What is your in-game name?: 1stSavagerY What is your steam name?: 1stSavagerY What is your steam ID?: STEAM_0:0:106502723 What is your discord username (Ex: Rookieblue#2667): 1stSavagerY#5821 Do you have any other experience with staffing?: (If yes, explain) I was a moderator on a TTT server on CSGO for over a year and I have been staff in GamingLight for 9 months What date did you start playing on the community? (roughly) Around July of 2021 What date did you make your forums account? July 20, 2021 How many warnings do you have on all GL servers? None What is your donor rank? (User, Silver, Gold, etc) Platinum Are you a staff member in another community? No Have you read the staff handbook? Yes Timezone: EST What rank are you applying for? Senior Admin Why do you believe that you deserve the rank? (150 Word Minimum) Having been a member of the community for well over a year now,, I have spent countless hours dedicating myself towards the server. I have previous experience with staffing on other servers on CSGO, and my time being staff on GL has added to my experience with almost two years of being staff on both DEFY (the CSGO community I staffed on for over a year) and GamingLight, and I'm constantly looking to improve on myself to make sure I'm doing the best I can. Because of my experience, with over three-thousand completed sits, many other staff members come to me whenever they are dealing with a tricky situation or need help with a sit. And although I have made a few mistakes in the past, I believe that my overall experience and dedication to GL would make me a perfect fit for a Senior Admin position, allowing me to do more to help the community more and give back to it for allowing me to make so many amazing memories. Scenario questions: Select any two of the following four questions to answer for this section. Please note, in the scenario questions we are not expecting perfect answers. We are accessing your critical thinking skills, your ability to use the staff handbook, and come to reasonable conclusions. Q1: How would you handle someone that is Mass RDMing and when you bring him/her to an admin sit all they do is curse at you? This has happened to me a couple times in the past, and I have found that the best course of action is to try to calm them down, and if that fails then gag them and politely explain the situation and what the consequences of what they did, checking logs to see how many people they RDM'ed and give them a warn and ban them for the time listed in the handbook (5 days). Q2: You are involved in a staff sit that involves 5 different players. The players begin to get frustrated and the sit becomes very toxic and unproductive. What would you do in this situation? The best way to handle situations like these is to split up the individuals involved, moving them to different areas of the sit room. If together, most people typically keep yelling at each other. After separating them, I would then gather evidence and have everyone explain to me individually what happened. After gathering all the evidence required, I would submit a verdict that follows the staff handbook and use my own discretion, either giving a verbal or formal warning, or a ban and a formal warn should the evidence given point to it. Q3: In your opinion, what is the best way to handle a situation involving a player that clearly does not care about the punishments they are receiving? I have noticed the best way to deal with these situations is to simply give them a formal warning and continue watching them to make sure they aren't blatantly minging and trying to ruin the RP of the other players on the server. Even though I would be spending less time on the server actually RPing, it would help others as their RP would be able to be continued unabated. Q4: There is a player abusing a known bug, and he has been reported to staff. He swears he followed the server rules when you talk with him. What's the best way to handle this? I would politely explain to the individual that exploiting a known bug would fall under both "Common Sense" and "Exploiting" rules, both stated in the MOTD. Because exploiting is a more serious case, I would give them a formal warning and let them know that if caught again, it could result in more warnings and a possible ban. I would also give him the opportunity to appeal his warn should he want to, and if requested link the individual to the forums where they can submit a warn/ban appeal.

Maintenance should be able to spawn props (SCP RP) - Denied
1stSavagerY replied to Buenardo's topic in Denied
I think this was suggested in the past, but i cant remember the reason it was denied if that is a case, but it would be a nice addition if possible +support -
changing my -/+ support to -support due to these reasons and what th3 has said above
-
+/- support leaning towards -support Although the first option would work in theory, I feel that it would just cause problems of using the swep before getting three ears, or just flagging up randomly in the case of no 2. in my opinion it would just be better to keep it as it is because it requires and admin to make sure 1048 fulfilled all of its self-breaching goals like all the other SCP’s. keeping it as it is much easier and more convenient to moderate
-
i'd like to hear th3's side of the story before commenting further, however leaning towards -support as i dont see how it affects rp that much, though i do understand that it would be extremely frustrating if you are trying to escape as d class

Would be super easy to implement I would think too, all it would require is some sort of stamina system. Also not everyone is a pro at gmod, everyone should be able to have an enjoyable time in the PVP aspect of this server, not just a select few classes. Adding a stamina system would significantly balance out gunplay in this server as people wouldn't be able to glitch out their hitboxes with jump-crouching while full sprinting around corners. Saying it's a "skill issue" is the main reason we have this problem in the first place, as it's literally just an excuse blame it on the individual player for not being a gmod pvp god instead of the combat system, which is a horrible outlook on the situation. If we're just able to chalk it up to a "skill difference," then it just enables those few select classes to do whatever they want while newer players or players who just want to play casually just get screwed over time and time again. We shouldn't be only catering towards those few classes, we should be catering to ALL players and especially newer players as that's how a server grows and prospers. I’ve crouch spammed and I do it in pvp occasionally when my opponent is doing it, but it’s just generally not fun for all parties involved; and when I observe others doing it, all it results in is one party shit talking the other, which is another problem entirely but strange how it’s almost only those people involved that do it. Adding some kind of stamina system to prevent this from happening would be a huge step towards fixing the combat on the server; in fact, it would fix most of it. It would also make PVP more interesting as PvP on the server has been stagnant for quite a while, a new system would do wonders to change it up a bit. Saying otherwise is pretty much the same as saying you want the servers combat system to stay stagnant, which is beneficial to literally no one. HUGE +SUPPORT
