  1. not really a raid timer, it's a way of making Bright interesting and more connected with lore. Bright is technically one and the same with the amulet he possesses, which could have the ability to transfer knowledge from life to life. It could also add an interesting challenge to sleuths. I know sleuths don't like being captured but Bright can not be everywhere. I assume sleuthing gets boring when they aren't helping towards a raid so avoiding Bright's eye could be that extra spice. Of course, I've never played sleuth so Idk, but I'd like feedback from people that do play sleuth.
  2. I don't think English is Darkrat's first language if I'm not mistaken so that might be the language issue. I digress though. +Support, as a researcher I get sick of constantly having Bright flagging on and constantly having to watch them. Of course, with these powers the mingy Bright players could be more of a problem but that should be fine if Bright becomes less "researcher but no training" and more "actual full on class". In order to protect against mingy Bright players abusing this, maybe even attach it to a branch instead of letting them run amuck and make Bright a rank based research whitelist? (This one is a bit of a stretch but it's something that came to mind so I figured why not throw that out there). It's always been weird to me that research basically has people with SR level testing perms that have no punish-ability when we see them messing around/doing something they shouldn't.

    SCP-096.

If combatants are adverting the bag attempt they couldn't
  4. +support -seems like a chill dude -well written app -can confirm he did not get mad at me when I gunned him down
  5. +/- Support -The damage is a lot and the firing rate is quick, however the accuracy just got majorly nerfed to the point of great difficulty in hip firing. I would gladly say get rid of some of its damage if I was able to aim as TRT again. -This being said, I do believe that this nerf should not be too much. Currently, TRT is one of Nu7's best classes and given the state of Behemoth and our Operative classes, we need some way to give our enlisted a fighting chance against CI.
  6. +support -Solid application, could've been more elaborate but it's alright -Only warn is from so long ago it must as well have not happened for all I care.
  7. Name: Nydekore Rank: Moderator Reason: I haven't been around too long and I simply haven't been motivated to do any event work. Thank you to Apple for this opportunity, however I don't think I'm a good fit for ET right now.

  9. Can vouch for this, been here for several instances of his "mixology". Kidding, Stepanyan you're a cool dude and I'm happy to have you as a part of research
  10. -Support -Proven mingy behavior -Interference in the application process -Tau-5 performance shows that he would not be willing to perform his job on occasions, a trait that Nu7 operatives simply can't have.
  11. +Support -Been GL staff already -Solid scenario questions -Seems to be chill judging by forum history, nothing toxic/inappropriate -Don’t like the warns but there are only 2, I’ve seen worse, especially if Recron is right and the warn wasn’t really valid
  12. -Support 7 warns and a ban is just too much, especially with how lenient some of us on the team are. FailRP is kind of a hard one to get on complete accident. Wait for these to expire and maybe clean up your attitude/act on the server judging by what my fellow commenters said.
  13. Nanafrost is a really cool dude, never had any issues with him. Full +support to this one.
  14. We will miss you Zack! We haven't talked much at all but I always had a good bit of respect for your work. o7
  15. Name: Nydekore SteamID: STEAM_0:1:114460542 Current Rank: Lead Researcher Time in Research (Estimate): A month and a half Why do you believe you should be in Research Command?: I believe that I should be a part of research command for three very concise reasons. Number one is that I am very active. I have been playing for little more than a month and a half and have made it to the "command ready" positions in both Nu7 and Research. This goes to show that not only am I active but also that when I am on I am doing good work. I have no strikes, I think the one thing I've ever been yelled at for is getting too far ahead of Clef one time when we were doing some test on surface. Number two is that I am very responsible. I am on ET (rather new to it, but I digress) which shows that I am already trusted, to some degree, with the responsibilities that come with power. Number three is that I make well-received test logs, my three most recent test logs are all scored above 90%. These three reasons alone I believe show my merit and abilities. What can you bring to the table that others can't?: What I bring that few others provide is simply experience. Now, I am rather new to SCPRP so people may have me beat there but I just recently resigned from a Staff Management position in a CSGO community. While this was a staff position rather than an RP command position, the skills that come along with it are extremely useful. These skills include unbiased decision making, respect for higher ups, the ability to handle power, and communication, whether said communication is with higher ups or the people I would be commanding/helping. Now as to how these skills apply to an RAS position; unbiased decision making allows me to handle striking without being harsher/more lenient depending on who it is, if someone were to be punished by me they'd be punished for what they did, not who they are; respect for higher ups is always something people need, it's just generally a humble approach, this is helpful as I would not be contradicting what higher command members want, I make for a good team player; the ability to handle power means that I would not suddenly transform into some sort of power demon the second I had the chance to, I know that my power could easily be removed if I did play around with it (and also abusing power is just overall not appealing to me, I strive to take this position not for the power but for the opportunities that power can bring to the branch); finally, communication is always a great component of any good leader because it means that I will be quick to respond to any questions, comments, concerns, etc. from anyone that needed my input. These skills give me a bit of leverage over other applicants. What would you do to better Research and increase activity?: I think that research is currently doing alright, our numbers are a little small but I think that's mostly because fewer people like the heavier roleplay experience research provides and more prefer the combat based rp that occurs in MTF, CI, Gensec, etc. However, despite us being "alright", I do think there are some areas that we could change to better the branch. I think we could make it more apparent to researchers that ET is around to help them with roleplaying out tests, for example. I think that if more people had a more genuine experience than "chuck dclass at thing, watch dclass die" (while some tests are more intricate than this, a lot of them don't change much visually/mechanically) people would be more excited to hold tests and we'd greatly increase the quality of tests/test logs. Event team is there to help improve the roleplay experience and I think we can always make that more clear to our research personnel so that they can experience how great RP can be.
