To add to this as I already said. Just because a call about it is not made it does not mean it isn't happening. People RDM all the time and others don't make a call. It is out job as staff to be around to see that and do something about it.

+ Support Staff's job isn't just taking sits. I as staff really take sits what I do the most is fly around and catch people in the act. Just because there isn't a call about it does not mean it isn't happening. I also think the staff ratio is 1 staff till it gets to 20 players and then it flips to once it gets to 40 2 go on. If you are using the excuse of "oh there are only 19 people on" then that is a shame on you as a staff member and as someone representing GamingLight. Sad to see 2 Admins on and none took the step forward to set an example. People earn their ranks but once they get to it they feel entitled. He just got on the server and that is why he is making the report. Sad to see this as a response from an Admin.

I did... the rest does not matter. Whether giving him a warning will make him "learn" or not does not matter. If Vizz thinks that a harder punishment should have been given then why can't he make a report and let SMT decide? The punishments being given in-game is up to staff discretion and you did nothing wrong with giving him a verbal warning. Viz just thinks a little more should be done so he made the report. You are kind of taking this as if it was a report on you or your staff actions. That tells me two things 1. you are not sure that a verbal was the right call (which it was) 2. you know the person in question and you are trying to defend them because they are your friend, making your ingame decision a biast one. idk just how I see it. You did nothing wrong with giving him a verbal and honestly I think I might have done the same. Just viz thinks that the rules broken are worthy of more than a verbal and that is fine that is why we have reports for.

You handled it in-game and that is fine but viz thinks it is worth more of a punishment than just a verbal warning so he made the report. This will most likely get denied with the reason "it was dealt with in-game" but I still think that if someone does not believe the punishment is right, they can make a report to get another opinion and another look at it.

As a player perspective, I have been playing GamingLight PoliceRP for what is now more than a year, I have been playing since March 2017 that is a while back. From day 1 I took it upon myself to read and understand the rules and I made it a goal of mine to not receive a single warning. One and a half years later here I am with a perfectly clean record. The reason I believe I deserve this rank is because I have dedicated time to this community from day one. When I joined I knew that I wanted to become staff, therefore, I made it a goal of mine to make sure I knew the rules better than my name. I make sure that everything I do has a reason do has a reason to it and make sure that I do not do anything that I think might be in the slightest against the rules. As a member of the community, I love to make friends andI in no way ever try to start drama. I like to say I have a good standing here with the members of GamingLight. I try to be nice to everyone and give everyone the same amount of respect I would expect from them. I respect everyone from the new player who just joined the community to the owner himself. Just because someone has a title in their name does not make them more superior in my eyes, everyone has the chance of being treated like they deserve and I strive and live by that. As a Staff member, I strive to be the best staff member I could possibly be. I have yet to receive a report on me, the one and only report on me made was deleted by the person who made it a few minutes later when I showed I had a recording of the whole thing and cough him lying. I strive to be the staff member who gets along with everyone and who everyone likes but at the same time the staff member that no matter who you are if you break a rule and I see you, you will be punished. I do not mean to sound harsh in no way I am just unbiased in any and all situations. A good example of this is the report onDurmax, I love Durmax and I think he is a great guy but when it came down to looking at the evidence and having a clean unbiased opinion I was able to do it, unlike some other members. When I bring someone into a sit I treat them with the most respect and I make sure that I always hear their side of the story. I give everyone a fair chance to explain themselves and always give everyone the benefit of the doubt. The reason I have yet to get a report on me is that as much as I know the MOTD I know the Staff Handbook as well. I follow every rule to the dot and make sure that every single warning I ever give is recorded and that I have more than enough evidence to warn the player. If I am ever in doubt I do not warn the player, instead, I ask for someone's help no matter the situation. I try to make sure that all warnings and bans I issue had a valid reason. I have come a long way here in GamingLight as a Staff member and I hope to go on longer. I strive to be the best Staff member I can be and will always be there for others. How would you handle someone that is Mass RDMing and when you bring him/her to an admin sit all they do is curse at you? With my time as staff here in GamingLight I have realized that every case is different. What applies to one case does not apply to the next and you must look at everything from an outside perspective. If I bring someone into a sit after they have mass RDMed and then they start to yell at me and starts to curse me out I know that this player has no intention of actually roleplaying in our server. I would let the player finish, afterwards, I would explain the situation and tell him/her that they are being warned and minged. I will give a warning for Mass RDM and a minge as I see fit to the situation. I would spectate the player after the minge is done and see if the punishment has made them re-think their actions and if they continue then I will issue a Ban. At this point I know this player has no intention of roleplaying and getting rid of him and banning him is the best result for the community.

It's hard when you are on the phone and the sun is hitting the screen. You also have to force your vision a lot more and that is not good for the eyes. It's a simple change that can help out a lot

not a bad idea as long as you are willing to do it free of charge and then sign a contract that hands full 100% ownership of the app to "Gaminglight" This is the only way I could see this turning out good, as it can cause legal issues in the future for example if you get banned or if some altercation is to happen. This would have to be set up and with permission of Zep himself and with a lot of signed documents to state each role and what everyone gets out of this. Whether it is that you do it for free or get paid or do it for some sort of exchange it would all have to be documented. That being said you must also be 18+ so that you could sign the paperwork otherwise your parents would have to get involved and that is a mess on it'self

look at the player report "Durmax King" this is the reason this is a thing. People quoted a -support that stated he had no gun over and over and over and even after it being proved otherwise. People are just hitting quote and not reading for themselves. Just look at the report you will bang your head against the table. ik this will be denied but I tried. I tried to make the community better and let everyone have a voice rather than people just quoting others and being followers instead of leaders. The sad part about it is when they quote obvious incorrect information and just show how they did not even bother to take a look at the report or whatever it is being posted.

Why does it matter how it was recorded? Durmax at that time did not know if he was being recorded or not so his genuine RP reaction was to break the rule and failure to value is life. Just because it was good or bad timing depending on how you look at it. Even if he was targeted that does not excuse someone from breaking a rule. The reason to put him at gunpoint was there I took a SC for god sake. It is like saying that when an officer goes undercover and catches a criminal he can't charge him because he was "targeted" & let's just say he was, just saying, if Duramax would have not broken a rule then we would have not been here. The point is that he broke a rule and just like any player he should be warned. Even if he is a Mod, well known or whoever he is. He is not above the rest of us. It is sad to see how someone with connections can get away with doing blain rule breaks because his friends think is ok. If this report was on someone else this thread would be filled with huge ass green + support sings everywhere. But because it is someone people know they -support , even staff.

That is just a speculation. But would you say that this excuses someone to break a rule? I mean regardless of being targeted or not he still broke the a rule, and there was no way for him to know if it was a set up or not. Being targeted is not a problem if you don't break the rules. If you do what you are supposed to do you will be fine being ? or not. I go back to my question. Does it excuse someone from rules just because "they are being targeted"? With or without him knowing?
