What are you suggesting? - Discontinuation of staff interviews. There have been many cases where questionable members of the community have been given staff titles. All of which obtained staff from interviews. Lately, staff have been in the spot light, and not in a good way. So we need to crack down who gets staff and how. I've seen many people say, "I wanna be staff but don't wanna make an application. So I'll just wait for interviews." People are being conditioned to make less effort to be staff because it's easier to get accepted when you go to interviews and this is why it always ends up bad. People with no experience or rep will nail the interview, only to get removed and restricted days later. It's harder to get accepted through the application process because your credentials are in plain sight. People can look into your profile and see how active you are, and punishment history. You have to also gain community support. I'm not saying the HOS or HA have been making bad decisions, but have had incorrect judgments of people because they were given what they wanted to hear. For those that would use the argument, "Well, not enough people are applying so interviews are a faster way of getting staff." Yes, but have you thought they don't apply BECAUSE it's easier during interviews? If they know they will get denied because they're too new, they'll just go to an interview. Then boom, staff report, or loads of warn appeals for incorrect warns. If people cannot get staff the easy way, their only choice is to make the effort to apply. If they really want it, they'll do it. If they refuse to make the effort, then clearly they should not be staff because then how would they be trusted to make the sit quota. How would this change better the server? - More competent staff members being added with community support. Are there any disadvantages of making this change to the server? What is your ingame name?: Bean What is your SteamID: STEAM_0:1:221752061 What is your rank on the Naval Roster?: Rear Admiral What specialty are you applying for?: Medical Officer What Naval HC (Admiral +) gave you permission to apply?: Seaman What can you do to improve the branch you will be responsible for? I can improve this battalion by incentivizing activity within the Medical ranks. I would do this by hosting SIMs and trainings to make sure that every Medical is kept busy with passive RP, as that is one of the main things Medical specializes in. I would also host tryouts to make sure that there is a constant flow of new troops in the battalion. I feel I could contribute a lot to this battalion by advising both NCOs and Officers on what they are doing well, as well as what they could improve on to continue to climb through the ranks. Why should you be trusted with this position?: I feel as if I can be trusted with this position for a multitude of reasons. Firstly, I am pretty active and am normally on the server for at least a few hours everyday. Secondly, I have been in high ranking positions before and believe that has given me a lot of experience on what makes a battalion successful. And finally, with my experience comes plenty of knowledge on how the server works which would allow me to effectively advise both Officers and NCOs on what they can do to reach their max potential within Medical. Why do you want this rank?: I want this rank because out of all the battalions on the server, Medical is one of my favorites. I think that they currently have an amazing command team and Officer core and would love to help them make Medical the best battalion it can possibly be. I also really enjoy Medical passive RP and would love to run trainings with them so we can keep the battalion entertained and active. Do you understand that if you receive a strike you will be stripped of this rank?: Yes What is your purpose within your assigned branch?: My duty as a Medical Officer would be to assist in the overseeing of the Medical battalion. I would be tasked with running tryouts as well as trainings to keep the battalion active. I would also be tasked with running passive RP such as checkups and surgery to keep troops engaged as well as make sure all other Imperial troops are in good shape.1 point