  16. Date of Interview: 6/9/21 Topic of Interview: General intelligence/wellness check Notes Pre-Interview: SCP-939 is usually unable to talk besides mimicking words. However, I took a recording of a class D personnel saying basic words and played them to an instance of 939, designated SCP-939-02. I hope that this provides 939-02 the ability of very basic communication. I found it necessary that we not give 939-02 too many words, otherwise things may get messy, especially for the fact that 939 instances use this parroting ability to hunt for prey. Interviewer: Lead Researcher Nydekore Interviewee: SCP-939-02 ---------------------------BEGINLOG---------------------------- LR Nydekore: Hello SCP-939-02, how are you feeling today? SCP-939-02: (In the monotone, almost robotic voice of the recorded d class) Sad. LR Nydekore: What is making you feel this way? SCP-939-02: (In the same tone as before) Alone. LR Nydekore: You mean because you are separated from your other 939 instances? SCP-939-02: *Begins to almost frantically repeat "Alone." over and over for minutes*. LR Nydekore: Is there anything else you feel? SCP-939-02: Thirsty*1. LR Nydekore: Thirsty? Thirsty how? SCP-939-02: Thirsty. LR Nydekore: You seem to have no digestive track 939, why do you eat? SCP-939-02: Hungry...? (SCP-939-02 looks visibly confused, as if this weren't the word it were looking for.) LR Nydekore: How could you be hungry if you don't require food? SCP-939-02: (SCP-939-02 looks as if it is thinking for a while) Fun. LR Nydekore: Fun? You enjoy hunting people? SCP-939-02: Fun. *seems to shake its head affirmatively* LR Nydekore: Alright SCP-939-02, thank you for your time. *1 This answer had confused me. I was hoping to ask about this, I was always perplexed as to why SCP-939 instances hunger, seemingly without purpose. I was cautiously joyful that SCP-939-02 had led the conversation this way. ---------------------------ENDLOG------------------------------- Conclusion: SCP-939 instances, along with all other SCPs, are weird phenomena. Their lack of digestive track would suggest that they need not eat. However, SCP-939 demonstrates advanced hunting tactics and is one of the most ravenous creatures known by the facility. I expected going in that SCP-939 would be intelligent enough to respond and thankfully it was. However, it seems to also hold a sinister nature to it, killing not for survival, but for sport. SCP-939 is a highly deadly and wicked creature. While I was hoping to understand the creature better, I would be lying to say that I wasn't shaken by what the creature said.

