  1. Don’t you forget the most important part of reserves is coming out of them someday. Glad to hear things IRL are going great for ya, and Medical is here for you. Thanks for all the time and effort you’ve put into Gaminglight to make it a better place!
  2. What is your in-game name?: Keegan What is your steam name?: Keegan What is your steam ID?: STEAM_0:0:159204113 Do you have any other experience with staffing?: (If yes, explain) Not in a game, but I have been mod in some small Discord servers. What date did you start playing on the community? (roughly): 3/29/21 What date did you make your forums account? May 22, 2021 Current rank on server (This is a ULX rank ONLY! Not a RP Rank)? User; no donator rank How many warns do you have on the server? 0 warns. Have you donated? I have; $50USD. ($40 for CC stuff, $10 tac insertion) What rank are you applying for? Trial Moderator Timezone: CDT (UTC-5) Permission (Admin+ need this): N/A Why do you believe that you deserve the rank? (Can be any length): I believe I should become a trial moderator because I genuinely wish to help the server out. When minges and people who break the rules come on the server it can cause a hard time for those who are trying to RP correctly, and I aspire to help solve the problem, hopefully by simply reforming the minges via warning / reminding them of rules. I've committed a lot of time to Gaminglight ImperialRP, and I believe it's time I try to help a bit more outside of just in Medical. I also feel I would do well in the position since I always keep my cool and respect players, something that is needed to become mod. How would you handle someone that is Mass RDMing and when you bring him/her to an admin sit all they do is curse at you? If they will not be quiet enough to allow me to speak after telling them to be quiet, I would gag them (and tell them that whenever they are done let me know in chat and I'll ungag) and continue the sit. Get the side of whoever reported them, and attempt to get info from the person reported. If they are nonresponsive, continue. Check the logs to see proof of MRDM and watch any relevant clip showing them doing it. If there is sufficient evidence to say they committed MRDM, continue. Inform them that I am warning them formally for MRDM which is the RDM of 4+ people. Use command "!warn mrdmplayer RDMx4" Request an Admin to ban them for 5 days while the sit is still ongoing. Depending on the language used, it may require additional warns/ban time for homophobia or racism. (I have read staff guidelines)
  3. +Supports: Decent leader when he is trying to be Very nice to play with Good potential for position despite being a fairly new officer -Supports: As stated above minginess as an officer let alone vice commander is unacceptable, but I believe Carson can work on this and improve Can allow enlisted to get out of line Overall +SUPPORT
  4. Accepted Congrats! You've been accepted into the Medical Corps Officer team. You will now be commissioned as a 2LT. Speak to Medical Command (MAJ+) for your 2LT Training.
  5. What do you want to see?: Adding Medical Assault Trooper as a benefit of getting Apprentice, Lord, Darth. Why should we add it?: To keep consistency and ensure the store page is accurate. Currently any Apprentice+ can hop on Assault Trooper job, and as such the page should list it. I believe it was just never added in the initial change: https://gaminglight.com/forums/topic/77032-imperialrp-first-2021-summer-update/?tab=comments#comment-529989 What are the advantages of having this?: So people know that Apprentice gets Medical Assault Trooper. And to further entice people to buy ranks! Who is it mainly for?: Anybody who is considering buying a rank. Links to any content: https://gaminglight.com/store/store.php?page=packages&id=32
  6. The color of the text typed into the search bar on the forums is way too dark to be accessible at all and is nearly invisible on lower brightness levels of a screen. This color should be changed to white over gray in my opinion, since when typing something it is the ONLY thing on the screen you are focusing on, and making it easiest to see makes the most sense. Current when text typed in: Current CSS: Fix: (everything in the top bar on forums is FFF [basically white]) Fix Result: I would prefer white over a light gray for the above reasons.
  7. + Supports: Excellent candidate for VCMDR Great leader, not mingy Sets a great example for how medics should act Recent inactivity due to reason I know about and understand Has come to me before with good possibilities for improvement Well respected by everyone, and has earned that with leadership - Supports: Forgot to do put in the above LOA so is marked as inactive on roster
  8. HUGE HUGE HUGE +SUPPORT I have been waiting for Ivan to do this for a while. +Extremely active both in game and Discord +Very kind and has enough patience to handle minging STs ^Everything here I agree with. -Support: bit of a short app, but it is concise and gets across what is needed. Good luck Ivan!
