  2. Uh hey, so unfortunately by the title this is my resignation from GamingLight’s Imperial RP for RP, GM and staff. To clear up any confusion about my resignation in total, I had no intent of leaving the server, leaving anything unsaid or undone or leaving those in the dust. Within the most recent week and as of a couple days ago my at home situation has taken a turn for the worse in terms of my families security and health. Its not something I wish to go into detail of but I’d like for it to be know that my resignation is not a decision of me not wanting to be involved anymore with the community but is a call for me to take action of what's most important in my life despite my absolute love for garry's mod, this server, its content and the amazing people it has to offer. Having been on this server for just under 11 months, I would like to say thank you to the so so many people that have made an amazing impact on me for the better of who I am as a person and what I had to offer to the server along the way, regardless of how things may be now as a result of it, I thank you. In terms of special mentions. I will not be going into any detail at this time. Thank you to everyone who was with me along the way. If there is one take away I would love for you guys to do, is to make sure that you enjoy what you are doing and take your time doing it. I'll see you guys around?

  14. With the recent update to Starfighters in the following post there have been some issues with Starfighters and their jobs that need addressing. 1. The first issue is the ship that is implemented on the Starfighter Cobra Squadron job. This job can spawn an Imperial Gunship ( lunasflightschool_niksacokica_laat_le_imperial_gunship ) which is not the desired ship and needs to be removed. The desired ship that needs to be added is the Imperial Troop Transport ( lfs_imperial_transport ). 2. The second issue would be the entire battalion's ability to whitelist. With the addition of the jobs it seems as if the whitelist's privileges are messed up and restricted. Starfighters job whitelisting privileges should be as follows: Starfighter Marshall: Captain, Officer, NCO, Cobra Squad, Gladius Squadron, Enlisted, Ground Armor, Cadet Starfighter Vice Marshal: Captain, Officer, NCO, Cobra Squad, Gladius Squadron, Enlisted, Ground Armor, Cadet Starfighter Captain: Officer, NCO, CobraSquad, GladiusSquadron, Enlisted, GroundArmor, Cadet Starfighter Officer: NCO, CobraSquad, GladiusSquadron, Enlisted, GroundArmor, Cadet Starfighter NCO: N/A Starfighter: Cobra Squadron: N/A Starfighter: Gladius Squadron: N/A Starfighter Enlisted: N/A Starfighter Ground Armor: N/A Starfighter Cadet: N/A *Some names have been shortened to make the list easier to read (IE. Starfighter Captain > Captain) This is at a moderate priority to get done as the ship causes issues with skills, is not LFS (making it prone to additional problems), is a ship that belongs to a CC's class (to my knowledge) and is not practical/makes no sense for a Starfighter to use. The sooner the follow fix is implemented the sooner the Starfighters can be back up in the air and doing what they usually do.
  15. 1. What is your current IGN? (In Game Name): (High Admiral) Seaman. 2. What rank are you applying for? Grand Admiral Thrawn. 3. Why do you want to become the position of Grand Admiral Thrawn? I would like to become the rank of Grand Admiral Thrawn for the main reason of being able to expand my wings, responsibility and reach out to all sectors and battalions on the server (That obviously being IQ, Army and Naval). This large responsibility and overview over all battalions would allow quick executive decisions to be made alongside their command teams and high command members for both command and player benefit. The most important aspect for any battalion is activity and player enjoyment and interaction. After all, who wouldn't want all battalions to have a ton of players and having fun? As Grand Admiral Thrawn, I would help find and approve updates and issues within command, making all commanders' many jobs easier which in turn will result in more 1 on 1 time with their battalion. In instances where a command team may be weak or missing, I would do what the situation deems best and work hard to make ends meet. All of this mentioned above would apply for both regular Battalion Command and High Command, ultimately increasing the amount of interactions, familiarity, respect and amusement for the battalions across all sectors. 4. How much game time do you have on the server? I currently have 18 weeks on the server according to the TAB menu in game. According to BattleMetrics I have around 3100 hours. I do not and have not spent any time on any other GMOD server as I know everything I’m looking for is here on our Imperial RP. My BattleMetrics: https://www.battlemetrics.com/players/894415512 5. What do you think is the main purpose of Grand Admiral Thrawn? I know the main purpose of GAT is to use their influence over all sectors to assist and guide battalion and high command in making their decisions regarding battalion updates, promotions and consequences. Being as GAT is the first member (And in most instances, the only member) of SNR High Command they would serve to make quick definitive decisions that do not show bias and benefits the most people as possible. GAT also exists to keep a standard and the entirety of the current High Command in check and place both through activity, placement and maturity, this could be done through simple evaluations and by providing assignments. 