  18. Name: Nydekore Rank: Senior Researcher SCPs: SCP-682 and SCP-035 (Permission granted by Recon and Starstep) Question / Idea: Could SCP-035 cause the corrosion of SCP-682's brain, rendering him brain dead? Background Research: SCP-035 has expressed interest in a host such as SCP-682 before. This is worrying, however also fascinating as despite SCP-035 being in the 99th percentile of intelligence based on human standards, it seems to believe it would actually be able to kill SCP-682's brain and control his body. It knows its own ability far more than anyone here at the Foundation does, thus I believed it would be worth a shot, seeing as SCP-682 is a massive threat to humanity, an absolute menace of a creature, one of few SCPs that is deemed to be better off Terminated. Any measure that can be taken to rid ourselves of SCP-682's presence is well worth it so long as it can be safely attempted. Hypothesis: While I believe SCP-035 to be powerful, SCP-682 is often too able to adapt to its threats. I believe this case to be no different and 682 is likely to avoid any attempt at having its brain corroded. Even so, I believe it is necessary to explore every path to removing 682 from this world. Observations (What Happened During Test): The challenges faced to get this done safely were many in number. First, specialized MTF units fitted with anti-brainwashing technology had to be used to transport SCP-035-1 to SCP-682's Containment Cell. Next, SCP-035-1 had to be forced inside of SCP-682's acidic pool. Finally, extensive monitoring had to occur for the entire duration of the test. Any event which could cause an unsafe environment or a breach would result in the termination of SCP-035-1 and the incapacitation of SCP-682. As SCP-035-1 entered, the host fell dead. However, as it fell lifelessly to the ground, it had forced itself into a range which would compel SCP-682 to put SCP-035 on. As it was put on SCP-682, the reptile immediately showed signs of pain and hinderance to brain function. Brain waves slowed rapidly as the corrosion found its way to the center of the skull of SCP-682. It brought me no small joy to see such a thing, though it was very intriguing to see such damage done to SCP-682 as it has shown itself to be a very difficult opponent, being the only creature to survive seeing SCP-096's face, being capable of withstanding entire battalions of MTF units, amongst many other feats, and yet this simple mask seemed to have done it in. The light began to drain from SCP-682's eyes. It's brain waves were nearly flattened, what was visible of its face seemed to be in terrible pain. I was about ready to deal with SCP-035 having complete control over SCP-682's body, seeing what new tests could be performed, getting ready to deal with the possibility that SCP-035 may have been given SCP-682's ability to evolve to fit its needs. That's when I saw something extraordinary. Using a specialized long range X Ray Scanner, I was able to view as from SCP-682's brain two tumors began to sprout on either side. Once they each reached the same mass as half of SCP-682's brain, the spot on its face where SCP-035 was placed began to burn off, 682's brain liquified in the process. SCP-035 rattled on the floor. I had seen enough and ordered the MTF units to fire on SCP-682, incapacitating it after about three thousand rounds of bullets. SCP-035 was removed from the containment cell and placed back within its own holding chamber once more. I watched as the two halved copies of SCP-682's brain reformed into one as it regained both its consciousness and the burnt off part of its face over the course of about two hours. Analysis / Conclusion (What Could Have Caused The Results): SCP-682 is known for being a highly evolved lifeform, one capable of evolving in a flash to survive. This is just another instance of it doing so. Was Your Hypothesis Correct?: My hypothesis was correct, SCP-682 was able to evolve beyond the control SCP-035 attempted to have over it. It seems that SCP-035 was simply overconfident about its ability to control such a host like SCP-682.
  19. Your Rank and Name: Senior Researcher Nydekore Why do you believe you should be accepted into the Hazardous Materials Research division? (75 word requirement): Hazardous material researchers are able to delve deeper into the world of more biologically hazardous SCP subjects. I want to be able to delve into these SCPs harder. Additionally, I am a senior researcher as well and an RRA (I became one before I became SR so I wasn't forced into it) so I am currently taking on many responsibilities already and one would be hard pressed to find any major mistake I've made on the research team. I am very capable of handling this role. Provide links to the documents you have produced on biologically hazardous SCPs: https://gaminglight.com/forums/topic/74921-scp-096s-immunol-ability/ (studies the effects of SCP-008 on SCP-096)
  20. Name: Nydekore Rank: Senior Researcher SCP: SCP-096 and SCP-008 Question / Idea: SCP-096 is a humanoid SCP. It stands to reason that most humanoid entities have similar immune responses to those of humans. Thus, SCP-096 may have white blood cells to attempt to combat infections such as SCP-008. Background Research: SCP-096, despite being humanoid, is also very much a ways away from being terminatable. It has survived many scenarios in which it should have been damaged or killed without a scratch. Thus, I believe it should not succumb to the death that usually follows infection from SCP-008. Hypothesis: I hypothesize that SCP-096 will not be infected by SCP-008. Its immune system is likely far greater than a human's. Additionally, if it is initially compromised by illness, I suspect that it will fight off the infection. Observations (What Happened During Test): Along with an MTF Nu7 Unit, I escorted SCP-096 into SCP-008's containment chamber. Upon the release of the disease, SCP-096 showed no obvious signs of infection. A small skin sample was taken for examination in the Medical Bay. This sample lacked any SCP-008 prions. It seems that SCP-096 is immunized to SCP-008's effects. Evidence/Visual Stimuli: Photo evidence was not submitted for approval to [REDACTED], thus assumed unsafe due to the nature of SCP-096. Analysis / Conclusion (What Could Of Caused The Results): SCP-096 is known to be highly indestructible, which could imply some sort of regenerative ability. This regeneration probably also relies on bone marrow, which also creates white blood cells. The extreme amount of power SCP-096's bone marrow holds could likely mean that white blood cells are created at a rate a human never could. This could mean that SCP-008 has no fighting chance against SCP-096's immune system. Was Your Hypothesis Correct?: My hypothesis was correct, SCP-096 was unaffected by this disease.
