Name: Strange Eyelander Current Rank: Junior Researcher Who else was present?: 1 Class-D, AR Normie, Multiple GenSEC and MTF. SCP Number and Classification: 173, Euclid What was the purpose of this experiment?: To find out if SCP-173 could engage in human activities, such as Tic-Tac-Toe. -------------------------------- Notes: SCP-173 played a full game of Tic-Tac-Toe, and lost to a D-Class. 173 killed the D-Class, presumably out of rage from losing. ------------------------------ Report: I entered the secured zone of D-Block, and asked for an escort. One of the higher-up guards did so, and brought a Class-D out to bring to 173's room. We brought them over to the room, and I went up the stairs in order to begin the test. The D-Class entered the chamber and was uncuffed by the guard. The guard exited the room and the test started. During, we brought in a 3 by 3 wood grid, which was around the height of the D-Class. We closed and opened the shutters to allow 173 to make their moves, and we noticed that SCP-173 was compliant. We allowed them to continue to play Tic-Tac-Toe, until the D-Class was 1 move away from winning. We allowed the D-Class to win the game, and we closed the shutters. However, when we opened the shutters, 173 had snapped the neck of the D-Class. Thus was the end of the experiment. -------------------------------- Takeaway: The anomaly is able to partake in human activities, or at least in this particular one. -------------------------------- Ideas(Given by this test): Could the anomaly try doing other activities similar to this?

Im looking for a clarification on a rule I received a verbal warning for which is NOT found in the !MOTD From what I was told that there is a recontainment procedure for 173 where he can be cuffed by only two people looking at him and rolling against him. I ask where this rule was in the MOTD and was told its in an MTF E11 SOP (Which I am not a part of E11 or any MTF and do not have access to these SOPs) and could not find any reference to this in the MOTD. What are you suggesting? - Either if this is a legitimate rule it be added to the MOTD where anyone can access it, or if it is not legitimate, clarification that this action is not allowed on the server. How would this change better the server? - Clarification of a rule which currently new players may not have access to and therefore less staff sits. Who would this change mostly benefit? - this clarification should benefit the whole server with a better understanding of server rules. If the rule is legitimate it can benefit foundation in that 173 is easier to recontain, while if it is not 173 shouldn't benefit as the current motd would remain the same in his recontainment procedures. I do wish to note that while i have been told this has always been a rule i have never encountered something like this before in my time on the server.

Lore Name: Arthur Rank: AR SCP: 999 and 173 Personnel Involved: (2) Guards (1) NTF (2) Researchers (1) D class Question/ Idea: Could 999 affect 173's behavior? Hypothesis: If 999 tickles 173, then 173 will hopefully not be as or be hostile. Background Research: None. Observations/What happened: 173 Stood in a corner while 999 tried to tickle it. After a tickling session a D class was put into 173's cc and 999 was taken out. 173 took a bit longer then usually to snap the D class'es neck. Conclusion: 999's affects only helped to stop 173 from snapping the D class'es neck for about 5-10 Extra seconds. Was your hypothesis correct?: No

Lore Name: AR Jackie Jay and JR Lamp Rank: AR and JR SCP: 173 Question / Idea: will neck guards protect from SCP 173 Background Research: broken line of sight of SCP 173 will cause the test subject neck to be snapped Hypothesis: I believe SCP 173 will find a alternative means of termination Observations (What Happened During Test): Two tests were carried out one with a neck guard from a sporting goods store and one with the same guard but reinforced with rebar. The normal guard however was crushed and the subject was terminated. However the reinforced rebar brace prevented 173 from harming the subject/ Analysis / Conclusion (What Could Of Caused The Results):SCP 173 was unable to harm the subject this must be due to the rebar SCP 173 may not be able to damage rebar more testing will be done to conclude this in the future Was Your Hypothesis Correct? The end result socked me this maybe bring a means of protection from SCP 173

Name: Fish Rank: Junior SCP: 173 Question/ Idea: Does SCP 173 have emotions? Background Research: SCP 173 is constructed of concrete and rebar Hypothesis: SCP 173 Does not have emotions Observations: When introduced two class D, 173 turned and looked at me, the two d class blinked at the same time 173 moved toward me. After closing the door two minutes have past and when i was about to open the door and retrieve the d class i heard two necks snap. Evidence/Visual Stimuli: When the doors where open to make sure the d class where alive, two body's where there. Analysis/conclusion: SCP 173 is capable of emotion but only negative ones. Was the hypothesis correct: partially, as 173 has no remorse he may hold certain grudges toward certain people

