As I am sure you can probably guess by the title, it is my time to resign. I joined this server 1 1/2 years ago with Bucket back on Site 50 and that map will always hold a very special place in my heart. We were originally just looking for some servers to fuck around on and we were intrigued by the SCP universe, so we went hunting for some SCP RP server. After some failed attempts, we stumbled across Gaminglight and felt welcomed by the Security FTOs at the time. We had no intentions of sticking around and was just going to play the server while partaking in some alcoholic beverages. Fast forward to today and here we are, sitting as the top-ranking members of Security. Rising through the ranks, making it into Wardens command, Security command, HOPO, then Security HCMD was truly a joy and I will cherish those good memories in the retirement home. Back in March, I had to move myself and my family overseas as I was being stationed abroad by the military. This timezone change, unfortunately, heavily impacted my ability to show face on the server and be present throughout the day for my Security personnel. I have been doing my best to balance everything for Security and the friends I have made along the way, but it is getting hard and I hate the feeling of taking up a spot when it can be better filled by someone else who is more available than me. I want to thank you all for making this a place I was able to go to in order to chill out at the end of a long day and for the friends I made along the way. I will definitely hop on from time to time in order to check out the updates to the server and have some fun with you all. I was always dedicated to this server and my Security personnel, and I hope that I contributed to this server in a meaningful way. Below, I will leave some special mentions in no particular order. Bucket - My buddy who I kicked this adventure off with. I can truly see the care that you have for this branch and I feel my position would be better utilized by you (and who doesn't love a promotion?). You give your all to the Security branch and I know it gets hard at times with various bs that may arise, but your motivation and effort is noticed. Please take care of my Security personnel for me and take care of the branch. I am a bit jealous that you will be able to hit SA first, but I know that you will do amazing in that position. TF2 when? Zboz - The guy who I met through the server but quickly became a good friend. You never hesitated to set me straight if I got a bit out of line and wasn't being the best I could be. I remember running through the Warden ranks with you and running Legion X together was by far one of the best times I had on this server. I will be joining you in the crusty retirement home here soon. Drizzle - Great dude man, great dude. For the love of all that is holy, please get more active so you can secure the LCZ manager spot. I can see that you care for your branches whenever you're on. Please get more active :)) Piller - Even though you were way above our ranks, you always made us as Security CMD feel appreciated and always made me laugh whenever we did some funny business with 610. Ruby is a dear and I truly hope that life is going well for you guys. Weiss - By far one of the most mysterious people on this server, you always made things fun even without talking a whole bunch. Keep up the good work. Cryptonus - I know we always give you shit but you are a cool dude. Please get more active though, your people need you. Best of luck with your job. We all did, from my perspective, extremely well at handling whatever came to us, and I thank you all for working well with me over the past few months. Within my time with the server, I have done my best to rule fairly when it comes to any position of "authority" that I have held, from leading as an NCO to leading the Security branch as a whole. I pride myself on being a respectful member of this community and do my best to treat all that I come across with respect and fairness. I had to move to South Korea for my job and see that there is a bit of a lack of staff members who are able to play when I am around. As such, I wish to fill this role to the best of my ability and help moderate this server. I know that I have a lot to learn when it comes to the staffing aspect of this server but I have no doubt that with some experience, I can handle any situation that is thrown at me. I wish to uphold a fair and honest reputation with my decisions if I do get picked for the position and will stand by that belief the entire way. I have been contemplating this application for some time now and I think I am now ready to join the staffing team if I am deemed fit for the position. Scenario questions: Q1: How would you handle someone that is Mass RDMing and when you bring him/her to an admin sit all they do is curse at you? First of all, I would listen to any GENUINE complaints or statements the person may have as it relates to the situation at hand. If they continue to be belligerent, I would then mute them and explain the situation as to why they are in a sit. I would then ask them to please stand by as I review any pertinent evidence that has been provided from the original sit maker. If the evidence is sufficient and does fit the guidelines for MRDM, I would then explain that they have been found to have committed mass RDM, explain the punishment, and ask if they have any questions. I would then call an Admin+ to enforce the required 5-day ban. Q2: You are involved in a staff sit that involves 5 different players. The players begin to get frustrated and the sit becomes very toxic and unproductive. What would you do in this situation? I would quickly determine the different sides to this situation and break the problem down into manageable pieces, likely through the !mute function and give each side time to explain their view on the scenario and get any pertinent evidence as it relates to the situation. Depending on the amount of people and severity of the situation, I would request additional staff for their assistance in managing the players or seek their advice if I do not feel capable of correctly handling the situation alone. My main goal would be to listen to make sure that every side or point of view is heard and for those in the wrong, explain why it was that they were in the wrong and help them understand how they can avoid this situation in the future. Of course, the rest of the sit would depend on the different variables at play but I would do my best to make sure that the sit is orderly and composed.

I, personally, do not care when the report closes. I hold my command members to a high standard, especially SCMD. These members should have been working with their branch to manage and mitigate the threat. Their actions very well could have kicked off a near unmanageable issue, directly impacting everyone's experience on the server. These members knew better and in my talks with them, know they messed up and should have acted in a better way. Thank you for your opinions on how I am managing my branch. Your feelings about how I run the branch don't seem to be similar to the feelings of current members of Gensec and they are the ones who I work for, not you.
