  1. I can see both sides of this coin, he is over the line that blatantly states “KOS past this point” but he’s not yet in PCP it seems something should be done to make the point of KOS a little more clear.
  2. In-Game Name: Memphis Steam ID: STEAM_0:0:598678497 Current Research Rank: RA Foundation Test Log(s) (graded 8+/10 only): (I haven't had any graded as of yet) Your Operations Advisor Overseer, has informed you there is a group of insurgents collecting foundation data at a field operating base on the surface. They are armed and well secured. How would you approach it? (100+ words): Locate the suspected groups forward operation base, as well as the entry points of said site. Maintain distance and silence as much as possible. Approach the suspected F.O.B maintaining a suitable distance, observe opfor for patrol patterns, gaps in security, etc. Make a plan for entry, exit as well as any noting anything that could go wrong and seek remedy for said flaws. Finally, when all is well-planned and there is a break in security for raids or simply a patrol gap, approach the site, move in, see about recovering data, or any other foundation data as well as future plans for the GOI, etc. imperative to the mission, and move out, report findings to higher ups, with proof in hand. There is a strange SCP that calls himself the “targeter”. When the name of another individual is said within earshot of the “targeter” the “targeter” will teleport to the individual that has had their name said and run off. How would you suggest the foundation approach apprehension and / or termination of this individual? (100+ Words): I suspect the best way would be a baited trap. Much like a rat, the targeter will teleport near the individual with their name said, so one should say the name of a designated individual acting as the bait for the trap within earshot of the targeter, with a heavy, hidden and well-armed force just out of eyesight of the individual, upon spotting the anomaly, a code word, being predetermined should be sounded, signaling the force to move in and attempt restrain. If the targeter attempts to run or is otherwise hostile the newly unveiled fireteam should exceed the amount of force the SCP presents. Upon the subduement of the targeter he should be fitted with headphones, loudly playing white noise to limit his hearing. An abandoned camp site has been discovered on the surface, hidden incredibly well within the brush. There are documents, newspaper scraps, as well as an old laptop with unknown data being transferred to a suspicious I.P. address. How do you react? (100+ Words): Assuming I've located the site, noted and reported my position, and have a fairly accurate knowledge that the site is in fact abandoned, I would begin by photographing the site, taking note of any and everything of importance, as well as an inventory of all feasible evidence on site. I would sift through the documents to look for anything that is imperative for myself to report, such as anomalous news, GOI information, or otherwise anything with sensitive information would be grand. Then I would begin collecting my evidence in bags suitable for anomalous objects, for safety purpose. The computer, is simple enough, a few photographs, paired with an empty USB flash drive would allow me to have a physical view of the computer's data, so if corruption occurs during transfer to the USB device, I have a reference to go by. The IP address can and should be traced to locate secondary site which will open up more than previously believed to further future investigation. After the device is copied, collect the computer, storing it in a faraday bag to prevent electro-magnetic manipulation, return to base, and report my evidence and findings. Secure. Contain. Protect.
  3. -support while I appreciate all that you do in the 501st, I just don’t think you’re quite ready. You have been a fantastic trooper overall, but that’s just it. You haven’t really shown that you’re ready to be an officer, to me anyway. now on question number one, you wrote a sizable paragraph, however your wording is a little redundant, and while not too important, your grammar was off. A wise man once told me you are only as good a candidate as your application looks. This one is bland, and formatting is inconsistent. For question number two your answer was vague but to the point. However it’s important you realize firstly that as an officer, your job is not only promotions but rather the policing of enlisted men, the morale of NCOs and quite a balancing act between who deserves a promotion and what we can afford at the moment. in the past, we all make mistakes, so I did my research and delved into a bit of your history of the ISDGL and you did have a ban for racism for an incident in /advert as well as voice chat and a supposed sound board around late February. When Name explained the situation you argued rather than accepted it, also notably refusing to follow the ban appeal format. For question number four, the only statement I have qualms with is the “making sure NCOs do trainings.” It’s easier said than done trust me. I try my hardest every week to make sure no one gets striked, but every week we have something that happens, whether it’s simple, like failure to adhere to roll call, or just not meeting quota. If you have an idea of how things can be run, bring it up. Officers can only improve on the system if we notice an error. If you notice an error in the operating procedure, point it out, and we will tell you why it’s done that way and work on some fixes from there! Overall I appreciate you as a person and a member of the 501st, but I want you to show me why you deserve to be an officer first. Words aren’t anything without action. “Acta non verba” which means “Acts, not words.” I may not support your application in the moment, but I’m extending a hand to you and asking you to prove me wrong, not as an insult, but a personal challenge. I want to see you, no matter where I am on the ship, running sims, plotting missions, doing patrols reigning one some of the wild folks we have, I want to see you showing myself, the command team, as well as your peers that you are the man for that job. Thank you for your time. 501st HVYAL MAJ Memphis 7861/ARC04 Pros: +active +great NCO Cons: -GREAT NCO -Racism incident -Seems to see this as black and white rather than practical -never made waves as a leader to myself, personally
  4. + All of my Support Floof is the epitome of a great candidate for vice commander. +Floof is easy to get along with and generally a great person. +Floof has exhibited great leadership skills both daily and with my short time enlisted in the Shock regiment All in all I would gladly give my personal recommendation on my name to Floof. Said candidate is a wonderful leader with a well-written application. The only downsides I see with the application is a lack of coloration, which isn't a disappointment by any means but rather a small gripe. all white gets boring haha. I personally find the confidence of the candidate to be a refreshing change from some of the others I have read. I also will never personally support an applicant with troves of leadership experience, due to the fact that those with no experience are often never given a shot when in reality they can make some amazing changes through a new perspective. It takes time and an amazing teacher like Zee to hold the new generation of commanders and vice commanders accountable for their own growth in knowledge and experience. I find that the authors willingness to take on ideas and concerns of the subordinates very excellent! Floof shows the know -how to properly delegate tasks through their writing by knowing when officers should grow to the challenge of leading a small but otherwise diverse group of (of course digital) troops! As for "The strongest sub battalion on the ISD" as a previous post mentioned, I firmly believe a healthy sense of pride and competition is great for results\, and well-deserved by any well-lead sub battalion, however I would challenge you to a 501st V Shock Heavy competition to challenge that theory. I will not even address the "medical incident" also brought up because you have not been in medical for an extremely long time, and I feel that people grow, and morph greatly. Its been a while, prove to us how much you've changed Current: 501st HVYAL CPT Memphis, TT Lead 7861, Apprentice II Memphis, Moderator Former: Shock PFC, TGM
  5. +support all around a very fun and professional character, I’ve had nothing but great experiences around Cannon, and if anyone deserves an officer rank from the 501st NCO corps it’s this fine gent!
