How would this change better the server? - People who are using riot shields will actually be able to defend themselves, numerous time i have used the riotshield when i am low or a non combatant just for people to start taking out trench knives and start throwing them through the riot shield and killing me. This would be a great addition especially with the nerf riot shields have just gotten. If this is unable to be done i suggest a rule be made about how throwing trench knives through riot shields is exploiting. This would be better as people who take out riot shields cant defend themselves when somebody takes out trench knives and starts throwing them through the riot shield, when this happens riot shields are basically useless. Are there any disadvantages of making this change to the server? If so, explain. - People who have the trench knifes might be a bit mad but this should not be something in the first place as knives going through riot shields is unrealastic. Who would this change mostly benefit? - People who donated for the trench knives and riot shields. But when you throw the trench knife it becomes a prop. AKA the reason why in the past after a prop issue it was able to 1 hit ppl. And why it said the world killed you when you died to it because its a prop. Given how chokey a lot of the map itself is, with narrow hallways and slender doorways, the shield and its defensive capabilities wont let you be a bunny hopping damage eraser sure, but when you are sitting in front of a doorway slowing pvp to a screeching halt, you deserve the anomalous knife to the forehead. Also, the trench knife is slow to throw, and its damage isnt insanely high. If they pull the knife, they are left vulnerable to A: being outdamaged, and B: using an item that has low speed and requires more aim since its a projectile. You whip out a gun at that point, they are a free kill in a sense. Kinda big cringe my guy Standing in a doorway or tight hallway, riot shield out, slowing a fight down to nothing is unfun for everyone involved. It reaches a point where it is practically abuse, as the fight becomes nothing but a staring contest because you cant get past the walking prop in the hallway/door without killing the holder, which is a pain in the dick without trench knives. Shield humpers ruin fights, and I understand pulling it out to lock an area and you behind cover, but when its used it a way that just ruins the combat experience, it deserves the knife.
