Before writing this, I'd like to emphasize I have no personal bias against Hotshot. I am merely giving my take after what I have read. I'd like to say that I agree with the sentiment expressed by both this +support as well as the report. It not only makes it such a pain for command teams to update their battalions when there is a ludicrous wait time like this, but it also leaves them wondering when the suggestions for updates will finally be implemented. For example, the Z-6 fix suggestion is marked as accepted yet as far as I have seen is not implemented. Furthermore, the behavior of Hotshot towards a member of High Command who has been around a while is simply atrocious and downright wrong, ESPECIALLY given the face that that person had entirely valid concerns. Thirdly, I believe the mass purging of reserves was wrong. I can't speak for other battalions, but I can say in my battalion (501st) we had multiple people removed who had every right to keep their reserves. One example comes to mind; Doomlam/Dev. Doomlam was an EXEMPLARY officer, serving with distinction from his higher ups (me at the time) and the respect for of his peers. Sadly, he had to reserve due to personal reasons, but he did a lot while he was around! He was hosting SIMs and trainings all of the time and always encouraging activity from those below him. He was also a great guy to be around, both fun and kind, not to mention a GM for this server. Why were his reserves purged? Because Hotshot saw no note of what he did next to his name. You have got to be joking if you think that is a valid reason, especially when you consider (as far as I am aware when writing this) that the current command team (Myself, Miyo & Pisces) were NOT consulted when his reserves were removed. While I do understand Hotshot has final say over roleplay, it would feel a little nicer for him to take a more active and visible part in the community if he is going to make impactful decisions such as removing reserves or promoting reserves as well as ignoring misuse of logs in Spectre's case. In addition, many including myself feel as though the server has taken a sharp turn towards monetization and many believe that the focus has solely shifted to making money and advertising jobs that require a donation to play rather than quality of life and fun playability. To respond to another reply a few above mine from a former staff member, if Hotshot doesn't have time to be on and active, should he really be manager? There's nothing wrong with being busy with school and such but if you can't manage your server due to it, maybe you shouldn't be manager anymore? When it comes to updates, it's true that many have simply come out as.. boring. We keep getting new paid crates to open, maybe give attention to the free ones too? I get you have to tailor to your donors to keep a cash flow and keep the server alive, but you can't leave the majority of the community who aren't donors out in the gutter. Give us a fun update! Give us something to stimulate the server instead of stimulate the cash flow! I know for one, there isn't a whole lot of areas good for passive RP on the server. I will admit the addition of a firing range was AWESOME! But when will we get other cool things like that? Speaking from personal experience, it's very easy to get bored between events and such due to a lack of good server updates! I would also like to touch on the SMT/JMT situation. While I cannot exactly say what occurred in the situation as most of what I have heard is hearsay, I can say that the situation ended with a lot of good staff members leaving the server, leading me to believe that something clearly was not handled properly. Me personally? I almost left myself. River, as Igneous said, must not have been vetted for SMT as it was very clearly he was doing some shady stuff. The only way I can describe it is as a mismanagement of JMT and SMT. I do not know what should happen to Hotshot, but something needs to change. Imperial RP is suffering and if it's time for a changing of the guard, it's time for a changing of the guard. I don't want to quote them all as to clog up the feed with a ridiculously long post, but I'd recommend looking at the responses posted by the following individuals as I very strongly agree with them: Igneous, Chico, Frog, Ducks, Bear.

+ MEGA PLUS SUPPORT to put it bluntly, while this HUD is ok, it's not very good IMO. It's very bland, boring and uninspired. Not trying to be rude, but I think a new HUD would greatly benefit the quality of life on GL Imperial RP

+ SUPER PLUS SUPPORT!!!!!!! I have known Mando most of my tenure on this server. In short, he was one of the best command members I served under in 501st. He has a special ability few possess, an ability to come across as friendly yet feel like someone you just want to respect and follow. During my time under Mando, I would have marched through hell and back if he had asked. He's very easy to talk to and knows his stuff. He's been around a while and I simply cannot think of a better candidate for Fleet Admiral than Mando. Best of luck my friend, truly! I know I for one am rooting for Dadmiral Mando!

+ Support! - From what I have seen of him online, he's a good guy! - While he may have just now made a forums account, everyone has to start somewhere! I for one had zero forums activity before applying for GM - Has a basic grasp of how ULX functions - While he does have two warns, becoming a GM could help encourage him to turn that around and besides, no one is perfect. - While the application is a little lackluster, you have to remember this guy is new to our forums! - the only negative thing I can say is that his event idea is rather uncreative. Still, this can be addressed rather easily! (Hagrid, speak to me if you want help coming up with ideas!) I for one think Hagrid deserves his shot at GM!

What is your IGN? (In Game Name) : 501st ARCAL Colonel Theta/Blitz 2. What Regiment are you applying for? I am applying for 501st Legion Vice Commander 3. Why do you want to be a commander of this branch? I feel like I can lend a lot of experience in helping lead this battalion. I've seen a lot as it's been my primary life since March of this year. I take pride in any changes I've been able to institute/lend a hand with in my tenure, as an NCO, Officer, JTAL & JTL, ARCAL and a former VCDMR. At the end of the day, I simply wish to see the battalion I've come to call home flourish. 4. How much game time do you have on the server? 494.07 hours as of writing this application (https://www.battlemetrics.com/players/483028381) While this may not be as high as some others and while my combat level may be lower than others, I would like to say that I have never AFK'd on the server for a substantial amount of time. Those are almost ALL active hours. 5. What is the Main Purpose of a commander for a branch? A Commander must lead the battalion as a whole. They need to be someone to look up to, not just for enlisted troopers, but NCOs and Officers as well. They must be a good role model and set a good example for the troops below them, as well as guiding the battalion into positive changes and improvements, not only in terms up playability and organization but also in the RP sense. Commanders should strive and aim to stimulate activity whilst also keeping things fun and enjoyable, instead of bogging the battalion down with boring, overly serious stuff. They also need to be strict yet friendly, not allowing any infractions to occur below them and making sure to keep those below them in line. 6. Why should we trust you to be a commander? : I am one of if not the most senior Officer in the Battalion after the Commanders. I have been in the 501st Legion since the beginning of March, but was also in it from November to January the winter prior. I've seen my fair share of Commanders and Officers both above and below me cycle through the battalion and it has left a good image in my head of how a Commander should conduct themselves. I have plenty of experience, as I was a VCMDR before in this battalion, prior to which I was a Major and JTL (Jet Trooper Lead, before the branch was made a certification). I did go into reserves on good terms due to personal and job related issues that arose in my life, however those issues are long since solved and I'd love to have another crack at the job without the stress of that weighing on me. Since coming out of reserves, I've achieved the Rank of Colonel. I was also able to become JTL again, having since transferred to ARCAL Blitz as JT became a cert. In my first bout as JTL, I was able to assist in overhauling the job/branch alongside the respective command, improving it's versatility and making it more enjoyable to play. Like I said before, I believe I have a good grasp of how a Commander should conduct themselves and lead a battalion and I am ready to take up that position. 7. How often can you be Online? : Due to the nature of my job, I can't say set hours every day, but I can be on the server most days if not every day for upwards of four hours.