  6. Questions 1. What is your IGN? (In Game Name) : Memphis 2. What Regiment are you applying for? 501st 3. Why do you want to be a commander of this branch? The 501st was my first ever regiment on Gaminglight, and I am genuinely in love with the battalion. Some of the most amazing people I have met call the 501st home, and it truly is an honor to be considered a peer to such an astounding group of people. I would like to become a Vice commander to become the right hand of the command team I know and respect, to assist in duties mundane or thrilling, the 501st offered an opportunity to find somewhere I actually manage to fit in on the server, I would like to be a part of extending that olive branch to the future generations of the battalion. I have an innate passion to see our regiment thrive and flourish under the proper leadership, and I firmly believe in becoming vice commander I can be the most effective in my duties, and provide a helping hand to the command team in the most effective way I can. With the surge of incoming recruits with the dissolution of Havoc I realize and understand that we need another competent vice commander to ensure that the swelling ranks are never an impediment, but rather a well-oiled machine capable of reaching any objective no matter the obstacles or distance. I have personally attempted to the hardest of my ability to become a level-headed, supportive, functional member of the battalion that produces results I would be proud to present to any member of High Command or my command team alike. I started as a private in December of 2021 and continued through the enlisted ranks, soon finding myself toward the spearhead of the chain of command due to my accomplishments, as a captain and Heavy assistant lead. I have trained quite a few members of the 501st, both upon entrance and for our heavy sub-battalion. many of which I would say I have grown quite close to, producing a major sense of cooperation between them and myself as well as the enlisted I have had the pleasure worked along side. I have loved every second of whatever command position I have been in and the challenge that comes with that territory, from the ground command role to being one of two Heavy Assistant Leads in the 501st! Regardless of your decision, I feel as if there is truly only so much to grow in what position you are granted until you have to seek expansion elsewhere and I have reached the point where I wish to expand once more to grow in knowledge and understanding in the innerworkings of the mechanisms of a successful battalion through the well-informed command team of the 501st. Thank you for your time and consideration. 4. How much game time do you have on the server? I have around 6 months active on the server with around a year off and on playtime with 230:42 accumulated hours. Battlemetrics below https://www.battlemetrics.com/players/991445884 5. What is the Main Purpose of a commander for a branch? The commander is the backbone of a regiment, and provides support both to high command via crucial information via rosters, or simply keeping relevant material up-to-date as well as their subordinates, keeping battalions presentable, in check, and effective, genuinely just making certain everyone is meshing properly and the “family” is not dysfunctional, typically through the pruning of branches that do not belong, (such as Minges or individuals who simply cannot operate in their parameters and or struggle to pull their weight E.G. Failed Quotas) though as bitter as it may be . The vice commander is an extension of the commander themselves, assisting the Commander and Senior Commander in all aspects to lighten the load of the command team through effective communication, situational awareness, and simply the personal motivation to achieve set goals and strive to not only meet the expectation but go beyond, and perform more than what is expected. 6. Why should we trust you to be a commander?: I have grown significantly as a person from my first moments on the server to now, through my time with the 501st I've had the pleasure to work alongside some the best groups of people anyone could ask for, I have learned to trust them and they, me. I’ve been an officer for a few months, and have never had any infractions during my time as such, as well as the moderator team. I know that I am trustworthy due to my track record presenting me as such, with no server warns (meant for me, anyway) and no sub battalion or battalion warns/strikes! I have been in a few trust-based positions on the server, including Heavy assistant lead, and the moderation team. I do understand the hesitation of passing off trust, because if I am selected I am an extension of the selected party, and I strive to make sure the faith in me is well-placed, and not in vain. 7. How often can you be Online? : I can be online daily for 4 to 7+ hours (typically 0000-0700) on Tuesday, Wednesday, and the weekend, and all day on Mondays and Thursdays! as I’m going through a career shift I believe I can be on more often soon! 8. Do you have any Warnings? (What for?) : I do have an appealed warning for mic spam, the appeal has been accepted, as it was an accident by Odin! Proof below.
  7. +support! definitely seems like an eager candidate with a readiness to learn! With the proper training op would definitely be a great asset!
