  1. Name: DakAttack Warden name: Fontus Rank: Major/Centurion. length of LOA: 07/27 to 08/09 reason: issues have been lasting much longer than I anticipated, so I need a little more time to handle things.
  2. Name: DakAttack steamid: STEAM_0:1:585904892 length: 6/25/23 - 7/22/23 Reason: need time by myself and for family
  3. What is your in-game name?: DakAttack What is your steam name?: [GL] WackDakAttack What is your steam ID?: STEAM_0:1:585904892 What is your discord username (Ex: Rookieblue#2667): DakAttack#1738 Do you have any other experience with staffing?: (If yes, explain): No. What date did you start playing on the community? (roughly) Mid June of 2022 What date did you make your forums account? July 10, 2022 How many warnings do you have on all GL servers? 2 (My Warns Profile) What is your donor rank? (User, Silver, Gold, etc): Platinum Are you a staff member in another community? No, GamingLight is the only community I'm a part of. Have you read the staff handbook? Yes Timezone: EST What rank are you applying for? Trial Moderator Why do you believe that you deserve the rank? (150 Word Minimum): I have been part of GamingLight for around a year now, give or take. In my time, I've seen the server change many times over, watched the community grow, shrink and grow again. I've been a member of Security since day one of joining the server, and I have loved it ever since. I have had my ups and downs. Recently I was kicked out of, and I believe blacklisted from Event Team for not using my powers properly. But I want to be a part of the moderation team to learn from those mistakes and make sure that things like that don't happen again. I like this server, and the whole point of the moderation team in my eyes is to ensure that it remains fun for everyone else. I think I have a fairly positive reputation in the community, but like I mentioned previously, I was removed from Event Team. But my main goal is to ensure that the integrity of the server is maintained, and that it remains fun for everybody. I think I should be a Trial Moderator because I believe I can help keep the server a positive place. I may not have any moderating experience, but I can most certainly learn. Scenario questions: Select any two of the following four questions to answer for this section. Please note, in the scenario questions we are not expecting perfect answers. We are accessing your critical thinking skills, your ability to use the staff handbook, and come to reasonable conclusions. Q1: How would you handle someone that is Mass RDMing and when you bring him/her to an admin sit all they do is curse at you? Let them speak their mind, first and foremost. It does nobody good to interrupt one another, that just leads to bad blood and things go nowhere. Once they've finished, I'd try to reasonably explain that their actions are harming the experience others are trying to have in the server (if it is proven that they've done the MRDM because innocent until proven guilty). If it comes to it and a ban is needed, I'd contact an Admin or higher. Q2: You are involved in a staff sit that involves 5 different players. The players begin to get frustrated and the sit becomes very toxic and unproductive. What would you do in this situation? It wouldn't hurt to ask other members of staff to handle other members of the sit separately. A toxic environment helps nobody, especially when you're trying to get things done in a timely manner. Q3: In your opinion, what is the best way to handle a situation involving a player that clearly does not care about the punishments they are receiving? Try my best to explain to them why what they're doing is wrong in a way that they can understand. Not everyone has a common understanding of things. But I would not let my emotions dictate the punishment. I am a judge, not an executioner. Q4: There is a player abusing a known bug, and he has been reported to staff. He swears he followed the server rules when you talk with him. What's the best way to handle this? There are several potential variables to consider here. Is there any evidence, what is this player's attitude, is this player a known minge or not, stuff like that. If evidence is provided, then I'd probably give a verbal, depending on how long this player has been a part of the server for. If they're a certain level, they should know the rules by this point, and it would be a formal warn instead of just a verbal warning.
  4. Name: DakAttack Rank: Captain Steam ID: STEAM_0:1:585904892 Discord ID: DakAttack#1738 Current Sub-Branches you're in: Every single one except Lightweight. Why should you retain your rank (Command ONLY | 100+ words): I believe I should retain my rank as command for my extended devotion to the branch. I was put on a forced LOA for about five months or so, then came back and have remained ever since. I reached head of Legion X twice and remain as such. I am a devoted member of the Exspira program, a recent addition to the FTO command ranks, and doing my part in cracking down on minging within our ranks. I have been, and always will be a devoted member of Security, and will see it through all the way until the end of this server's life. Keeping my rank means that I can help make this branch better one day at a time. Any Notes, Questions, or Concerns?: TFO should be able to view the recruitment menus.
