What is your staff rank and the server you work in? Senior Moderator in SCPRP
How often are you online on the forums? Usually check 5-6 times a day, and will sometimes read through anything that's new. But I am usually available to check the forums from 7am-1pm and 3pm-11pm (est).
Why do you believe you're qualified to serve as a Forum Diplomat? Firstly, I am a trustworthy member of the community, and try to be tactful and mature with any serious situations. I want to become a diplomat so that Gaminglight can continue being friendly to all of its users. I know the forums rules and will be as fast as I can to react to any problems on the forums. I am good at seeing both sides of any story that may come up and try to make decisions that will help the most people. I hope to work alongside and help other diplomats when they may need it, and am always prepared to help people get through new problems.
Would you consider yourself to have good judgment? If so, please describe a situation that required you to make a difficult decision? Yes, I have been a command member for quite a while now, and have dealt with plenty of situations where I would need to decide what the best solution is, and what solution is the most beneficial for everyone involved. By being a staff member I have better learned how to take disciplinary actions where they are needed, alongside when someone has or doesn't have harmful intent. It is my goal to help people make better decisions and to learn from their mistakes instead of outright punishing them, as that will help them more in the long run.
How would you deal with a situation where a user is spamming in various topics due to getting banned from one of our servers? First I would screenshot and then hide any offensive posts they have made and inform the head diplomat of the issue. Then I would message the user and remind them that bans can only be appealed in the ban appeals section, and not to spam the forums. If they were to continue I would ask the head diplomat (or SMT if the head is unavailable) to set their profile as content moderated until further notice. Finally, based on the severity of the posts, I would determine if it was enough for either a forums warn or ban.
How would you deal with a situation where two users are aggressively arguing with each other in a warning appeal? I would first remove the arguing comments, then remind them to leave the comments as +/- supports, or to only state information that is relevant to the appeal, and then inform the head diplomat of the situation. If they continue, (depending on the amount/level of arguing, I would decide if anything said is worthy of a strike or ban, and lock the post until a member of SMT responds to the appeal.
