Name: Nydekore
SteamID: STEAM_0:1:114460542
Current Rank: Lead Researcher
Time in Research: About 3 months
Why do you believe you should be in Research Command?: I believe I should be research command because I am very skilled as both a researcher and command member. I have earned my spot as both a top foundation researcher, seeing as I am both LR and an RRH Analyst and because I am able to produce quality tests. I am also very qualified for command. I am currently a First Lieutenant in Nu-7 and I'd like to think that I am both respected and liked by my enlisted/NCO's. I have often lead my fellow Nu-7 to re-secure the site through my communication and guidance. While this may be a cause for concern as being command in even a single branch takes quite a bit of time away, I assure you that I would have the time to perform duties in both branches.
What can you bring to the table that others can't?: I believe it's hard to find something that I can do that others can't, because I'm more a jack of all trades than a master at one. I don't work on one niche thing, I work on being well-rounded. I think that in and of itself is something that I bring that others may not have. I can take all sorts of tasks that may need to be done whether they involve the need for leadership, organization, general intellect, or communication. While I lack any one strong suit, I do have a lot of skills which I can use to better the research branch as a whole and increase activity and enjoyment.
What would you do to better Research and increase activity?: First and foremost I would work to host activity contests or other such challenges to get the competitive nature flowing in the enlisted, allow them to work against each other while also working together to better the branch for themselves. I would also work to generate enjoyment through giving enlisted researchers enjoyable test ideas, which I have plenty of. Additionally, I would make sure that mingier test ideas be replaced with ones that are research for the sake of bettering the foundation instead of research for the sake of cheap giggles, though of course this would be on a case for case basis as some tests are not harmful but are a bit goofier.