He demanifested and I went to look for the entity when 2 Agents approached me, asking for SCP-1879's location. They promptly questioned SCP-1879 and attempted to get a D and or SCP-1424 to buy its product, this although failed. The agents requested me to LCZ Armory we're SCP-1879 had conjured SCP articles from our logs, these we're put back in our catalog. List classes of SCP(s) involved: SCP-1879. Immediate complications due to the incident: Not a lot of complications this time, nobody from what I remembered died this time. The only real issue was distracting me from my work. Long-term complications due to the incident (if applicable): No confirmed deaths at this time. Type of response towards incident (MTF/NTF/Security/ETC): Agent EX2 █████. Agent EX4 █████. HOMS █████. AHOME █████. (Main people, there's too many MTF to count) Resolution towards incident: Again, the issue was truly "resolved", SCP-1879 demanifested for the final time and hasn't been located since. How long have you been a member of GENSEC (roughly)?:I'd at least been in Security for two months but my last time before i resigned, it was three months 7. Do you promise that you will listen and respect your lower / higher rankings?: Yes i do indeed promise to listen/respect my lower ranking individuals as sometimes hints/tips from those lower can help someone stay on track if they start losing sight of the certain goal they are chasing after. 10. Why do you want to become a senior command member? (150 WORDS+): I want to become senior command to increase my influence/knowledge on the field. If i was to be SCMD, i would be able to supervise lieutenants on off meetings. My goal is to get LCMD comfortable with off meetings as i have seen that they're not used often. I was a former MAJ but i resigned. I want to redeem myself as i was not be able to do what i could have done. family and school issues piled up and as a result, i had to leave but it is better and i feel more than confident enough to apply for SCMD. I have previous leading skills as an HFTO but i don't feel as that counts as again, i wasn't HFTO long enough to make an impact but the skills i've learned from them have increased my skills and confidence. As a SCMD, i would be able to help pick WO's and increase/encourage more activity in LCMD for PT's and off meetings. i am also HOPO and take it very serious, i try to talk to other CMD members to see if they know what they want to do and if they can host it. I have my flaws yes but what CMD member doesn't have flaws, We're humans. But it's what we do with those flaws is what makes us who we are. I'm always wanting to hear what i did wrong and what i did right, i always talk to NCO's and ask if they have any questions before i leave for the night. Part of LCMD job is to help NCO's and if i get SCMD, i can help LCMD and the rest of GENSEC. My goal is to help gensec to the best of my abilities and the first step to that is to get SCMD and to help better GENSEC. 11. What would you do if a Security Officer was constantly leaving D Block?: Well first step, i would ask him to come with me to bunks. I'd ask him why he did it and the reason behind it. if he replies with a mingy response then i would give him a warning and put him on a DNP. But if he is dealing with IRL problems then i would tell him that even if it is irl problems that he should at least talk to an NCO+ about it so that we can work something out. If the security officer keeps walking out and minging and i've already put him on a DNP, then i would remove him as i do not deem him fit for security. 12. What would you do if an NCO kept on leaving d-block with terrible reasons?: I would tell the NCO that they shouldn't be leaving D-block constantly as NCO's are the one's enlisted look up to. I would tell them that if they see you do that then they would think it's okay too. If it is a repeated offense then i would strike them and put him on a DNP. if repeated after that then i would have to demote them it's a sad truth but some are just not ready for NCO. 13. What do you do if an E-11 private comes into d block and attempts to take command of all of the security?: First i would ask him who gave him perms to enter D-block. if he does not say anyone did then i would screenshot him being in D-block and talk to the nearest LCMD about his actions and ask if they can prevent this from happening again. If he has gotten perms to be in D-block then i would have him stand down if I or another CMD is in D-block as D-block is security's Duty to take over/control. 14. Explain the process of promoting a corporal to sergeant in your own words: The process of one moving to Corporal to sergeant is a simple but most important task as a CMD member. I would hand them the NCO guide and read it with them. I would then say "as an NCO, we'll be expecting you to call binds and help enlisted to be behind barricades". I would also tell them that they can call binds on orange and block and down instead of just only being able to call them on code red. I would also tell them that when it comes to promotions, they they would need to show leadership, activity, and tending to researchers. Make sure that they are tending to them quickly and efficiently. I would tell them that they are eligible for sniper and the FTO program. I would rather them take their time instead of joining FTO right away as it would help them balance stuff and not overload them with responsibilities. So when i go over FTO, i would ask them "do you want to join the FTO program, it's fine if you don't want to". If they so no then i would say that it's fine but if they say yes then i would train them. I would also tell them that they can go on patrols and that it would be better if they went on patrols without asking. After the training, i would then give them the whitelists and dismiss them while i am logging the promotion.1 point

What are you suggesting? - Doubling CI's current raid timer from 10 minutes to 20 minutes. However, if a senior CI rank is online (this can be discussed), then the timer can go down to 15 minutes. How would this change better the server? - It would give some breathing room for those who want to focus more on roleplaying as opposed to constantly shooting it out. Are there any disadvantages of making this change to the server? If so, explain. - People enjoy a good shootout and I can definitely see discontent arising from their corner. Who would this change mostly benefit? - Research and GENSEC staff, who often bear the brunt of CI's raids. GENSEC directly because they die over and over, and Research indirectly because they aren't able to carry out their tests. Look, I'm not opposed to the idea of people shooting at each other in a roleplay server. Garry's Mod is based off of Half Life 2, which is an FPS. Everybody enjoys a shootout. However, 10 minutes is ridiculous.1 point