  5. 1. Steam Name?: [GL] WackDakAttack 2. Steam ID?: STEAM_0:1:585904892 3. Roster Name?: DakAttack 4. Current Rank?: First Lieutenant (1LT) 5. When were you promoted?: Today, 27/05/2023 6. How long have you been a member of GENSEC (roughly)?: Eleven months, give or take. 7. Do you promise to uphold all rules instated by GamingLight and by the many Security guidelines?: Absolutely. 8. Do you promise to uphold your duties as a command member in leadership, mentoring, problem-solving, etc.?: Without a doubt. 9. Do you promise that you will listen and respect your lower / higher rankings?: Any member of Security, no matter how low ranking has a voice to be heard. 10. Why do you want to become a senior command member? (150 WORDS+): A little bit of backstory. I promise this is relevant. A lot of things have happened since I first joined Security nearly a year ago. I was a former disciple of Juggernaut, devoting tens, perhaps close to a hundred hours on that sub-branch. The good old days of Site-50. I was also stuck in Seargent Major hell for 306 days, partly due to the fact that I had my computer unlawfully pawned off. I went on a forced LOA for five months, just before which I had been promoted to the head of Legion X in our Wardens sub-branch. Several months passed before I returned, and I came back with a vengeance. It took a few months, but I eventually rose up and broke that curse, becoming a Warrant Officer. Now I sit proudly as First Lieutenant, and I have all of Security to thank for helping me get here. I am aware of the naysayers. I know there are some people who think that I don't even deserve to be in command due to my excessive LOA. But I had no control over that LOA. And when I came back, I devoted hours into Security. I've been recruiting our newest wave of Enlisted and been helping with cracking down on minging within our branch. I even rose back up to head of Legion X once again and was recently given the greenlight to join a particular elite force within our ranks. Suffice to say, I know my way around Security very, very well. Why do I want to be Senior Command? It's because I want to make a difference. I'm aware that using vulgar language in this application may turn some heads and rub people the wrong way, but I feel that it's the best way that I can express just how strongly I feel about this application. Security means a lot to me. I will never turn down an opportunity to help change it for the better and lift it off the ground. I believe I am skilled and well versed enough to take the next step forward. 11. What would you do if a Security Officer was constantly leaving D Block?: It entirely depends on context. If the Officer is leaving just to do whatever then I'd give them a warning. Remind them that Security is tasked in D-Block, and they should only be leaving for a good reason. If it continues, then there is a clear issue in behaviour, and a strike will be issued, followed by a removal. 12. What would you do if an NCO kept on leaving d-block with terrible reasons?: Reprimand them for the repeated behaviour. Depending on how many times this has happened, punishment can range anywhere from a simple verbal warning to a strike, and in worst case scenarios, a removal. But that latter one is unlikely. 13. What do you do if an E-11 private comes into D-Block and attempts to take command of all of the security?: Politely remind them that Security is not their branch to boss around, and if there is no reason for E-11 to be in D-Block then kindly ask them to leave. If they refuse and continue to cause issues, contact a member of E-11 Command and deal with the situation. 14. Explain the process of promoting a corporal to sergeant in your own words: I would drag them to a separate TeamSpeak channel and inform them that they have been promoted from Corporal to Sergeant. With being an NCO, you have a myriad of new responsibilities and duties. I'd give them the link to the NCO SOP and Patrol/Stationing guide and explain to them their new duties as an NCO. I would explain that all NCOs are required to have an account on the forums and them about the new sub-branches they can now join, including FTO and Sniper. Lastly, I would explain everything about making NCO activity logs, and make sure they understand what all comes with being a member of NCO, and they can apply for Command.
