T Mod Why do you believe that you deserve the rank? (150 Word Minimum) I feel I should become staff again as I have been staff for GamingLight before I was a Senior Moderator I know how to handle most issues and I know that you must remain calm within all scenarios as I know that some players will try to push your buttons to make you lose your cool so they can start against you but I feel it is time for me to return to the fold now I know that this may not be the best application in the world but I do want to get back to helping people on the server and one of the best ways to do this is for me to become staff again now I understand that I will need to work my way up the ranks again which is what I am willing to do and I promise that I will do my best to help keep the server free from trouble makers Scenario questions: Select any two of the following four questions to answer for this section. Please note, in the scenario questions we are not expecting perfect answers. We are accessing your critical thinking skills, your ability to use the staff handbook, and come to reasonable conclusions. Q1: How would you handle someone that is Mass RDMing and when you bring him/her to an admin sit all they do is curse at you? First off I would have them gagged them tell them the seriousness of the situation and that if they wish to keep playing on the server the attitude they are showing is not the way to go them I would ungag them and ask them why they did it and them after the explanation I would check the level and warns and proceed with the appropriate consequence then Q2: You are involved in a staff sit that involves 5 different players. The players begin to get frustrated and the sit becomes very toxic and unproductive. What would you do in this situation? I would first gag them all and tell them that if they do not calm down I will not be able to help them get to the bottom of the issue then tell them that I will ungag them and say that no one is to talk over another or they will be gagged until I am ready to talk to them and then try and get to the resolve then Q3: In your opinion, what is the best way to handle a situation involving a player that clearly does not care about the punishments they are receiving? I would tell them that if they do not care about the punishment getting then they may find themselves banned after a while from either a rule break that results in a ban or a ban from the warn threshold and that if they wish to carry on playing then they cannot continue on their current path Q4: There is a player abusing a known bug, and he has been reported to staff. He swears he followed the server rules when you talk with him. What's the best way to handle this? I would ask for proof of the player abusing said glitch then if the evidence is provided I would then check the player level and warns and decide on the appropriate consequence that way

However as of right now I'm currently in event team and I have been using a lot of the commands while on Event Team to get familiar with them. What date did you start playing on the community? Yes Timezone PDT What rank are you applying for? Trial Moderator Why do you believe that you deserve the rank? (150 Word Minimum) I deserve the rank because I've been really active on the server, I will be able to do sits when the server is active, and I'm very dedicated to helping the server out the best I can because I love this server and feel like I can make a great asset to the team! I can be trusted with staff powers because I would not do anything to harm the server in any way shape or form because I have no reason to at all. I would try to take all of the sits that I see pop up and make sure they are completed and finished. I don't minge at all and won't abuse my staff powers if I get them. I always would be happy to give a helping hand to the staff team and remove some load off the staff's backs. In general, I love this server's community and would be grateful to help it to its extent and more! Scenario questions: Q3: In your opinion, what is the best way to handle a situation involving a player that clearly does not care about the punishments they are receiving? I would give the warn/punishment that they are getting and tell the person if they keep up with their behavior the punishment can and will be worse than the one they are receiving and I will explain the 10-20-30-40 warn marks saying that if you keep up getting warns you will receive the punishments for reaching that mark and will tell them that its nothing to scoff at. Q4: There is a player abusing a known bug, and he has been reported to staff. He swears he followed the server rules when you talk with him. What's the best way to handle this? Before taking the sit right away I will see if the person abusing the known bug is actually doing it unless the reporter has proof of this happening. Once I've seen the bug being abused (either through my eyes or the proof) I will tell them that I saw them abusing the bug and will tell them that they are getting warned for it. I will then tell them to not do it again and close the sit. (The warn would be a Formal Warning)

(150 Word Minimum) I am activ3e and i always try my best to show others how good i can learn and follow instructions and i go above and beyond to handle situations that dont need a staff member present. Q2: You are involved in a staff sit that involves 5 different players. The players begin to get frustrated and the sit becomes very toxic and unproductive. What would you do in this situation? Ask them to calm down and deescalate the problem and handle it the best way i can. Q3: In your opinion, what is the best way to handle a situation involving a player that clearly does not care about the punishments they are receiving? ask them what is wrong and try to make their experience funner and try to ask them not to do bad things. Q4: There is a player abusing a known bug, and he has been reported to staff. He swears he followed the server rules when you talk with him. What's the best way to handle this? Tell him to stop using the bug and warn him for using it and tell him not to do it again.