  9. 1. What is your IGN? (In Game Name) : MC DHS VCMDR Keegan 4571 2. What Regiment/Position are you applying for? 69th Medical Corps Commander 3. Why do you want to be a commander of this branch? I want to be a Commander of this branch to do several things: I want to establish a higher quantity of trustworthy, quality Officers within Medical. Recently, many of the old Officers have taken reserves or resigned for different reasons, leaving so much of the Officer list empty. To me, this is not necessarily a bad thing. Now some lower Officers have more chances to step up to the plate to show their leadership and seriousness in allowing people to RP without being mingy and just wanting to kill people in the medbay. I also believe it is important to look at the reasons why people like Medical, and why some of them grew to dislike it enough to leave it, and perhaps fix enough of the problems to encourage these people to come back. I also want to increase the amount of serious RP (without overcomplication that confuses people) in the medbay and on the field. It has been the case that it is extremely difficult for people to both want to do RP, and actually have it be serious RP. Too often I have walked into the medbay to see people just standing there doing nothing, and I would like to make it a (soft, no "quota") requirement to actually be participating in RP seriously in order to advance through the ranks (excellent RP and seriousness paired with leadership ability makes for fine NCO/Officers). Today I was informed that a current NCO had not performed a single checkup since being a TRN. This really opened my eyes to how deep this problem is, and how much work I will have to put in to encourage Medical to work harder at getting the RP part of ImperialRP down. I also have work to do with fixing the activity within sub-battalions, something I spoke much about on my VCMDR application, and it is still applicable today. I have been intending to help revive Research, as it is essentially only 5-6 active people currently, something which is disappointing to me, since I love the variety of RP they do. By assigning myself within sub-battalions that need a boost in activity, I hope to be able to encourage serious RP, more people to join, and to establish a strong foundation for growth within the sub-battalions. As a CMDR, I intend to do that, as Research is by far one of Medical's biggest opportunities that has been missing a fair chance at success for a while. My hands have been slightly tied at the moment with creating their new SOP and Tryout Guide while waiting on the new redacted rank requirements. When all these tasks are accomplished, I will be satisfied, but I will not be dormant, and will work towards finding other ways to improve, such as discovering new, unique ways for Medical to engage with the server. Even if my application is denied, I still intend to work upon these things. 4. How much game time do you have on the server? Currently, according to Battlemetrics, I have 215 hours on the server. I do not AFK on the server, so this is reflective of real time spent improving Medical. 5. What is the Main Purpose of a commander for a branch? The main purpose of a branch Commander is set a positive example for the Corps as a whole, both in leadership and by maintaining a great stack of leaders within the Corps. NCO, Officers, and VCMDR should all be respectful of each other and other players, while also knowing how and when to punish someone or rebuke them for how they are behaving. This ensures that Medical doesn't slip into chaos the second higher-ups disconnect, and that it isn't a constant job of micro-managing every single member of the Corps. At this moment, Medical needs a bit of a rebuild Commander, and I believe I fit the task of reviving the ranks of Medical. 6. Why should we trust you to be a commander? : I know I should be trusted as Commander because of my performance and drive to make Medical a better place. I command respect with both old and new medical for how I compose myself, and how I handle situations. I am extremely active with the housekeeping tasks of medical, such as roster updates, LOA, keeping members up to date on the latest documents, etc. I am constantly helping new people in the Discord and in game, something that is not below a VCMDR or CMDR. I do not show favoritism to friends. I also own up to my mistakes publicly to remain accountable, and communicate well on a daily basis with all my Officers, fellow VCMDR Flanbro, and with AHC as needed regarding what I would like to see from them, ideas I have for improvement, etc. I also remain level-headed in all situations I am in despite how frustrated I may be, and have never lashed out at anyone in the Gaminglight community. As a Commander, this is extremely important for professionalism and setting a good example for what leadership should be to VCMDR, Officer, NCO, and rising Enlisted. Good traits start at the top, and I aim to keep Medical inclusive of everyone. Yelling at someone for being confused/wrong is a great way to both distance yourself from your members, making them less apt to tell you what is wrong, and to reduce the likelihood they want to keep playing. This is something that had happened to me within Medical before, and it nearly made me quit, so you should believe me when I say that I will never do that. It's also just not in my nature. I understand that this is a game that many people come to to have fun and relax, and lashing out at someone instead of a calm explanation diminishes that for them. As mentioned on my VCMDR application, I really just love helping people have fun. I am reachable most hours of the day, and many, many times members of Medical have messaged me with questions and concerns about Medical, and I do my best to address these. To be forthcoming and honest in my application, I must address how I am somewhat new to being a Command member of Medical. My application for VCMDR was accepted only 10 days ago, but in that time I have worked non-stop to provide the foundation for the above changes, and have further increased the respect other medical have for me, as well as (I believe) the respect Command Members of other battalions have for me. Several people actually encouraged me to make this application, something which was somewhat surprising to me, but at least in their eyes I am doing great things for medical, and have excellent potential. 7. How often can you be Online? : Until September (start of college classes), I can be on a minimum of 3-5 hours each weekday, and up to 7 on weekends. This is an average of ~5.5 hours. I would play more on weekdays but I have a 9-5 internship this summer. After September I can be on based on class times and work: - Sunday: 7 hours - Monday: 4 hours - Tuesday: 3 hours - Wednesday: 3 hours - Thursday: 3 hours - Friday: 4 hours - Saturday: 7 hours Average: ~4.5 hours daily. If I don't get my internship extended to me for the school year I will be able to do up to 7 hours Monday and Friday. 8. Do you have any Warnings? (What for?) : I do not have any warnings, active or past/appealed, from Medical, High Command, Staff/Mods, or any group on the server.