A decent chunk of what you learn as a staff member typically comes from first-hand experience while handling situations. All humans make mistakes, all of us here are human, and we all make mistakes from time to time. None of us are perfect, and we generally learn stuff from our seniors at the time when watching them handle the more-difficult situations. Most of the staff training explains basic situation handling and general rules and expectations. We cannot go over everything that you'll ever encounter as a staff member, so we go over the basics and allow for staff to make their own judgement based off of those general expectations that are given during the training. Along with that, if you ever catch a staff member abusing their powers, which in this circumstance, would be the point where you mentioned them randomly picking people up. You may always report them on the forums with of course the evidence that is needed. If found sufficient, the staff member will be punished for abuse and the sorts. Despite me having former experience as a Senior Administrator on a different DarkRP server, a decent chunk of the staffing guidelines and regulations were different here as they mostly are with different communities. It takes a bit to get the hang of everything. However, a decent amount of the experience I had gained there assisted me in my staff duties on the server here. Overall though, a lot of people here are rookies to staffing, and a larger chunk has experience elsewhere. Different staffing guidelines and expectations greatly affect situations like this, as some staff members may have used different logging systems, or other addons in terms of how the server works especially on the staff-side of things. Finally, if you have any particular suggestions you'd like to make that you think may help with the points you've listed in this post, I'd highly recommend posting them under the Suggestions section of the forums. Feedback from the community is always listened to, and a decent portion of what the servers are now came from community-made suggestions.1 point

Again, Cloaker is the staff member here. He's held to a much higher standard. I appreciate that you are seeing things a lot more clearer than others, though we can't fall into the 'boys will be boys' trope and let a staff member slide by like this. The posts in here just prove the report - Yato, whom Cloaker has said he agrees with on this subject, is calling Zombinator out for nothing more than having a difference of opinion than him on a number of subjects, and then for the great sin of posting suggestions he also disagrees with. Then Yato is willing to go to such lengths to discredit Zombinator, he outright fabricates a story about him insulting a guy OOCly with a misleadingly out of context clip.1 point

Toxic comment? I literally pointed all the BIAS you keep pushing out against CI. You don't believe me? Look back at your 2 suggestions that were clearly targeted against CI so you could get the branch to do less and less in the foundation. Stop getting mad for the fact that we raid, it's fully within lore and RP. And the fact that you got so much - reps is because people found your suggestions to be bad. Also if we talk about toxicity, lets talk about that time you were with 912 at gate A. We killed you. You said something and Ignis pointed out that it wasn't funny and you proceeded to call him "Bald Fuck". YES, it is so annoying that we HOST d block raids just to be killed by them. And I always here the excuse "get good" but when you have new wave of Gensec/MTF plus d class coming and knifing you in the ass it gets quite annoying and really just makes Chaos not want to host d-block raids. +SUPPORT1 point

We come into the foundation with our only 1 life, kill foundation members into D block, start extracting D class out and 1 or 2 of them start killing us and the raid either gets wiped cuz of the 2 sided fire or we all get pretty low and have to take quite a while to heal back up. Don't know if I should say this but its also used as a way of targeting CI since people have personal grudges against the entire branch (which is childish).1 point

Activity, I'm on almost everyday since I joined (unless I need to go to work or on vacation), tryouts, SIM hosting, and overall maturity with leading? Kinda, will need to work on somethings but so far I'm good at doing a lot of tryouts. Though I don't have much I can always learn new things, and I'm pretty friendly with most people I meet, a bit weird since I do have a certain disability and I do mess up on my wording a lot, but that shouldn't affect much. - Why do you want to become an Officer? Polarity recommended that I should apply, decided to give it a chance since 501st is my only life, I can focus more into it, and it's a way to become more professional within' the server and battalion itself, like with leadership and everything that relates, and hosting SIM seems like a lot of fun for everyone involved, at least when there are more than 5 people active within the day. - What is the purpose/duty of an Officer? Follow all server rules, be a good role model, help out the Commanders or anyone higher than the rank you are now, make sure that everyone else in the battalion follows server rules, Enlisted and NCOs, overseer tryouts with NCOs that don't have the CERT and assist when needed, basically to be an authority figure to the extent of your current rank? Hosting sims once or more a week, along with 3 or more tryouts to gain new enlisted. Being diligent within' the battalion basically.1 point

Even if you are saving them, there is nothing saying they wouldn't have every roleplay reason not to terminate you once your back is turned. Doesn't make RP sense and just doesn't make for fun gameplay. You wanna constantly destroy the entire Foundation roleplay to break them out, you deserve the risk you take by trusting violent felons. I am actually black like grew up in the hood long ass dreads and all so I feel this was a mistake because of this fact alone for how could I be racist to black people when I am one of them also when I went to support I was treated like shit and my chats in the discord where deleted and my perms to chat in the discord where taken because I said the "no no word" and the staff got mad when I called one of them dumbass's for the dumb shit they said they said it don't matter that im black then deleted everything I should have taken a screenshot all im saying is I took a business class and I learned how to deal with upset people as a part of that class in the form of support for things like this and the way you guys handled me was simply fucked if this is how you treat your premium players who donate to such a cool server that very nice to know.