I was under a lot of stress and pressure from a group of minges harassing me and I didnt want to get involved with them, so I kill binded to avoid them when in a sit. I know it was wrong. I am believing that I should be granted the position of Trial mod, I have 3 months on the Server now. As of the time of this Application being posted, I have progressed to Level 90 on the server, I have experience on it with Minges (Ex. Shock) and I have reached ranks within many battalions. As of today, I wish to become a Trial Mod under the hope that I can help better the server against minges, improving my self integratory and the amount of fun the server can have (so they don’t deal with minges constantly). As a Trial Mod, I would be relaxed but strict, if I am in a sit, I wouldn’t back down in an argument BUT if someone is just mic spamming for example, I would be chill and just PM them first, and move up the ladder. In this situation I would search for any other moderators or admins online and see if they can help gag or mute the minge, after that I would see if the person who came to assist me is able to ban the person MRDMing and Cursing. If no admins or mods are on I would see if any can get on through discord, if not I would be in a predicament because trial mod cannot ban, and have restricted permissions.

Do you have any other experience with staffing?: Yes, I was a admin in a discord server with around 1.2k people, I did a lot in the server, I also help get evidence to get 3 corrupted admins demoted. I have dealt with many problems and members. I have been admin for a month but the server was only created on april 1st or 2nd. What date did you start playing on the community? 18/05/2021. (150 Word Minimum) I think I deserve the rank because I have a lot of experience with staff and can do very time consuming tasks. I am also not bias and when it comes to stressful things then I ask for help or just be as calm as I can and try my best to handle the situation. This also includes being mad at someone, if I am I will just stay as calm as I can and let them finish, then decide what to do, and if I ever need help or do not have permissions to deal with a situation then I will get a higher up following the chain of command. I could honestly try my best and try to make the server a better and more fun place for everyone. It is some what sad to see players not enjoying there time on a video game that even though that is what a video game is for. Personally I think that the Gaminglight servers but mostly the SCP-RP servers has a good community but it could do better and I think I could help with that. I also see a lot of people breaking the rules and not knowing them and I could help people figure them out or punish them accordingly to try and make sure it doesn't happen again. My messed up sleep schedule I mentioned earlier and my activity can help with peoples problems being solved as soon as I can. I don't see a lot of mods/admins on late night so I could be on and help with that. Also I hear a lot of questions and can answer them like if they does not know how to type in chat or do certain commands like !motd or /name [something in here idk] or maybe they are breaking the 2 life rule, then I can go over tell them about it and tell them how to resign, use the discord channels for there purpose, where the forums are, EXT. I have read all of the links I could find that was provided in the discord, server, and all of the rules on the server so I can answer the questions to the best of my ability, on the forums and on the server itself. I will NEVER judge a person no matter what the other person reported them on until they show proof or there is so much evidence against him/her/other, If proof is not shown then I will have to tell them "So I can not do any thing since there is no proof and you could be lying." "I am sorry but I am going to have to send you back, next time get proof, Goodbye". Also I see the staff take a very long time to accept a report for XP for a test or hanging a D-class (sarkic), and more but they take a while. Last night a sarkic hanged me and we waited around 30 minutes and no staff came and the sarkic felt bad I had to wait there and just hang from a ceiling. But with me as a mod I could change that long late night experience to be more fun. Handling a player that is Mass RDMing, incessantly cursing and refusing to respond to questioning by staff. First I would get my act in set and try to calm the person down something on the lines of "please calm down, the more you scream/say bad words then we will have to gag you" "all I want to do is talk, stop screaming/saying bad words", if that fails and they are still saying "no no words" then I would gag them. I will still continue to ask questions on the line of "why did you RDM?" "why did you curse at staff?", If I don't get a answer then I would lay out what would happen. I would say "So here is what is going to happen", "I am going to give you two former warnings, Ltap for not answering my questions, and Player disrespect for cursing at members of the server." "Then a higher up will deal with you about the MRDM". I would get a higher up because in the hand book it said I can not deal with a MRDM as a trail mod. After I get someone else I would tell them all the problems and what the member of the server did. Then I tell my voice of what should happen then I would leave and let the other admin deal with it.