  10. Denied Notes: The Medical Command team does not believe you are ready for Officer at this time. Apply again in two weeks.
  11. ACCEPTED Welcome to the officer team! Medical Command is delighted to have you here. Speak to Medical Command (MAJ+) for your 2LT training.
  12. DENIED Medical Command does not deem you worthy of the position right now. Notes: Needs more time as NCO. Short app. You may re-apply in 2 weeks!
  13. That would work for me. As long as we have some item that makes sense for surgery that would be great.
  14. Chico is extremely deserving of this position, and I believe will do great things with IF. We do a lil bit of trolling
  15. Echoing what Flanbro said: +Support: Great person, good to play with Extremely nice to Medical members -Support: Very spotty activity, however I think if this is improved in the future you would make great VCMDR (I understand your reason for recent inactivity and it's fair to me for an Officer, I just think VCMDR should ideally be more active) Need to see some more leadership IDK if this should count against you but you aren't very active in the Discord at all even when not on LOA; our chats often have people asking questions or not following roster updates and it is useful to help them out, so I think if you got VCMDR you would really need to be more active in there, since VCMDR is all about communicating with the Battalion. Edit: Just realized you are also missing a poll on your application, Blaze. You should have one for a command application.
  16. +Support: Don't see why this shouldn't be added to both. At minimum though AT should get it. +Support: This would make more sense based on the names of other jobs. -Support: Kit Knife can be used for minging, yes, but so can bacta grenade (which is way worse since it can get us in trouble both on accident and some people throw it on purpose). Also, NCO is actually able to perform surgeries at the moment at least temporarily while Flanbro fixes certs (see image), makes more types available, and maybe reworking the system a bit to make surgery training readily available (if he implements a suggestion I made to him). That was basically done since we only have 4 people TOTAL actually certified for ANY surgery in that system. Also, for surgeries where we have to make incisions the knife is very useful for RP. We could potentially add rule for NCO+ not to use knife unless it's needed for a surgery/research to prevent any minging. If weapon_jew_scalpelkit was actually a model that looked like the preview and also actually had some sort of animation I would support replacing kit knife with scalpel though.
  17. You're always a pleasure to see on the server, and you definitely seem ready for VCMDR. Good luck!
  18. +Support Great to play with Doesn't minge Seeks improvement in all aspects, and has initiative that I have seen in doing so Very good activity -Support Still fairly low in NCO Has not done many tryouts overall, but has a good rate of success in getting people to the tryout, since he actively seeks them out rather than sitting in medbay and waiting for people to show. IMO needs to spend a bit more time in NCO to prove dedication and ability to command troops in battle and in the medbay To help you improve your skills in leading troops, which I believe you will do well based on what I have seen from you, I would like to give you some chances to lead teams in SIMs and trainings, and encourage other officers to do the same. Please continue your strong dedication to medical! We need more people like you!
