Well first I would like to point out that every police department is different and trains differently. For example, some police departments who can not even afford tasers (yes this happened, and over half the police officers left the department because of it. Sadly I was unable to find the news story again.) should not compared be compared to the NYPD. Anyways, it depends on what happened prior to you arriving on scene. First you need to know that he is a threat to you or others. If the suspect runs towards you he becomes a threat to you and your life. This same principle applies if they are running away towards other people. It does not matter if they have a weapon or not, but rather if you had a reason to believe that he or she had or has a weapon on them. If you would like to know how this was determined in law, it is backed up by the fourth amendment and the most recent supreme court case, Tennesse v. Garner. If you would like to read more about this I will provide a link to the report of case. To quote the 4th Amendment: "The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized." Hello Gaminglight Community, I am sad to announce that we will not be continuing development of the FiveM server. This decision has been thought about for a few days now for a multitude of reasons. FiveM is not providing monitary value or growth potential to the community. Furthermore, we decided it would be worth more to the development of this community to put time, money, and effort into other servers. Hello Walrus, I would like to share and expound upon a few instances you failed to identify in your report. I will start by explaining the story from the beginning. Yesterday I joined Gaminglight's PoliceRP server between five or six pm eastern time. I had found a post I had sought, prior to this debacle, about making a Gaminglight flag. Reminded of this, I journeyed off to the apartment building across from spawn and began my work The materials I was using was a four by seven panel which I materialized as brick to blend in with the building and spray paint. In the midst of me beginning my project you spotted and sprinted, rather than approach in a civil manner, towards me. I heard clearly you howl the words "Hey! What are you doing?" tazing me immediately afterwards. I can understand how this could be seen as vandalism. However, I was not given the chance to explain and give reasoning for my actions as I was arrested and hurried off to the police station in the back of your patrol car. I am unsure what extenuating circumstances prevented you from just asking instead of just tazing and arresting me. Once we arrived at the police station I did type the words "I refuse to be arrested for a non rp reason!" and in a fit of anger and rage, I slayed myself. Yes; this is subjectively admin abuse and considerably unprofessional. I saw it only fit to be mature and address or admit to my wrong doings and sins but I can only hope that you would do the same as I.