  21. Steam Name: Nydekore Ingame Name: Nydekore (MTF Nu7 PFC/EXP Researcher) SteamID: STEAM_0:1:114460542 Ban Length: N/A (Warn) Admin that Banned you: Warn not ban but Nenea Reason for Ban: Avoiding FearRP Dispute: I have attached a clip, I admit now that I should've been under FearRp, however I hope that you can see how I would not know about this. As I enter the elevator room, I have a grenade in hand. I see in front of me two people with heavy weapons out in front of me, another holding a pistol. What I did not know at this time was that there was a guy with a shotgun to my right as I had run in. Therefore, to my knowledge at that point (and throughout the whole clip, I hadn't seen this guy sitting there until I watched my replay) the requirements for FearRP were not met until after I had thrown the grenade, which put me into active combat. Once I had thrown the grenade I was actively fighting so when I did finally know about the full force CI had on me I was immune to FearRP. During the sit I was put in by Nenea, he had seen the CI's side which I am sure show's everything in a clear light as to why I should have been put into FearRp and I am unafraid to admit that I should've been, however I would argue I shouldn't be warned for it considering that from my POV it seemed like that was not the case and thus I had fought until death. It was a very hectic situation so I had not seen clearly and while I agree it was unfair to the CI that I did not adjust my play to their FearRP, I had reason to believe this was not the case. I am usually not a rule breaker, this is currently my only warning with I believe only one other sit called on me which was for a rule I was unaware of and I had been following higher ups in taking part, the staff who pulled me into that sit had given me a verbal warning about that rule. I had even had a similar thing (to what got me a verbal warning) happen to me prior, however I had not reported the MTF who did it as I thought they were in the right. I would wager that usually people wouldn't appeal a single warning. However I would hate to have a blemish on my record for something like this, a genuine confusion, when usually fellow players would have nothing negative to say about me.
  22. Lore Name: Nydekore Rank: Associate Researcher SCP: 049 and 1025 Question / Idea: Due to the fact that 049 has "The Cure" to a disease the foundation has not yet been able to discover the validity of, I tested if he were, himself, immune to the diseases that ail humans. Background Research: 1025 is an encyclopedia of all known diseases. Upon reading these entries an organism will begin to exhibit the symptoms of any disease they had read about. This makes it the perfect SCP to test SCP-049's immune system. If he were to fall ill we would know that he is indeed capable of becoming infected himself. If he were to not procure an illness through these means, the nature of SCP-1025 would indicate that he is incapable of becoming ill. Hypothesis: SCP-049 is a humanoid SCP subject with a human-like skeletal/organic structure underneath his garments and mask. While he is very much knowledgeable about illnesses, its unlikely that any sort of "cure" he has could work pro-actively to prevent illness from reaching him, nor could it likely cure him afterwards. Therefore, my hypothesis is that SCP-049 will be able to contract disease. Observations (What Happened During Test): SCP-049, though he was originally given a page on common cold, scolded myself and Rig Unit 3531 for thinking "so little of him" and then went on to read an entry on lung cancer. Within minutes of this study, SCP-049 was shown through X ray evidence to have a small tumor on his left lung. Medical staff were alerted and SCP 049 should make a quick and smooth recovery. Analysis / Conclusion (What Could Of Caused The Results): As my hypothesis foretold, despite SCP-049 seeming to be a master of cures, he is not immune to disease and can contract diseases in the same way a human can (though the face mask may prevent 049 from becoming ill as easily). Was Your Hypothesis Correct?: My hypothesis was correct. SCP-049 is able to become ill through anomalous means. Further testing will be conducted to see if SCP-049 can contract diseases through other means such as exposure to various bacteria and viruses.