  6. In-Game Name: WackDakAttack Steam ID: STEAM_0:1:585904892 ULX Rank (Donator Rank/Staff Rank): Diamond How long have you been playing on the server: Since mid-June of 2022. Have you read the SCP-RP Event Team Guidelines: yes. How many warns do you have? (Screenshot): Only one (Forums won't let me send a screenshot, click the green text for the warn link thingy) Why do you want to join event team: I see all the cool events being held in the server, and I've had plenty of cool ideas in my head for a long time as well. I would love to be part of the team so I could bring some spice into the server and liven things up a bit so that peak hours aren't very bland. Why should you be trusted to be part of the Event Team: I've only gotten one warn during my time in the server, and I feel that I know the server rules well enough at this point since it's been nearly a year since I first joining SCPRP. I might be a little ambitious with some of my event ideas, but I think that being ambitious is much more favourable than having basic, unimaginative ideas that might not go over too well with the server. Are you familiar/experiences with ULX: No, but I am willing to learn how to use it properly. Describe an event you could create (Be specific): NOTE: this is from one of the entries I sent in #event-ideas on the SCPRP discord SCP-173 Learns Mitosis In a revised entry for SCP-173, the entity in question seemed to multiply and create second version of itself, and those were separated and given their own containment cells. Eventually there are 61 different instances of SCP-173, and the Foundation sends them to the moon or some shit. I wish to alter this. Here’s how the event will go: During a routine test involving SCP-173, the researcher, escorts, and D-Class will notice that there are two instances of SCP-173 in the containment chamber. Luckily, there are two Security members with the researcher, so they and the three D-Class are able to hold the two entities in place. Obviously, one of the Security guards calls for both GENSEC and MTF assistance over the Foundation Force comms. Security is quick to respond, but as MTF make their way through HCZ, the power goes out for all but a moment, and when it returns, there is now a third instance of 173. Only two members of Security have responded to the call so far, so one of the three instances ends up snapping the researcher’s neck. This sends all but one Security and a D-Class into a panic, and one of the two still calm enough to think ends up staying to delay the three instances while the other quickly closes the cell doors. MTF arrives shorty after this, and the lone survivor gives a brief rundown of what just occurred. By this point, everyone else in the CC is dead, and more instances are being created until the doors can’t hold all of them anymore. Six or seven instances of SCP-173 breach containment, and the MTF team is left scrambling as there are not enough in the group to keep all of them at bay. The site goes into a full lockdown, all of the combatant classes are sent to find and terminate each instance of SCP-173. In total, the event would have 10 or so instances of 173, and the leader of each group sent out to kill an instance will be provided with an Ethereal. However, D-Class are bound to escape. And in the confusion, one happens to trip the power, and now the task of eliminating all the rogue instances of SCP-173 becomes a lot more difficult. TL; DR: 173 performs mitosis and the site scrambles to take control of the situation as shit hits the fan. Another cool idea I have: SCP-527 v. Mobile Task Force As many of you are aware within Site 23, SCP-527 is a safe class SCP allowed to roam freely within the site and poses no threat whatsoever to the Foundation. He is just a human with the head of a Puntius Semifasciolatus, commonly known as the Gold Barbed Fish. 527 is very strange, having the gift of near invulnerability, and acts equally as chaotic and quirky. Despite this, many Foundation personnel seem to really enjoy his presence. Recently, however; many members of the combative forces have been unloading mag after mag into 527, knowing full well that he is nigh invincible and that bullets will not do much to him. Despite this, SCP-527 feels the excruciating pain that any normal human would feel when taking a high calibre bullet to the body, and is forced to endure this pain constantly, sometimes for hours on end for the sake of combative personnel amusement. One day, SCP-527 has enough. He feels that as a harmless Safe Class SCP with perfect sentience, he should be treated ethically and humanely. He decides to contact the Ethics Committee, and a court case is created. It is titled SCP-527 v. Mobile Task Force, and 527 goes up against the Mobile Task Force as a whole. Some branches like Research and Security (just as an example) are immediately supportive of SCP-527. But the O5 Council decides to side with MTF, stating that no SCP, no matter how sentient and safe, should be given rights. And so, the biggest court case in the history of the Foundation is set in stone. Even Class D personnel are permitted to watch the case unfold. But who will come out on top? TL; DR: The fish SCP has enough of being mag dumped into and goes to court against the entire Mobile Task Force. The O5 sides with MTF, and even D-Class are allowed to witness the chaos that is SCP-527 v. Mobile Task Force unfold.

  11. In Game Name: DakAttack Steam ID: STEAM_0:1:585904892 Discord ID: DakAttack#1738 Squadron you are Applying for: Guardian Current RP Ranks Held: Security JFTO SM AJG and MTF Nu-7 PVT Has anyone recommended you to apply for the RRH program? (If not, it's fine): None directly, but I’ve heard higher ups insisting that people join during the weekly GENSEC meetings. If applying for Analyst please link notable test-logs here: N/A How many Warns do you have? (With Screenshot Proof): None Why do you want to join the Red Right Hand team: Every time I see members of the Hand roll into D-Block, I’m always stunned by how in charge they are of the situation, and I always think to myself “man, I would love to be able to do something like that.” The reason I joined GENSEC in the first place was to be a part of a protection-based squad. If the name of what I’m applying for is related to what the branch is about, then I think that being a part of the Hand is t perfect for me. Protecting the Foundation is why I continue to do my part in Security, and the RRH seems like the perfect next step in helping protect it even more efficiently. Why should we accept you: While I’m not necessarily the best when it comes to combat, I believe that I’m fairly skilled in strategy and being able to get things done. I’m usually quick to call out something that’s out of the ordinary, and act as fast as possible to correct the situation. I believe that my abilities could be beneficial to the Hand, and it seems like a great opportunity for me as well. I enjoy working as a part of GENSEC, and being able to assist the Foundation more in any way would be great, as doing so has become like breathing to me. An automatic, something hardwired into my brain.
  12. +support, has shown overall improvement in himself lately.
