Why should we add it? - You should add it because it would make R.I.G. Units completely perfect for research escorts once they have the ability to assist in cross-testing. It is a very small change that would not cause any problems, as it would only mainly be used to transfer SCPs for cross-tests. It would also make it so that Researchers would not have to request an MTF so that they can utilize their tranquilizers. They could simply ask their R.I.G. Unit, and the Unit could tranquilize the SCP in question. What are the advantages of having this? - R.I.G. Units that are escorting Researchers can use the tranquilizer to transport an SCP to a different holding cell for a cross test. THE TRANQS ARE SPECIFICALLY FOR TRANSPORTING SCPS FOR CROSS TESTING. Guidelines can be put in place that will make it so that RIG units cannot tranq for combat otherwise they will be disciplined. The RIG unit is under a lot of layers of applications and requirements before you can actually play it, so I trust the people who have access to it know how to use it. +/- Support, I'm unsure. This should only be used to transport SCPs between tests. Nothing else. Retired DoTF Daedran Posted May 5, 2020 Share Posted May 5, 2020 -Support While I understand that there are some good intentions behind doing this, I cannot support this notion due to the fact that Mobile Task Forces are supposed to be utilized for the transport of Keter Class SCP's, along with the containment of previously mentioned. I get that it may seem as if there is some sort of benefit to be had from doing this due to not being reliant on MTF personnel for a tranquilizer, but there isn't. It takes away RP scenario's from MTF personnel who are tasked and assigned to SCP's, and being as how MTF personnel are REQUIRED to be present during the duration of a cross-test anyways, there seems to be no point to this. MTF Nu-7 is a Task Force that is mainly going to be affected by this if it were to be implemented, so unless you feel as if research personnel lacking combat experience can contest against a rogue SCP-682 in the event that something goes south, I would advise that you continue to utilize them as much as you are able, being as how they put their lives on the line for you and dangerous cross-tests, it's what they signed up for. Igneous Posted May 12, 2020 Share Posted May 12, 2020 Denied. The SCP-RP SMT has decided against adding this suggestion for performance reasons, the benefit to the server, or another unstated reason.
