How much time do you have on the server?: More than 20 weeks. ______________________________________________________________________________________________________ How well do you know the LORE? I would say I know the lore extremely well, having watched nearly every show and recently got into the comics. Why do you wish to become the Head Gamemaster?: There are a multitude of reasons I am currently applying. I honestly believe that I’ve put in the work and shown my dedication. Since the beginning of March I’ve been managing and looking over almost every aspect when I became a Senior GM, reviewing and accepting applications on the forums, dealing with reports, reshaping events and how they’re supposed to be run, and lastly just looking over the GM team as a whole. Dedication has been huge for me as I have been on the server every day since January and am constantly online in game making sure GMs are following the guidelines and hosting quality events. I know nearly all aspects of GMod from both a staffing and gamemaster point of view. But most importantly I ensure that we as GMs are doing our job and creating quality events that keep the community entertained and satisfied. Right now our main issue is motivation and event gaps. We have an amazing setup on the management side of things with capable people who are doing what is necessary to keep things moving. All we need is something to give as rewards for good behavior. The rewards system wasn’t a good fit for our team but I have been brainstorming other ideas that might encourage GMs more. I also believe that the GM team needs to be pointed in the right direction. I know that with my experience I am qualified to run and maintain our team because within my time I’ve seen it done many different ways which were all effective but always died off quickly. What we need is consistency. I have planned to do GM interviews 3 times a month to grow the team, only difference is that I would do one in the morning and one later in the day so that everyone is capable of attending. There are lots of people who would love to become a gamemaster but lack motivation to apply. I believe giving the opportunity of interviews for those who are in other time zones especially EU, we have to build up our team to have events during low peak hours and having EU gamemasters would help to grow not only the GM team but the server. Lastly I believe I’m capable of being in this position because I’m already doing what a Head GM would do and I’ve been consistent with communicating with the SGMs and making sure that we’re on the same page and all communicating because at the end of the day if the GM team isn’t communicating it will fall apart. Why should you be trusted to be the Head Gamemaster?: I know I should be trusted since I show dedication and willingness to fix problems in a timely manner. I’ve proved that when given power I do not abuse or misuse it. I’ve gotten to climb through the ranks of both Army and Staff to get to General and Super Admin which shows that I’m a trusted member of the community because I’m already given such responsibilities. ______________________________________________________________________________________________________ Have you mastered ULX?: I definitely have, being a Super Admin I was chosen because of my experience and knowledge of ULX and how to be a staff member. Are you experienced with planning Mega Events?: I have run over 11 Mega Events and Story-lines that were planned for at least a few days each. Mostly with just me working on the setup. Mega Events are supposed to be high quality and something that helps either populate or entertain the server, of which I feel I’ve done. Do you have any experience leading a team? Yes, I’ve been AHGM since April where I’ve done nearly all things expected of me and the HGM. I also have prior experience managing an entire DarkRP staff team. ______________________________________________________________________________________________________ Give an example of a mega event: A mega event is any event that lasts over multiple scenery changes and typically lasts longer than normal combat events. 3 main sections for the Part 1 of this Mega event which I named ‘Evolution’ Setup - Information is given about an ex Mandalorian Leader that has been slowly creating an Army of well taught fighters. Having nearly crushed entire planets they are a force to be reckoned with. Troopers are sent to investigate and see if they wish to join the Empire or fall before it’s knees. Go down to outpost-b1 and siege their small base, finding information about their armor and what makes it different (the enemies are hl2 combine so in the story it would be beefier hp to make their “armor” stronger) we learn that the Mandalorian Leader who created the Army was given ancient technology that absorbs all particle based energy (like what we use in our weapons) One of the Combine sent out a distress signal before being captured leading the Army back to the empire. Climax - Now that the Mandalorian leader knows where our ISD is, the ISB comes back to brief them on how well the first scouting mission went. When shortly 3 ships come out of hyperspace and begin attacking in attempts to take down the ship along with all information about their armor. It’s a long on ship combat where multiple waves of Combine, manhacks, rollermines, and shield scanners attack. Eventually the main ship starts blowing up from a critical ION cannon hit which gives SF an opportunity to strike them down. But shortly before blowing up the Leader and a few of his top researchers take escape pods to their post war run down city. Where the last part of the mission happens (off map rp_wasteland) Resolution - During the last phase it’s an attack on a planet that will last anywhere from 30 minutes to an hour. While they’re down there they will need to locate the Leader and his researchers and grab any information regarding the technology, only to find that they destroyed any evidence and the Leader had killed all his men.