Lore Name: Red Rank:AR SCP: 173-Euclid,467-Euclid,and 096-Euclid-Terminated Question / Idea: Can we use 457 to burn off the flesh of 096. Can we use 173 to break 096's bones. Background Research: 173 Is a statue made out of concrete and rebar wire. 173 kills his victims mostly from a break at the neck sometimes suffocation. 457 Is a entity made out of fire the more fuel the bigger it gets. If 457 gets too much fuel he splits into 2 the 2 become hostile to each other. 096 Is around 2 meters tall with a slender build with his skin completely white. If 096's face is seen he starts crying then screaming then he kills who saw his face. Hypothesis: lets use 457 and 173 to burn off flesh and break bones of 096 Observations (What Happened During Test): We sent 457 and 173 into 096's Containment. Then all hell broke lose they did not get out but the noises THE NOISES! It was hell Evidence/Visual Stimuli: When we came into 096's containment all there was just ash and broken bones. We had killed It we had killed that beast. Analysis / Conclusion (What Could Of Caused The Results): 173 breaking bones and 457 burning off regenerative parts in turn killing it. Name: Dapper, John P, Brooke Rank: Researcher, JR, JR SCP: 173, 049-2 Question: Will 173 attack a zombie made by 049? If so who would win and how quickly would the other die? Background: -173: 173 is a statue made of concrete and rebar. 173 can only move when it is not in direct eye sight of any living organism. 173 is extremely hostile and will attack any living being in it's proximity. -049-2: 049-2 refers to a subject who has been 'cured' by 049. 049-2 has no form of higher brain function and is observed to be nothing more than a mindless drone for 049. Hypothesis: SCP 049-2 will not acknowledge 173. 173 however will attack 049-2 as soon as eye contact is broken. Observations: Upon closing 173's containment door, a loud crunch was heard. When 173's containment door was opened, 049-2 was motionless on the ground while 173 stood above it. Examination determined 049-2 was terminated by a broken neck. Analysis: It seems 173 attacks any form of life, not just human. Or 049-2 had enough human in it to be prey of 173. Further testing with 049-2 to determine where it stands with other anomalies is advised. Specifically: 035, 682, 106, 1048, 012, and 999.

Lore Name:Cade Rank:JR SCP:173 Question / Idea:Does SCP-173 have an olfactory organ. Background Research:Read the past test of his detection ability. Hypothesis:SCP-173 have an olfactory organ. Observations (What Happened During Test):after putting Ammonium hydrosulfide on the first class d and human pheromone on the second one SCP-173 approached the second class D and kill it and ignore the first one. Evidence/Visual Stimuli: The class D who survived reported he was ignored by SCP-173. Analysis / Conclusion (What Could Of Caused The Results):SCP-173 may have a olfactory organ that make him detect the human being, furthest test required to find the organ. Was Your Hypothesis Correct?:Yes.

Lore Name: Regan Mahony Rank: Junior Researcher SCP: 173 Question / Idea: Does SCP 173 have functioning eyes / does SCP 173 navigate using its eyes as its primary way of gathering information. Background Research: Read up on old files and tests relating to SCP 173, this led to minimal results as to the functionality of the SCP's eyes. Hypothesis: Will SCP 173 when confronted by three Class D on three different angled to it A - Go for the nearest Class D no matter what angle they are at and whether its eyes are within a visible angle to see them. B - Only attack the Class D that are within its line of sight C - Show no pattern in its attacks. Observations (What Happened During Test): At the beginning of the test three Class D entered the containment chamber, beforehand they had been ordered to maintain visual contact for 30 seconds before looking away, during this time they would be circling the SCP and swapping positions, throughout this test non of the Class D recovered reported any signs of a pattern. Although one of the remaining two Class D did report a small correlation as they say SCP 173 may have gone for the nearest Class D, but this evidence is inconsequential and does not prove the hypotheses. Evidence/Visual Stimuli: Two Class D who survived the test reported their findings as they had been stated to record before the test occurred. Analysis / Conclusion (What Could Of Caused The Results): I believe my results may have been stewed by the D Class emotions during the test and there inability to collect adequate data for my hypothesis, furthermore I believe the Class D needed to provide larger gaps and room between them and SCP 173 to provide a more stable result. As of now my hypothesis is not correct or incorrect, with a more finite rule set I believe I should be capable of getting the correct results that I require to give a comprehensive result on whether SCP 173 uses its eyes as a form of picking its prey or whether it has another sense of direction. Was Your Hypothesis Correct?: Inconclusive, further tests required.

Name: JR Teo Rank: JR SCP: 173 List of Personnel involved in testing: one D-class personnel, 2 guards ████████ and ████████ , also a fellow researcher Seddo Level D Personnel involved(if any): Banna Risks/Safety Precautions: 173 moves out, so had 2 researchers and a guard to stop 173's movement. Background Research: SCP- 173 will snap people's neck in the blink of an eye SCP 173 can't move when in a person's line of sight. What I’m teaching/testing: To see if 173 will be angered by the "snaping" of its neck. Observation: Scp-173 didn't make any noises at the snaping, but when we closed the door we could hear the Class D personal struggling with the SCP. After a couple of minutes, we let the Class D out. Conclusion: Scp-173 doesn't like people affecting it. Scp-173 can be "juked" as the class D said.

