  1. Morning! My name is TrainOverlord, I am a Research Supervisor inside you guessed it! The Research Division. Firstly, allow me to apologize in advance for this issue you are suffering from. Spending days in the Junior Researcher role without promotions can be exhausting and you may feel as if Research Command aren't noticing your efforts. Allow me to promptly correct this by saying that we greatly appreciate the effort and time you have placed into our division and are grateful for your efforts. Moving on to why you aren't promoted I can see a few issues that we can resolve together. 1. Beginning with a strong point, looking into your Forum profile I can see your wonderful test logs you have created. However, I have noticed your actually posting these in the wrong section. We in lower research command are assigned test logs that we grade given by high command however, these assigned test logs can only be given to us if they are posted in the proper section. Otherwise, high command doesn't see your test log and it doesn't get assigned to us. For clarification, you have posted these in the 'SCP Directory Submissions'. This section is used whenever someone designs or creates a SCP and not for test logging. As a result of this our research command haven't seen your test logs. To correct, this I recommend you either re-post them or get a Forum Diplomat to move them (done so by reporting your own post). The proper area to post them is https://gaminglight.com/forums/forum/521-foundation-test-logs/ When you do so we can assign your test logs to be graded. 2. Looking into our discord (and I could be looking in the wrong place) I can't actually see your name. A excellent way to be promoted (instantly for Jr's) is to attend Masstests or our meetings both of which are told within the discord. But besides from promotions being within our discord is mandatory for being within the Research division and is a great way to get in contact with members of command. If you aren't inside please reply letting me know and I'll set you up for it. After these issues have been correct, I recommend you contact me within game or discord (Train Overlord#9887) and I'll be happy to promote you based on your efforts demonstrated. Thank you for being patient with us and I once again apologise you have been placed in this situation.
  2. Afternoon! I would just like to point out that the individual has received a warn for the RDM of this report. For context, Pills made a sit about the RDM which I had taken in which I discovered the individual had disconnected. I returned Pills and was discussing it with another staff member in which the player reconnected and was brought back to the sit. After confirming the RDM nature of the sit I had issued the warn and returned the player. A LTAP was also not given to the player as the individual was never brought to the sit, claimed technical errors and did rejoin soon after the situation had occurred. I didn't ask or deal with the other aspects of this report with the player as I did not have both parties present and the player report was already made.
  3. Lets see. I was apart of a different SCPRP community and had to leave because during the AEST timezones progress was generally impossible. Cruising by the server lists I noticed Gaminglight had a decent number of pop for the time and the rest is history.
  4. MESSAGE FROM RESEARCH COMMAND …OPENING MESSAGE... Research Test Log Grading. "I would like to apologise for the tardiness in the grading of this document. The previous person was unable to mark it thus it was recently handed to me." Good afternoon Mr. Woods it's a pleasant surprise to mark another one of your documents. Termination logs aren't always common even more so the successful ones. After consideration, this test log is deemed to be of 'Above Average Quality.' This means your test has gone above average expectations for testing and is considered to overall be a well constructed test log. Because of the rarity of such a grading format, the details are now listed below as well as their meanings. At any rate, let's get into the explanation. As always your formatting and writing style is great and effort has been placed into this log. I also appreciate the (OOC roleplay) involved when making the various acids through trial and error. However, I believe some things may have been misunderstood. The biggest issue present within this log is the discrepancies within this test and what we know about SCP-096. While its true SCP-096 has a very resilient regenerative factor our inability to terminate it resides within its bone structure. From what we have seen SCP-096s bone structure is seemingly invincible against all non-anomalies means. Capable of withstanding anti-tank gun which fired over 600 .50 Caliber rounds without so much as taking a scratch in the past. This is why I find it strange a simple knife was able to extract a sample of its bone at the beginning of your log. Some details seem omitted including what compounds were specifically mixed in to make the acid. You also specify that you had cell recordings but there as a absence of visual media Another curious find is the detached samples attempting regeneration. I had to consult with other command members whenever this was a fault or not but concluding it is so. While the specifics of SCP-096s regenerations are not mentioned having its tissue display regenerative abilities doesn't seem possible. Why? Because following what we know of how SCP-096 regenerates it doesn't seem likely. See, SCP-096s regeneration seems to be more tied to how we as humans heal ourselves when we get injured but at a more accelerated rate. Take for example I cut myself either removing a finger, tissue, or some skin over time (granted with some medical attention) the body will slowly heal itself by natural means but the removed skin/body part wouldn't do anything in attempting to heal because it was removed from the main body and would just decay. I always imagined that SCP-096 regenerated as a human but at a much-accelerated rate and that any skin/tissue removed from 096 would just decay and die like anything else. 096 has never needed to regrow limbs as because of the bone structure being invincible its never had the need. If the cells could regenerate themselves after being deattached it would operate the same as Deadpool's regenerative abilities as another command member said. I may be misunderstanding what you were explaining as you haven't made any documented experiments with SCP-096s 'regenerative' cells in the past. It's the opinion of both command members and me that this particular section of SCP-096 