This is an update that 501st Battalion Command and Myself have spent over a month working on, and as such I believe we have finally come to a very well rounded and beneficial update. Their current HP/armor amounts do not allow them to accurately follow Vader’s Orders, nor do these amounts make sense for a battalion you have to try out to join. Job/Class Name: 501st Heavy Model Path:Current model: models/player/bunny/imperial_501_revision/501_officer.mdl Weapon Kit: Current loadout:rw_sw_bino_white rw_sw_dh17 rw_sw_dlt19 rw_sw_tl40 rw_sw_shield_imp rw_sw_t21 Add:rw_sw_z6i deployable_shield Remove:rw_sw_shield_imp rw_sw_dlt19 Reason for change (do you think that said weapons is suitable for the job and is fair considering current loadouts of other battalions?): The 501st Heavy is one of the most used jobs in the battalion and is issued with the primary goal: “Protect wounded troopers while laying down suppressive fire allowing fellow troopers the ability to advance forwards or backwards.” This being said, the current weapon loadout either does not reflect the primary goal of heavy or allow it to complete its goal. By changing the imperial shield to the deployable, Heavy troopers are able to place cover for their fellow troopers while still being able to lay down cover fire. The recent update with the Z6I making it a usable heavy repeating blaster allows Heavy troopers the ability to lay down massive amounts of heavy damage cover fire with the trade off of incredibly slow movement speed. I believe these changes are completely balanced in every regard and would greatly benefit one of the most used 501st jobs. Health:Current: 350New: 450 Armor:Current: 250New: 200 Reason for health/armor changes: As it stands right now, most of the 501st jobs have very comparable health and armor amounts to that of StormTrooper jobs, which is absurd seeing as how the 501st Legion are an elite StormTrooper battalion in lore, and answer directly to Lord Vader. Their current HP/armor amounts do not allow them to accurately follow Vader’s Orders, nor do these amounts make sense for a battalion you have to try out to join. This job in particular being a Sub-Battalion unit a part of the 501st, which is designed and utilized to lay down massive amounts of suppressive fire and tank hits for their fellow troops,is severely lacking and incapable of completing its primary tasks. These changes will hopefully allow 501st Heavies to complete said tasks. Job/Class Name: 501st ARC Trooper Model Path:Current model: models/player/bunny/imperial_501_revision/501_officer.mdl Weapon Kit: Current loadout:rw_sw_bino_white zeus_smokegranade rw_sw_cr2c rw_sw_dh17 rw_sw_westarm5 rw_sw_dual_dc17ext cross_arms_swep cross_arms_infront_swep Add:rw_sw_dp23 rw_sw_dc15x zeus_thermaldet Remove:rw_sw_cr2c zeus_smokegranade Reason for change (do you think that said weapons is suitable for the job and is fair considering current loadouts of other battalions?): The Arc Trooper is a lucrative special forces unit apart of the 501st, which only accepts the best of the best and has a very rigorous selection process. This being said, Advanced Recon Commandos are specially trained to complete any task issued to them, and as such should have an equipment load that properly reflects their skills and expertise. All the chosen weapons to be added are powerful and specifically chosen to reflect the skills and strength that an ARC trooper possesses, and allows them to complete any task they may be assigned. To balance this out, The weapons being chosen to be removed are either ineffective in power or are rarely used due to server lag or other constraints. Health:Current: 400New: 500 Armor:Current: 150New: - No change - Reason for health/armor changes: As it stands right now, most of the 501st jobs have very comparable health and armor amounts to that of StormTrooper jobs, which is absurd seeing as how the 501st Legion are an elite StormTrooper battalion in lore, and answer directly to Lord Vader. Their current HP/armor amounts do not allow them to accurately follow Vader’s Orders, nor do these amounts make sense for a battalion you have to try out to join. Job/Class Name: 501st Jump Trooper [T2] Model Path:Current model: models/player/bunny/imperial_501_revision/501_officer.mdl Weapon Kit: Current loadout:rw_sw_bino_white rw_sw_tl40 rw_sw_tl50 rw_sw_dh17a rw_sw_cr2 rw_sw_plx1 Health:Current: 300New: 400 Armor:Current: 100New: 150 Reason for health/armor changes: As it stands right now, most of the 501st jobs have very comparable health and armor amounts to that of StormTrooper jobs, which is absurd