  19. 1. What is your IGN? (In Game Name) : MC RSO CPT Keegan 4571 2. What Regiment/Position are you applying for? Medical Corps Vice Commander 3. Why do you want to be a commander of this branch? I would like to be a Vice Commander in this branch, the 69th Medical Corps, in order to help do several key things: First of all, I would like to have a renewed focus on Rescue Squadron and Research. Rescue has been supplanted a lot in my opinion by Assault Trooper, as Rescue was the more combat-search-and-rescue part of Medical. There are currently not too many reasons to join Rescue over Assault Trooper (if you are a donator) so Rescue numbers are very slow to grow. And while on ship, nobody in Rescue really has anything specific to do that they couldn't do as a regular medical trooper. I'd like to really encourage Rescue Squadron members to start protecting VIPs. I am not sure that I have ever seen anybody do this, but I would really like to get Rescue to guard MOs frequently, as that would keep both sections engaged and have something to do. As a way to boost all of our sub-battalions, I would like to start assigning each sub-battalion a specific role in SIMs and Trainings that fits their nature and is good applicable practice. For example, a combat sim could be research trying to transport samples of DNA to an evac point and then get to use it after on the ship to make monstrous creations, after Assault Troopers have breached the building that held it. Medical Troopers (those not in sub-battalion, usually TRN-PFC folks) could be doing some guarding of the perimeter as enemies close in, while Rescue is the only group with healing items in the SIM running around healing the others while also helping in the fight. This is just one example, and there are many more that could be done. I really want to give sub-battalions a chance to shine in their areas. For research specifically, I would like to give them a chance to kidnap people more often from brig to use as experiments, as that is one of the exciting things that made some people join research. Whenever I do tryouts that always catches trainees' attentions. It also might help those that broke rules and got arrested want to seriously play and increase the time they will stay on the server. Secondly, I would really like to increase the conversion of people from low NCO to higher rank NCO. People tend to fall off in the middle of NCO (perhaps due to applying for 2LT). Anyways, I believe giving NCO more engaging responsibilities besides just "command if nobody higher is on and do tryouts", such as being able to do debriefs and be in charge of medical in SIMs and smaller-scale Events. In fact, I believe this should be a given thing where if someone high ranking is on, they should occasionally give NCO and lower-ranking officers a chance to prove themselves to possibly reduce a cooldown or get a promotion if off-cooldown. There are many other ideas I have for medical, and they all involve increasing the amount of fun EVERYONE has, regardless of their rank, the attitude of others, or their sub-battalion. 4. How much game time do you have on the server? According to BattleMetrics, I have 146.5 hours of in-game time on the server as of writing this post. I have not AFKed overnight, and probably have only around 8 hours of AFK. 5. What is the Main Purpose of a commander for a branch? The Vice Commander's main purpose is to be a role model for the entire Corps, and ensure people are having fun and being engaged without having to resort to more mingy activities. They also should be responsible for doing some of the more boring tasks of medical, such as roster updates and ensuring people are following SOP. I will break this down into more detail. Vice Commanders should be role models towards Officers (and everyone else), as they are the next-in-line for command if there is no VCMDR or CMDR online. Instilling a sense of respect for others' wishes, even if they are a lower rank, while still being firm in some aspects and knowing how to punish someone for being disrespectful or breaking rules, goes a long way in making people want to keep hopping on every day to have a good time. Keeping players happy and engaged is probably the biggest part of every command member's job. Without a player base that comes back, there is nothing else. Having SIMs, trainings, RP in the medbay, and RP around the ship keep being having a wide variety of things to do, rather than just having to sit in medbay and do checkups in between regular events. When people have nothing to do, they become mingy and then start to unravel, giving a bad look on medical for people who are new to the Corps. 6. Why should we trust you to be a commander? : I know I should be trusted as Vice Commander due to the respect I have from others and for others. I have never lashed out at anyone on the server, and I have a really high amount of patience towards others, which is really key when you are trying to get new players to keep playing. Often people don't understand GMOD much or haven't played on Gaminglight before, so helping them along in the nicest way possible really encourages them to want to continue playing and follow the same way and help others. I help out in the Discord server all the time with helping to answer people's questions, and when on the server I give out tours to my trainees occasionally (something that I'd also like to encourage some NCO to host; they gather up some new ST PVTs and take them on a tour, and then see if they want to tryout for medical). Speaking of, I have a lot of ideas for how medical could be improved and how to do it in a simple way. I own up to my mistakes, and I acknowledge the strengths of others. I really care about helping others to have fun, and know how difficult it is for people in medical to do things when there is not much direction from the top. As such, I wouldn't want to put the Corps in that position. 7. How often can you be Online? : Until September, I am able to be online around 3-5 hours per day on weekdays, and up to 10 on weekends (usually around 7). This is due to me having a 9-5 internship on weekdays. After September, once classes start up, I can reliably be on 3+ hours Tues-Thurs, 7 hours weekends, and either 4+ hours on Mondays and Fridays, depending on if I am working on those days. This is an average of ~4.5+ hours per day. 8. Do you have any Warnings? (What for?) : I do not have any warnings, verbal or formal, either in Medical or from server staff.
  20. +Support Fun to play with Has done well as NCO leading enlisted Understands role Made it all the way up to highest NCO without incident as far as I am aware of -Support Made it all the way to CSM without joining the TeamSpeak, but as long as it is used from here on out that is fine
