids it began to rapidly spread up their left arm as it began to blister. An amputation was attempted but it was done slowly and did not stop the spread. Whilst attention was then diverted to preventing the MTF's immediate depletion of blood the infection began to swell and burst covering both parties in infectious matter whilst I observed from behind a screen. Luckily it did not breach the clothing of the Medic so it was removed without incident. RM Billy begins to inspect the infected MTF after having cleaned himself. The corpse was knocked to the floor in the commotion. At this point the infection once again underwent metamorphosis as it hardened, causing the MTF to fall into Cardiac Arrest. Luckily quick work from Medic Billy was able to stabilise his condition however. After this he tried to remove the hardened material for inspection but had to resort to electronic tools due to its toughness. Upon removing and inspecting it he began to remove all traces from the MTF in an attempt to cure him. As he worked it began to become less bonded and eventually it was all removed and the distressed patient woke up. However before questioning as to the origin of the infection could occur the room was sieged by an instance of what was later described as "Tango 12". It shot down the newly conscious MTF and badly wounding the medic before making its way onwards. I was also slightly wounded however the glass lessened the impact. The remnants of the infection stopped the MTF from immediately dying however due to the severity of his wounds they died shortly after from organ failure. [Conclusion] Further testing must be done to determine if the infection was correlated to handling the digested SCP-330A candy or if it was unrelated. The candy did not vanish after consumption meaning the anomaly is capable of creating matter, not simply just recycling it. This is Junior Researcher Arbiter signing off.

+/- I feel like having a speed class could be fun for CI but, it should not be dead shot as its meant to reward people with head shots and will make the class even harder to play with the revolver. In my opinion it seems like the only way to play this class would be to buy a weapon from the armory. I think the speed boost will make the class unusable with the revolver. I also think the stim pistol maybe abused and not just heal E4 but I would like to see it in action as I could (and hopefully) be wrong. Other than those two things this branch update seems great.

"Although it was my fault for letting my homework get in my way" This statement just disappoints me, please put academics and your actual life ahead of Garry's Mod. Honestly man some people need to relax. 4 month staff restriction for dealing with real life first. I believe the removal for staff was deserved. He has already served 3/4 months of his staff restriction.

So most of you know me as this really mellow individual who never get's mad or does anything too exciting that wasn't the case years ago. I was a loud trolly make people angry type of dude. We also made videos an this was our first one. At the end we make someone rage pretty hard and that's kind of our forte. The group was "Ass Beating Cops" and we grew to around 400 members and the steam group is up today but is inactive. One of our greatest haters Comboy112 always throws fits so we made a video on him depicting him as a bunch of rabid animals that we hunted to extinction observe. This last video we rdm an ex admin Becky who went out of her way to try to Ban all of us including me.

Firstly I would bring player to a roof as not to disrupt RP further, I would ask if he knew what he what he was doing was against the rules and as I hear what he says I would look in logs to check for the amount of people he ARDM/RDM'd, if he started abusing me and disrespecting me I would ask him to stop and if he doesn't stop I would then proceed to gag and mute him and proceed to give him a Formal Warning for Mass RDM and a 5 Day Ban as the staff handbook says. I would not interact with the person I believe is a alt account, I would try to contact SMT if one is on via teamspeak if not I would go into the staff discord and make a requesting SMT request, lastly I would then report to a JMT member about this. -What would you do if a player is threating to chargeback? I would gather evidence of the player threatening to charge back and report to higher ups about this situation -A family is mass minging and causing issues, how would you stop the family from minging? I would bring the family onto one of the bigger roofs(I.E spawn roof) and tell them that the amount of minging and issues they are causing are going overboard and that they either need to chill out or stop altogether as its ruining the Role play of others and if they continued they would receive formal warns and or jail sentences relative to the rules they've broken. -How would you deal with a situation you don't know what to/don't know the answer to? (Don't answer with "I know everything!") I would ask my fellow staff members in either staff chat or in teamspeak if one of them is in TS regarding any issues that might come up that I don't know how to respond to or handle, later I would ask a higher ranking staff member or a JMT member if there was something that I could of done better/if I could improve on for future reference.