seeing as how the 501st Legion are an elite StormTrooper battalion in lore, and answer directly to Lord Vader. Their current HP/armor amounts do not allow them to accurately follow Vader’s Orders, nor do these amounts make sense for a battalion you have to try out to join. This job in particular, being a Tier 2 donator job, feels quite weak compared to other Tier 2 jobs such as Death Trooper Sarlacc Company [T2] or Purge Combat Specialists [T2]. These changes will hopefully put this job on a tier comparable to other Tier 2 Donator jobs. Their current HP/armor amounts do not allow them to accurately follow Vader’s Orders, nor do these amounts make sense for a battalion you have to try out to join. Job/Class Name: 501st Triton Trooper [T3]New Name: 501st Phase Zero Trooper [T3]Reason for change: As it stands right now, “Triton Trooper” gives many people a preconception that this job is apart of a Sub-Battalion/Sub-Branch, and as a T3 donator job that is not something Myself or 501st command want to create for new players. The new name will greatly benefit the job and how actively it is used along with drawing more attention to the battalion! Model Path:Current model: models/player/bunny/imperial_501_revision/501_officer.mdlNew model: models/nada/DarkTrooper.mdl (SteamLink to Model)Reason for change: This new model will better reflect the new job name and job loadout. As a Tier 3 job it is very lackluster in fire power and 501st Command and Myself wish to bolster the job all around to draw more attention to the battalion and the job as a whole. As a Tier 3 job, we believe these changes are balanced and properly reflect the typical power and strength that a Tier 3 job would have. I took the time to base the strength and weapons of this job around the [T3] Shock K2 droid, and the [T3] Inquisitor Assassin jobs, both of which have SIGNIFICANTLY more health and very similar if not better weapons. Health:Current: 500New: 600 Armor:Current: 150New: 200 Reason for health/armor changes: These health and armor changes will greatly bolster the power and combat capabilities of this job along with the desire to join the battalion and donate to utilize the job! I took the time to base the strength and weapons of this job around the [T3] Shock K2 droid, and the [T3] Inquisitor Assassin jobs, both of which have SIGNIFICANTLY more health and as such I believe this HP and Armor change is completely balanced. Job/Class Name: 501st Marksman [T1] Model Path:Current model: models/player/bunny/imperial_501_revision/501_officer.mdl Weapon Kit:Current loadout:rw_sw_tl40 rw_sw_dh17 rw_sw_valken38x rw_sw_bino_white Add:rw_sw_tl50 rw_sw_iqa11 Remove:rw_sw_valken38x Reason for change (do you think that said weapons is suitable for the job and is fair considering current loadouts of other battalions?): I believe these weapon changes will bolster how effective the 501st Marksman is a job, and will significantly increase its use,as of right now it is rarely ever used. These weapons are very balanced as we are changing the primary marksman rifle for a rifle of very similar power, and as such are removing one of the secondary battle rifles. Health:Current: 250New: 300 Armor:Current: 100New: 150 Reason for health/armor changes: As it stands right now, most of the 501st jobs have very comparable health and armor amounts to that of StormTrooper jobs, which is absurd seeing as how the 501st Legion are an elite StormTrooper battalion in lore, and answer directly to Lord Vader. Their current HP/armor amounts do not allow them to accurately follow Vader’s Orders, nor do these amounts make sense for a battalion you have to try out to join. This job in particular being a Tier 1 Donator job, feels weak to that of other T1 jobs such as StormTrooper Gladiator [T1] or Shock Intervention Team [T1]. Hopefully these changes will place this job on a level directly comparable to other T1 donator jobs. Do you believe these changes are fair to the battalion/job role it is responsible for and will benefit the server, if so, why?:I believe that the entirety of this update is fair and balanced to a very true degree. Every job that is receiving HP/Armor/Weapons has been compared to other battalions of similar skill/expertise/donation tier and has been used in cultivation to determine what is fair for 501st. I believe that the entirety of this update will both benefit the current members of 501st in their duties of serving Lord Vader, and will draw new members to the battalion. Finally I believe that this update will allow the 501st Legion to truly live up to their title of "Vader's Fist".
