10. Why do you want to become a senior command member? (150 WORDS+): I wish to become senior command because of my undying devotion to this branch and I know that I can bring many things to the table in order to improve the branch for everyone. Currently, in addition to my roles as a captain, I fill the role of Head of PTs and Off-Meetings (HOPO) as well as being the current Head of Wardens. I have dedicated so much time to Wardens as a sub-branch and as a result, it is currently a very strong sub-branch and is a very desired sub-branch for our enlisted. As Head of Wardens, I have gained valuable experience in managing members, promoting daily activity, and incentivizing well performing members. I believe that I can utilize this experience in helping to shape Security as a whole and developing all those that may come into contact with our branch. I am able to dedicate 4-5 hours a day during the week to helping support Security activity and even up to 11+ hours a day during the weekends. I will bring to the table a level of relatability and connection to our enlisted that is pretty unprecedented to CMD. I pride myself on maintaining good relations with our NCOs and enlisted and will be able to leverage this in my new position if I were to get SCMD. I truly believe in the future of Security and want to be a part of building this branch to keep it going strong and make sure it is well respected throughout the Foundation. I understand that people may feel nervous speaking to command and plan on using my position as a touchpoint for our Enlisted and NCOs in order to maintain open and honest communication throughout the branch so that it can be a welcoming place for everyone. We are all searching for a relaxing place to spend our time when we aren’t busy and I want to ensure our branch stays a welcoming place for all. I truly believe that with a position in SCMD, I can support not only our lower enlisted but our HCMD+ as well to ensure that everyone is enjoying their time on Gaminglight. Through my experience as HOPO and Head of Wardens, I believe that I can easily shoulder the responsibility of SCMD and excel in my new position. If I am chosen for this position, I am absolutely positive that I will be able to leverage and benefit every level of command and the Security branch as a whole. My own personal purpose in command is to mentor all of those I come into contact with and help develop them as people not only in game but in their day-to-day lives. Every day, I strive to leave a lasting and beneficial impression on all of those who come into contact with me and feel that that trait is key to being a good Senior Command member. In conclusion, I thank all those who have helped me get to this point through their encouragement and you for reading this application in its entirety. Regardless of whether I am selected or not, I look forward to continuing to improve and support this branch. Thank you very much for your time and consideration.
11. What would you do if a Security Officer was constantly leaving D Block?: I would bring them to an area away from any hectic environments and explain that as Security, our main goal is the securement of D-Block. I would also ask if there is anything that they may need that would allow them to continue their duties in D-Block whether that be health, armor, better weaponry, or patrols whenever D-Block is calm and allowing in order to keep them engaged. If they refuse to comply with our standards as Security professionals, I would retrain them and mentor them on what we need to see from them as members of Security. If they still refuse, I would look towards disciplinary actions so that they do not negatively affect other members of Security.
12. What would you do if an NCO kept on leaving d-block with terrible reasons?: I would pull this member aside and reinforce why they were selected for this position and explain that we need them to be an example for lower enlisted. I would also inquire as to why they were feeling the need to remain out of d-block and if it is due to them being miserable just standing around, I would work with this member to have them conduct patrols with lower enlisted to allow all those involved to “stretch their legs” a little bit, D-Block permitting. If they continue to refuse, I would look towards disciplinary actions whether that be verbal warnings or strikes because we look to these members as leaders of the enlisted and they need to be able to be depended on.
13. What do you do if an E-11 private comes into D-Block and attempts to take command of all of the security?: I would begin gathering evidence of their actions with the “Medal” clipping software and then I would explain to them that if they wish to have Security assistance, they need to come to Security command first rather than attempting to hijack the Security members. I would also explain the situation to other Security Command utilizing the evidence I gathered so that all appropriate parties would be aware of the situation. I would also send it to E-11 command so that they could decide how they want to go about handling this member’s actions. My priority would be maintaining control of the Security members under me and ensuring that the situation doesn’t put unneeded stress and worry on them.
14. Explain the process of promoting a corporal to sergeant in your own words: First and foremost, I always go over the NCO guide and Patrolling/Stationing guide with those who were promoted to SGT, ensuring they understand that they can now station enlisted and take enlisted on patrols with them as it relates to LCZ/HCZ. I would then explain to them about their expanded capabilities when it comes to calling protocols on the respective codes and make sure that they have their binds set up and fully ready to utilize in the event of a D-Block riot after the training. After that, I explain that they can now join FTO, Sniper, and apply for WO. I particularly focus on FTO and help them to consider joining the sub-branch as that is the future for our branch and thus, I find it very important that we get as many FTOs as possible. After ensuring they receive the NCO tags in Discord, I inform them of the activity logs page and help them to understand everything that they need to include when making their logs, making sure to include members on CCs. Lastly, I ask if they have any further questions and let them know that if they ever do have questions, to please bring them up with myself or other command as we are there to help and assist them.