(150 Word Minimum) Activity: These past 3-4 weeks I have tried to be as active as I can be spending like 2-3 hours on, whether it may be splitting the time up between SPHP, State, and Criminal. I am usually more active on the weekends in any time zone not really a specific time, this is because during the week I am putting time into school, as well as trying to find a job, putting in applications going to interviews etc. Maturity: In the past, I have not been the most mature actually I would consider myself very immature in the past. As I have had the opportunity to be staff and get lots of experience on how the staff role shall be upheld and how I should uphold myself. Now, I consider myself MATURE, Everyone has moments where they like to have fun and get a good chuckle and I used to take that way to far, Now I control my actions and am ready to take on the role of staff. Work ethic: I love to be put to work and i love to be apart of staff, Ever since I joined the server I have desired being staff and I have tried multiple times and every time I have tried I have taken the feedback from the people and used it to better myself and hopefully prove to the staff members and people of gaming light that I am capable of upholding the role that a staff member should have and show. How would you handle someone that is Mass RDMing and when you bring him/her to an admin sit all they do is curse at you? First, I would bring the person that made the sit and also the person that the sit was called against. I would then let the person that called the sit talk first then i would ask the person who the sit was called on, there side and if they started cursing i would give them 2-3 warnings to calm down and stop if they didn't i would gag them and check logs to see if they did MASS RDM and if i see that they did i would ungag them give them one more chance to talk and if they didn't i would continue to warn them for Staff Diss | Mass RDM. I would also call for a higher staff member to ban the player for 5 days.

I've seen a lot of warns going out lately around the server and I only see 2 to 3 admins on every 5 hours which could be hard for the people giving out the warns because they have to deal with a lot of reports by them self's. But if I got Trial Mod I would be active and deal with reports as soon as possible. Like I said I was active I play on the server for many hours after school my school ends at 12:30 and it would help me be more active as a Mod. I know most of the commands and I know who to get if I need a ban out on a player. I'm very trust worthy so when I have the tool gun on duty I will not use it unless I have to. for a SCP breach or anything that needs the tool gun that's not playing around with it That's why I should be a Trial Mod and I'm sure I would learn more about being a Mod if I got accepted. First I would tell them to calm down if they don't after warnings I give them I would gag them and the person that sent the request for the person I would ask them if they had of them RDMing if they didn't have one I would check the logs well I would still check logs even if they had a clip if it was true about them I would give them the right punishment which is a formal warn and i would get a admin+ to give them the ban.

(150 Word Minimum): My name is Canaan, most of you know me as Kinky Unicorns and i have definitely spent an uncomfortable amount of time on Gmod from when i first obtained the game over 6 years ago. During that time I've never been more drawn to a community than the one here at GamingLight. Not only is it the amazing servers from Police RP to Clone Wars, but most importantly like any community it is the people. the relationships forged on this one game in these last 6 months will never be forgotten, and that is an impact worth writing this application over. I believe i deserve this rank because i only want better for this server, to help in any way possible, and stop any potential harmfulness a random user can cause in any way. In my current position in PoliceRP i supervise a plethora of users already, constantly dealing with rules and behavior. i believe the time I've amounted on this server and in this community has greatly expanded my knowledge from rules to social interactions. Rest assured i feel there are not many other people that are not already staff that are more capable than myself when it comes to the seriousness of being a staff member. 16. How would you handle someone that is Mass RDMing and when you bring him/her to an admin sit all they do is curse at you?: Considering the cursing as soon as he is brought to a sit, upon not stopping when asked i would gag immediately, and review logs to confirm whether in fact it was actually MassRDM, upon confirmation of that fact i would issue a formal warning for the Mass RDM and then request a higher administrator to proceed with a 5 day ban. I would also take into account the player itself, not all Mass RDM cases are created equal, a player joining the server for the first time and going absolutely ballistic is one thing compared to a veteran player who maybe was just having a little too much fun, that ends up in a report, either way both players would receive at minimum a documented warning of their actions.