6. Why should we trust you to be Imperial Senior High Command? : I should be trusted with SNR HCOM for a multitude of reasons. The first one being the amount of time I’ve spent on the server. All though not every waking moment goes into being online and active on my RP job, a lot of time and energy went into behind the scenes and work that isnt necessarily noticed right away. This is most prominently seen with my most recent promotion to Assistant Head Game Master, a leading rank of the game master team that shows consistency and dedication to the server unlike no other. This shows my deep care for the server as a whole as outside of my position from High Command I take a large value to the experience the player base is having and that they are reaching their entertainment through events. Reaching this rank shows commitment, hardship and patience. Secondly would be my story to the rank I hold currently. Before transferring to Naval (And then becoming Navy High Command), I was in Starfighters and back then they had a full command team and amazing activity. I held out within the battalion as a member of its command for an insanely long time at around 4 months without a single day of LOA. During this period, SF had broken the server record (And still holds the record) for most concurrent players on any job within their battalion (at 33!) clearly showing that any command team that I work with are highly capable and successful when put together. The last reason for me to be trusted as Grand Admiral Thrawn would be the large scale Navy missions that I have been hosting about every week for the last few months. What started as only assistant GM thing for me had become a series of my own missions that I have hosted (almost) every weekend for all Navy battalions to join in and have fun which include their own stories and detailed mission objectives that I have created for Navy battalions to enjoy which require a lot of preparation and planning. These missions alone have influenced many other members of Command to start doing missions of their own for their own troops and are managed in a similar manner. 7. How often can you be Online? : I can be and am on the server for at the very least 2 or 3 hours a day to keep up with all things on the related to RP or not. In instances where I can not be on the server I keep a constant eye on the discord servers and am available from 10am to 9pm EST regarding appropriate concerns. 8. If you was to get Grand Admiral Thrawn, what would be 3 changes you will make and why? (In detail please) Its hard to say what my 3 instantaneous changes to all battalions and RP on the server would be, although a lot of issues and problems can be overcome via change, tuning and adjustment, I feel that most importantly and obviously firstly a large assessment and viewing of all battalions would be crucial first, seeing or finding an issue seen in full at that point may change my 3 current implementations especially as most issues take some time fix. With that in mind my first action would be to essentially have a universal check up and assessment. Checking activity of battalions and their command, what they are doing, how they are acting and if they are being effective would be essential, (Some major problems which I can tell already will not be mentioned here on public forums!). From there I would move into SOPS and documents, ensuring they are up to date, effective, composed correctly and efficient. Doing so would allow creation of assignments and the creation of stepping stones towards success. This in total would be the first change and would include a revision followed by the removal and additions of those that need to be addressed. Secondly, after and during the assurance that all things within battalions across all sectors are up to date and correct I would push for the change of uniformity across all battalions. This would mean and show that all battalions would follow the exact same procedure, guidelines, and looks. To clarify what this statement entails, several battalions have different looking functions, pinned messages, information channels or rosters. Making all information that is already quite scattered and difficult to find in some instances unfamiliar / non user friendly to users who need to follow along and are unfamiliar. For example our current rosters for the most part all have the same look yet there are some which have conflicting appearances. This change would most commonly find its effectiveness and contingency in the discord servers. Finally as a last change I would move to assist battalions that are currently going through difficult times of activity on the server. This would mainly entail to battalions like Havoc, 501st and Death-Troopers who have been having occasional spotty activity despite their command and officers best efforts towards the problem. A battalion update regarding them would be needed and would happen. Specifics for each battalion would differ but for example: Havoc to assist activity could undergo a battalion update that would provide more things for Havoc to do while onboard, this could be done through additional equipment and vehicles being added to the server, adding new procedures that increase RP value and provide more things to do in boring instances that involve unseen or completely exclusive things. 9. Do you have any RECENT Warnings? (What for?) : I have never received a warning.