Lore Name: incident 173 #5 Rank: Junior Researcher SCP: 173 Question / Idea: How would 173 snap someone's neck if we place a door the fit the body to where the body is on two different sides. Background Research:173 has a record of snapping necks on the base of the skull and strangulation so what if we block it from doing both of those options Hypothesis:173 will either leave the d unit alone or it will use a new method of killing by pummeling the d unit to death. Observations (What Happened During Test): 173 appeared to have been curious on how to kill the d class due to it taking extended periods of time for it to kill the d unit. then we hear the door rupture because of some extremely strong force. We headed back to discover the d class's neck snapped to where his neck was [Redacted] after apparent pull that was so hard it [Redacted his neck] [ FAIL SAFE CONTAINMENT BREACH MTF HAVE BEEN DISPATCHED TO 173'S CONTAINMENT CELL] Evidence/Visual Stimuli: (door opens to 173 containment chamber) (MTF> Blinking!) d unit is placed in the door.( MTF> blinking then proceed out of cell) all cameras and people near 173 look away... ( there is silence) we start to hear some uncontrollable screams of agony as the d class his heard screaming. ( There is a crunch and a snap we hear a splatter of what might be blood) Research and 2 MTF proceed to Camera Feed. ( ANNOUNCEMENT) SCP 173 has breached containment MTF to LCZ 173 HAS BROKEN OUT! ( the d class's head was pulled with such ferocity that the thyrohyoid muscle had completely snapped causing the d units head to break on one side and hang on the left side of the chamber door. Analysis / Conclusion (What Could Of Caused The Results):due to the d units neck not fully being exposed it seems 173 grabbed the d units hear for grapple and pulled so hard that one side of the neck snapped and hung lifelessly on the left side of the containment door. Was Your Hypothesis Correct?: addendum It appears that 173 did not pummel the d unit to death but pulled his head so hard causing the thyrohyoid muscle to snap and causing his head to hang.

Lore Name: Henry Trustis Rank: JR SCP: 173 Question / Idea: What Defines Direct Line of Sight Background Research: Pulled Up Logs On Mirrors and Cameras Hypothesis: 173 Should Remain Still Observations (What Happened During Test): Subject-A (D-Class) is placed in front of 173 and a Mirror is placed behind the dclass, the dclass is then instructed to look at the mirror at 173, I then blink and 173 remains motionless. I Pick up the mirror and place down a piece of cardboard in such a way that 173's feet are visible, I then blink and 173 remains motionless. Finally, I place a pane of frosted glass in front of 173, I then blink and 173 is observed moving ( I attribute this to both of us blinking at the same time), I repeat the tests again and the anomaly is disproven Analysis / Conclusion (What Could Have Caused The Results): 173 Remained Motionless Was Your Hypothesis Correct?: Yes

Lore Name: Spice Rank: Associate Researcher SCP: SCP-173 Question / Idea: Does SCP-173 have sentience or emotion? Background Research: We all know its a statue, we don't know what causes it to move, but generally things that move are living. It also excretes waste, though it doesn't need any food to survive. Hypothesis: It would not react to the comments made about it, and proceed to kill at random. Observations (What Happened During Test): I brought three (3) Class - D Personnel into SCP-173's containment cell after briefing them on what they are supposed to do. One of the Class - D was told to compliment SCP-173, the other was told to insult SCP-173, and the third was told to do nothing, as a control variable. When we entered SCP-173's Containment cell, the class - D that was instructed to insult SCP-173 refused, this resulted in his termination and we continued the test. The 2 Class - D Remaining was the one who complimented SCP-173, and the one who didn't do anything. We all looked away from SCP-173 and he severed the vertebrae of the Class - D who was complimenting him. We ended the test and returned the Class - D to his cell. Evidence/Visual Stimuli (N/A if unable/none): N/A Analysis / Conclusion (What Could Of Caused The Results): I assume SCP-173 did not react to the comments made about him due to one major factor. SCP-173 does not require any nutrients to sustain itself. This means it cannot be living as all cells require food to live. It is possible that SCP-173 killed the D - Class complimenting him first, because he thought he was "sucking up to him." This is a possibility and the test will be redone with all 3 D - Class participating in the experiment. Was Your Hypothesis Correct?: Initially I predicted that SCP-173 would react to the comments, but after realizing that it most likely is not a living organism, I quickly changed my mind. Yes, my hypothesis was correct. For now.

