  1. More so teens, as according to GMOD's TOS you have to be at least 13, rather than small children is what I meant. I would disagree that a porn link is better than the the stock stuff on our server, considering that it constitutes "obscene" through GMOD's TOS as well.
  2. The cloak should be making a return soon.
  3. Having a link to a porn site in your name is not allowed on this server at all. A different player called our attention to your name and made a complaint, another admin made contact with you and had you change your name. Regardless of you complying with that admin, having a porn link in your name, on a game made for kids, isn't tolerated.
  4. Accepted Thank you for the report. This player will receive a warning and permanent ban for their conduct.
  5. Should I include that GENSEC can sprint as well? Honestly I don't see a need for this addition.
  6. The jail is an automatically set timer that would've went away upon your jail sentence expiring. So despite not returning to the server after disconnecting from the server, leaving prior to your jail time expiring is indeed LTAP. @Rabbit Please respond to this when you're able.
  7. 049 is currently able to sprint, there are no rules barring him from doing so.

    Ban appeal

Bruh, your ban was reduced from a permanent to a two week ban and you're seriously asking for more?
  9. That's so much work, ughhh
  10. This particular report has a variety of issues that need to be addressed and dealt with to ensure there are no misunderstandings moving forward. 1) MOTD vs SOP The MOTD is the law of the land, so to speak. No branch SOP can trump was is stated in the MOTD, as such, the standing rule at the time of this incident was "You may not shoot/interfere with Chaos Insurgency/D-Class that are outside the foundation unless it is on Defcon 3 or lower, and Epsilon-11 has been called. You are to act as if you were not there." In this instance, it was DEFCON 4, meaning that E-11 should not engage with CI personnel in RP situations at all. The relevant portions of the E-11 SOP state "Do not enter the facility until it is Defcon 3! The only other time you are allowed to enter is if you were requested to enter by onsite command" and "You are not to shoot or interfere with Chaos Insurgency/D class outside the foundation unless it is Defcon 3 or lower, or Epsilon-11 has been called for assistance". The first quoted portion conflicts with the MOTD and is invalid. The second quoted portion applies to this specific situation, and again, conflicts with the MOTD and is invalid. 2) Acting in RP and Out of RP You can not have a situation where you're walking around "out of RP" see something happen and suddenly decide to "hop in RP". There is no either or. An example of this is the protection extended to GENSEC Trainers and Trainees (among other branches). GENSEC Trainers are protected from being attacked by D-Class, SCPs, and CI, as they are outside of RP training new personnel. In that same vain however, Trainers are also barred from engaging D-Class, SCPs, and CI, as they should not be attacking other people and abusing their protection. As such, according to the MOTD, this E-11 operative was outside of RP while walking with the DOC despite being requested to escort him, as that request conflicts with the MOTD, and is prohibited from engaging CI personnel. As such, my final decision in this is as follows: Given the various factors involved in this report, such as confusion between MOTD vs SOP supremacy, the E-11 being requested to guard the DOC, and the clear directive of the MOTD, I will not be issuing a warning or taking enforcement action against the player in question. HOWEVER, this decision servers as a notice to all branches, reinforced by my personal conversations with each branch's command yesterday, that that MOTD is the law of the land. Any further actions that violate the MOTD, even if in compliance with branch SOPs, will result in warnings or other sanctions. Additionally, E-11 Command is directed to ensure their SOP is in compliance with the MOTD, or go through proper channels to suggest edits to the MOTD.
  11. Accepted Thank you for the report. After reviewing the evidence of this report I issued this player a warning for mass racism and issued a permanent ban. I then received further information that why I was warning and banning this player, he was engaging in Mass RDM among other offenses. These additional offenses have been documented in a second warning, but he is already permanently banned from the server.
  12. Keep the discussion on topic to providing +/- Supports based on the evidence provided. Leave rule interpretations to the SMT staff please and avoid arguments.

    Ban Appeal

Comrade issued the warning and requested the ban, he will be providing his information shortly.
  16. I'll give this appeal another day to follow the format and provide the information we need to process it, otherwise it will be denied.
  17. Accepted Thank you for the report. This player has received a warning for evading a job blacklist, as well as a one month ban from the server. If this player attempts to evade the blacklist further actions will be taken. As a note, the Security Trainee Niko account was found not to be an alt of this player.
  18. CI has an armory, so this suggestion is now moot.
  19. In addition SCPs breaking out of the Foundation all the time would further disrupt the Research branch's ability to conduct tests, further reducing their activity and ability to be productive.
  20. I believe this has been actioned with the new map update, as we've already added a bunch of new props and office type stuff.
  21. This would constitute puppy guarding a player's spawn, which is already prohibited. Additionally, this could constitute metagaming unless a MTF member or other Foundation member happened to be in the area when the breach began to report it.
  22. Yep, you got us. The entire SMT team is lazy, but especially Igneous, the server manager that has literally hundreds of things he's in charge of. As the newest SMT member of SCP, I can 100% say that Igneous does an incredible amount of work that the general player base has absolutely no idea about. And no, no where in my post did I say anyone was lazy, I simply said that it doesn't make sense to type out the same messages over and over and over again. That's a legitimate idea, however you also have to take into account that these suggestions aren't carbon copies of each other. They may have small differences that would make the text files impracticable, leading to the same issue. Additionally, the forum has a bind that automatically includes the default message when a suggestion is approved or denied, and automatically locks and moves the post to the correct location. To add in reasoning Igneous has to go back and manually edit the post to include the reasoning, or post a message before taking appropriate action. Either way, this takes time and effort which usually doesn't result in much net positives. Ah yes, typing a sentence with spelling and grammar errors, very professional. Most decisions are the result of a single sentence worth of decisions, more likely a paragraph or more. I don't know what you're talking about that there's one or two that get denied per week. How about checking the active suggestions page, because I see 22 active suggestions on the first page, of three total pages, with a total of 49 pending suggestions that require processing. Now, you suggest putting up to two hours of effort responding to each suggestion. That would result in 198 hours of manpower that Igneous would have to put in at max using your metrics. That's more than I work at my full time job in a week, and I actually get paid for my full time job, unlike Igneous, who volunteers for this community and is not compensated. You are right in the fact that having some communication between players and the administration staff is important, and we provide that communication in the suggestions that have merit but end up being denied through Igneous' comments, through the SCP Update posts, and through the RP Command meetings between SMT staff and the various RP command members. Additionally, in other areas, such as discipline, I do take the time to lay out my reasoning behind why I issue/uphold/revoke various punishments on the server or forums, because I have significantly more free time to be able to do so. Unlike Igneous who has the entire server and the accompanying duties to uphold, in addition to his real life responsibilities, I'm only tasked with running the Forum Diplomat Corps, updating the SCP MOTD, and processing the vast majority of warn/ban appeals. So I have the time to spend laying out my reasoning in each different case.