  16. In-game name: Seaman SteamID: STEAM_0:0:159463383 Current RP rank on StarWarsRP: Fleet Admiral Gallius Rax. How long have you been Gamemaster: I have been a Gamemaster since May 8th 2021 (6 months) and a Senior Gamemaster since August 20th 2021 (2 1/2 months). Have you received any strikes (please give reasons if applicable): I have never received a strike both in the Gamemaster Team and any RP job or team I’ve been in. How much time do you have on the server?: On the Tab menu in game it says I have 17 weeks. According to battle metrics I'm just under 3k at 2912 hours on GL Imperial RP. My Battlemetrics: https://www.battlemetrics.com/players/894415512 How well do you know the LORE? Personally my knowledge on lore has increased a great amount from and since becoming a gamemaster. From what was once a moderate knowledge on my first GM application months ago has turned into an Intermediate/Advanced knowledge. I have watched all of the original Star Wars Episode Movies and likely will be getting into Clone Wars and occasionally do research regarding certain characters or stories for possible events or battalion updates. Regardless of my current understanding whenever there is something I'm unsure about I have always and will do my research regarding the topic using credible sources. Why do you WANT to become a Assistant Head Gamemaster: I would like to become AHGM as the GM team is something I aspire to be a part of, lead, and constantly improve and assist. From being there to help and have fun with fellow GMs to being able to help the community on the server by providing continuous and high quality events to bring and keep players of new and old from all over the world. Personally, I would like to create additional tutorials and infographics regarding certain tools and their tips and tricks as well as constantly tweaking and adding quality of life aspects for the entire GM team. Why should you be trusted to be a Assistant Head Gamemaster?: I should be trusted with AHGM as I personally think I have a good reputation within the community as a whole both in and out of RP and even more so with the GMs. I have been a SGM for almost 3 months now and have had 0 issues with getting what's asked done on time and in an orderly fashion. I have also never gotten in trouble/created issues on and off the server. With my RP rank being a member of High Command, I have already reached a significant amount of trust with other command members and staff and have not abused the permissions/powers I have from being High Command. On top of that I was given Gamemaster of the month for the month of August which proves both my dedication to our team and my ability to do events properly and effectively! Have you mastered ULX?: As stated in my SGM application, I think I have already mastered ULX and what is capable with it. I always try to incorporate as many tools as possible during events that make sense and will require the least amount of work and will create the least amount of lag. Tool usage and moderation of them are very important to secure immersion and minimized lag, improper usage can simply remove one or both from any event. Are you experienced with planning Mega Events?: Yes I'm experienced with planning MEGA events. I have hosted 7 since becoming a SGM, 4 which have been storyline events which require more planning and preparation. I have always made sure these events are hosted at the best times and will run ideally with the player count that is projected to happen on the server. Personally, I have no issues hosting or doing Mega events, the only problem can be finding an appropriate time or getting trusted actors which is a common underlying issue for ANY GM with events like this. Give an example of a mega event: The Example I will give is my most recent already done Mega Storyline event, titled “An Evening on Endor”. The event starts off how a typical off-ship event happens where an ISB comes aboard the ISD with codes and a VTOL and alerts everyone about an important hangar on Endor where Han Solo and Princess Leia are remaining for the night (5/10 mins). With the ISD’s troops deploying on the planet they move to intercept the 2 lovers and their crew while fighting the rebels who are with them. The battle would remain on Endor until eventually Princess Leia would be captured by the Imperials, where Han Solo and Chewbacca would be forced to evacuate (20 mins). At that point Leia would be brought aboard the ISD and detained within the brig to be detained and questioned. While this is happening Han Solo would go fetch Lando Calrissian for the favor