If they right away start to insult and curse at everyone, I would try to talk to them genuinely, if they calm down I would continue with the sit. If they didn’t, I would gag them and add on to the other things they were doing that they were staff dissing. If the people making the sit don’t have any videos or anything they want to show me, I would check the logs and see if they did commit mass RDM as accused. First is that I used to be a Trial mod for SCP-RP which shows that I am capable of handling staff and situations. I do admit I have made mistakes a year ago with that, but a year later I have changed for the better and is ready to help assist PRP and show to what I can really be. Also I think people make mistakes, were humans and we all get it, and I think I have improved and worked of those mistakes so now I can re-apply and hopefully do better. I also have almost immaculate experience with ULX and BLogs, not to mention rushing to a scene where someone needs an admin's help meaning I am always on duty ready for any crisis, emergency or dispute. Additionally I'm well connected to the community, I am also able to complete my own sits yet be included in other admins sits if any help is needed. Players that tend to be aggressive and violent in behavior can disturb other admins and make them become violent and aggressive by me keeping calm yet strict to get my point across and not to provoke any other behavior. By achieving a staff member rank I wont be bias by letting other staff members break the rules but to be stern and show that they were in the wrong instead of letting it go passed as if they were above the rules. By being a staff member I wont just look for the obvious rule breakers but also for the smaller rule breakers that Meta-Game, Not advertise correctly or spam chat or microphone. I know most rules to mind yet may also need to look at the MoTD to look for changes or to correct myself. Being a staff member is not a one time thing it takes pride and makes you feel like you, so you feel like part of the community almost conjoined and connected as if you are one with the community. Strip his weapons 4. If he continues to keep screaming at me after I give him 5 verbal warns I would gag him 5. talk to him and ask him "why are you coming on this server with 50+ people on?" 5.2 ungag to see a response 5.3 keeps cussing and screaming and refuses to answer gag. 5.4 Warn for Staff Diss (Server diss|Player Diss if did) 6. I am very well known by most of MTF, and have only been warned once after 6 days of play-time. This further proves my ability to stay professional and respectful whenever it comes to situations. I also believe that I should acquire this position because recently I have seen very many people complaining about rules being broken whenever there is only 1 or 2 staff on. This hurts our community greatly because it makes the experience of playing worse. This isn't good because as a community, it is always an objective to see our servers grow and prosper. I would also like to use this job to further bond with the community and hopefully have them see me as someone who they can go to when they need advice, help, or want someone to vent to. I don't know if age affects the application but I'm 21 years old, which in retrospect means I'm a bit more mature than say a 15 year old playing. I've said previously that I moderate on Discords, and although that's not the same, I do take my job on there seriously and that's all I know how to do, is moderate, enforce rules, and help people on forums and the server. In fact, whenever I play on the server, sometimes I'll "micro-mod" and while I don't mean to act like staff, its just sort of natural for me due to my Mod history. I play on the server for several hours or more, and I usually involve myself in events. Whenever I play on the server, I notice people breaking rules like say a 912 is FailRP-ing and attacking D-Class when he's not supposed to, those are times I wish I could tell him what he is doing is wrong without him blowing me off cause I'm not staff, or cause I'm dead. I have a great relationship with everyone and although I'm newer to GL, I seem to have developed a overall great relationship with everyone, I respect everyone and I'm very open to advice and to feedback from Upper Staff. If you choose to deny my application, I'm not gonna stop playing the game, being a staff was not the reason I started playing and its certainly not going to reason I quit, because that's simply immature. I would try to ask them to silence themselves so I may lecture them on what they are doing is wrong, if they continue, I would gag them until the end of the talk, in which I would ungag them. If they were to continue to curse and be disrespectful, warn them for staff disrespect and I would then proceed to check their warnings and depending on the amount, either let em off with a verbal warning, or if they have done this type of behavior in the past, give them a 300 second Anti-Minge, or if this would be their 3rd time getting in trouble for this, contact my superior and explain this situation as well as ask for their help giving the punishment. Once that's taken care of, thank the Mod or Admin or whoever came, and return the RDM-er to his original position. Edit: Let them know they are getting a warning and that it is for Staff Disrespect. And if the situation is far beyond my control, like they have 15+ warns, I would contact an Admin and then let them handle it. I would also watch them handle it so I feel less awkward the next I do a Admin Sit.