SCP 173 Experiment: Reactions to pain After some experimentation with D-Class personnel it appears that SCP-173 does not fear pain but has an aversion to pain. After two d-class entered the chamber one puched SCP-173 a few times. After that both went to the far side of the chamber and blinked a few times. SCP-173 went towards the one that didn’t puch it repeatedly. They were then both released and paid 5$ each. This has lead to the before said conclusion that SCP does not fear pain because it did not retreat from the other class-d (they were both at the same end approximately 6 meters apart) but did seem to want to go after the one that posed less of a threat.

Lore Name: Dr. Clef (Spookie) Rank: Foundation Dr Clearance Level: 4 List of personnel involved in testing: Me, a Medical Doctor, a Technician to setup the camera, and an MTF. List of materials: x4 Thermal goggles, x1 Thermal Camera broadcasting what was happening for review and able to broadcast the 966s. Level D personnel involved: None SCP: 173 and x5 966 Hypothesis: If 173 cannot see the 966’s then it can still move freely Pre Test: The MTF moved SCP 173 inside of 966s cell, he released ordered us all to look at 173 while he released it. Once SCP 173 was free he ran back outside of the cell and we shut the door. I instructed everyone there to look away from the glass. After some time about 3 minutes we took 173 out of the chamber. Camera Footage: The following is written format of what happened as the camera footage was [Data Redacted]. //----TEST BEGIN----\\ 1:00: MTF agent moves scp 173 into the chamber. 1:30: MTF agent released 173 and quickly moves out of the chamber. 1:45: Dr. Clef (Me) instructed everyone to look away from the chamber glass. 2:00: SCP 173 is standing still, SCP 966 pay no attention to it. 2:28: SCP 173 remains still, a SCP 966 notices SCP 173 and starts to slowly approach it. 2:30: The other 966 instances do not pay attention to the 173 while the 966 still approaches 2:34: The 966 is right up in front of 173 and starts to pace around it. 2:39: 173 suddenly Snaps 966s neck having 966s body uncloak and fall to the ground. The sound of the neck snap alerted every other SCP 966 instances which quickly turn to face SCP 173. 2:40: SCP 173 appears in front of a 966 farthest from the group closest to the containment chamber door. 2:48: The 966 closest to the containment chamber door backs into a wall and gets cornered by 173. 2:49: 173 Snaps the 966s neck and its neck, and then turns to face the other 966. The 966s then enter a panic state one 966 runs up to the glass and begins to claw at it attempting to get out. The other 966s a male and a female run to the side of the room farthest from SCP 173. 2:50: SCP 173 starts to approach the 966 clawing at the window making it claw at the window faster, this broke its claws but despite this SCP 966 continues to try to get out. The 966s shift themselves to the other side of the room. 2:51: SCP 173 continues to approach the 966 clawing at the window, this triggered a “Fight of Flight” scenario within the 966 where it decided the best cause to stay alive would be to fight. The 966 then charged SCP 173 uncloaking and attempting to claw it despite them not having claws at all. The 966 attacks leave no visible damage to 173 swiping 4 more times before a loud crunch was heard. 966 drops dead on the floor. 2:52: SCP 173 approaches the 966s and they dash to the otherside of the room. 2:54: SCP 173 turns and continues to approach teh 966s the 966s attempt to escape clawing the glass the 966 did before. ----At this point I decided to stop the test---- 2:53: I told the MTF to get ready and i'm about to open the door they move over to the door and I open it. The 966s run towards the door and hide beside the MTF agent not attempting to kill them. 2:54: The 173 sees its escape and gets to a point behind the guard the medic turns around and sees 173 and alerts the MTF. The MTF successfully captured SCP 173 and begin to bring it to its own containment chamber //----TEST CONCLUDED----\\ Visual Stimuli (Photos/videos): [Data Lost] Errors and/or safety hazards: SCP 173 got stuck on the door while we tried to move him out the technician suggested closing and opening the door we did that and the door was fixed allowing us to bring SCP 173 back to its containment. Addendum: After the Test I went to log my findings I was uploading the footage to the foundation database when [Data Expunged] causing the footage to be lost. Because of the SCPS lost the remaining 966s have been assigned new names, with the Male 966 being assigned the name 966-1 and the female being assigned the name 966-2 Conclusion: while my hypothesis was proven wrong I have discovered that the 966 SCPs have a higher self preservation then I thought and also cannot establish a threat as easy and fast as other SCPS do like the SCPs 939 how they want to avoid 682 and how 682 wants to avoid 173 but this could be marked down as past experience I imagine. The 966 will even go out of the way to side with their prey in escaping danger when 966s hid by the door to avoid SCP 173 or what could be when the SCP was clawing the door they could have been attempting to get out attention. I’ve also discovered that 966s have a closer pack bond then I expected attempting to protect another from danger. Which I will further attempt to study at a later date.