he owes Han and gets Lando’s additional troops to go to the ISD to attack the ISD and free Leia (5/10 mins). The remaining part of the event would be onboard where Han and Lando,as well as all the rebels, would attack the ISD for some time to prepare and allow troops to settle onboard (20 mins). As a final push they would target where Leia is being held (most likely brig). Provided the assault is successful a ship would appear near MHB to allow ALL the heroes to escape from the ISD. If in any instance the Heroes were unsuccessful, any uncaptured heroes would be forced to leave without Leia and other captives in the same fashion (10 mins). In order to get Leia out of an RP situation provided she was still onboard an ISB would come aboard to extract and move Leia to a more remote and secure location via a VTOL. (Additional 5/10 mins). - Overall this reaches and surpasses the standards of a MEGA event as it reaches the required length (This event can go for about 50-70 minutes). has notable characters and appears in 2 ‘maps’ for players to be in. How active can you be: I'm on everyday for several hours as that is expected for me within my RP life and never go on any LOA/ROAs unless directly needed. As per always, Thank you for taking the time to read my application and the stuff I post. Please leave any comments or concerns regarding the application and the consideration of me becoming the AHGM.
  17. This... This hits different and is true as all hell! See you around!
  18. See you Dank. Gonna miss smoking that Wookie Kush and having some good laughs! Please visit!
  19. Fleet Admiral Whitelists Suggestion What do you want to see?: Currently the Fleet Admiral Gallius Rax Job is not able to whitelist for any battalion besides Naval. Personally, along with the approval of NHC, it seems appropriate and would be a quality of life improvement for the job to be able to whitelist all jobs of Navy battalions (Except Commander) considering that is the promotion limit. Why should we add it?: Adding the ability to whitelist players is crucial when doing promotions and makes training players easier. This would have no effect on server performance and there shouldn't be an issue regarding trust/abusing any jobs as High Command are already trusted members and should not be having those issues. What are the advantages of having this?: Besides convenience and simplicity of promoting and training players there are no other advantages. However on the same note there are no notable disadvantages. Who is it mainly for?: For who ever uses the Fleet Admiral Gallius Rax job and isn't able to provide the required whitelists as they are not a part of the staff team or a high enough staff rank. Links to any content: N/A Naval Jobs whitelisting ability - None needed DT Jobs whitelisting ability - ALL jobs EXCEPT DT Commander, DT Unit TI-23 [T2] SF Jobs whitelisting ability - ALL jobs EXCEPT SF Marshall IF Jobs whitelisting ability - ALL jobs EXCEPT Iden Versio, Close Quarters Combat Specialist [T3] ~Thank you for taking the time to look at this suggestion, please share a comment/opinion below!
  20. Personally I've noticed that within the brig, there is a simple way to get out, provided the cell doors are open and there are 2 people. From what I believe the area within the middle is designed to have those detained the privilege to go the middle and socialize which means the doors may be opened. I don't know how the brig is currently running and if threats of jailbreaks are common. What would you like to see: Perhaps some sort of railing, grate, shield or clear barriers would be beneficial to keep those in the brig. This would prevent players from being able to stand on each others' heads to jump out. How would it help the server and/or the player base: This will mainly help Shock on a direct level and the entirely of the ship on a indirect level Do you think this suggestion will help the server as a whole: Preventing jailbreaks will make it easier for Shock to maintain and will prevent ongoing minging, rule breaking and tomfoolery to remain away from those are actually wishing to RP and remain on task Clip that entails what I mean: https://medal.tv/clips/66599200/d1337CDJ1NLG?invite=cr-MSx3UzIsMTgyMjk5ODcs Again, personally I have not seen the current flow and function of the brig so opinions and comments are appreciated!
  21. Personally I prefer the following names: Cruiser Cain (CC) , The Navigator (CTN) , SS Bishop (SSB), Cruiser Nightingale (CNG), Cruiser Pandora (CPD) However some cool ones I've seen in the comments are: Adjudicator, Manticore and Sojourner