isn't very much documented and I would honestly like to see more about it in the future. Anyway, due to its rather vague and unexplored concept, this hasn't weighed on your marking at all but regardless I would it was something I wanted to mention. TESTING GRADING SYSTEM USED Traditionally a numerical system is used for most test grading. Because of the potential for discrepancies between markers in what deserves what numerical number I have adapted my own grading system that I use whenever I mark a test, the potential grades are given below. Null/No effort. - No effort has been placed into the tests construction. Below-Average Quality - A attempt had been made to make a test log but it lacks any kind of coherent format or quality. Little effort is displayed within below-average logs. Average Quality - A test log with standard format, expectations and generally is a normal test log. Those who find themselves within this bracket didn't make a 'bad' test log but rather is at the improvement stage. Generally, lots of JR/AR can find themselves here if its their first test. Above Average Quality - The test log has demonstrated above average abilities at making test logs. Usually made with good test ideas, strong formats, good grammar/punctuation, and a solid concluding result. Those who find themselves here are well-rounded with how to construct and perform tests and are usually well-experienced. Excellent Quality - If one is deemed to have a log of this quality it must be lovely read as those who are given this label have managed to construct a test log going above and beyond standard expectations for test logs demonstrating a complete knowledge on all stages of a test from start to finish. Generally, those with Excellent quality are also aware of how to correctly construct equally wonderful test logs and those who end up in this bracket have a high chance of going strong and fast within the Research Division. Getting an Excellent Quality test log can sometimes be difficult as they require something special to get here or little errors. 'Exemplary Quality' I wonder.
  5. - Have seen on the server and while having a limited number of engagements the ones i do recall have been pleasant. - Application just beams 'dedication' and he has demonstrated this by his position in the Staffing team and this application. - Plenty of experience and knowledge to function effectively as a member of the ET. - Application questions are answered well. - Event has potential for improvement but we aren't exactly asking for a full-sized event detail. Overall, +Support seems like a great fit.
  6. - As everyone has pointed out your application seems rushed and also doesn't meet word requirements but to me it appears that the majority of words you wrote were off-topic to the asked question. - Grammatical errors. - Event idea isn't sufficient. Overall, -Support
  7. A fellow AEST player? Mhm good to see it but lets get into the bread and butter. - Has decent spirit and seems motivated. - Application has met sufficient word limits and nothing is completely out of order. - Grammar and punctuation could use some work. - The answer for 'Why should we allow you to become an ETM' seems somewhat generic, although I acknowledge that could just be me. - DIdn't explain the date of the warns. Had to look at his declined staff application to find out. - Event Idea has potential but I would have liked more detail. - Despite sharing the same timezone I have had no interactions with you nor have I seen you. Overall, I am sticking with -/+Neutral leaning to -Support.
  8. MESSAGE FROM RESEARCH COMMAND …OPENING MESSAGE... Research Test Log Grading. "Most people dislike Sundays because it's the end of the weekend and the start of another week. Do you share this thought?" "Good evening, Dr. Cornwall, must I say in advance that it was a pleasant surprise to read your termination test log. After both reading and viewing your termination log over a few times I have decided it is of 'Exemplary Quality'. This means your test log has gone and exceeded all normal and advanced expectations serving as a foundational basis of what many would call an 'Ideal' test log. "Quite a pleasant read. Firstly let me note that your formatting and font were excellent and well done and you also included information not usually present such as the personnel involved. As for your termination attempt itself, I found your test was intriguing with no problems involved. There was also nothing conflicting with the established facts about either SCPs and lastly, I liked the fact you had visual footage which was made with good quality on top of a detailed log that met a sufficient length. As for changes and improvements admittedly it was difficult to find anything. Possibly the only thing that could have been added is some information/events that occurred before or leading up to the test begun Such as whenever there were issues or complications before starting the test but that is subjective and up to the creator and thus had no effect on the marking. Overall, your termination log was a delight to read and mark and I hope you continue to submit such wonderful works. "Darn not even that worked? At this point Im tempted to fill his CC with cement and leave the bugger there."
  9. MESSAGE FROM RESEARCH COMMAND …OPENING MESSAGE... Research Test Log Grading. " Good afternoon Junior Researcher Joe. I'm assuming that is your name and rank as there is no name listed on your test log. I'm using the name of the email this test log was submitted on to assume the creator but if I am wrong please correct me. After heavy consultation of your test log, it has been deemed that this test log reaches the requirements of an 'Average Quality' test log. This means while there isn't anything fundamentally wrong with your log it does however miss some pretty critical points of interest that rob it of a higher rating. " " Beginning with the positives I found no issues with the idea of the test. You correctly spoke about what occurred leading up to, during, and after the test in a sufficient length and conveyed your results well. There are a few things however that you could improve. Beginning off with arguably the largest you lack any consistent format in this test log. A basic format is provided in the research forms available for all to use that includes your name, rank, and more. I have attached this to this response below. Secondarily there is minor grammatical (incorrect capitalization for example) and spelling errors and Lastly the test idea isn't new however you have formulated it into an entertaining read. " The link to the basic research test log format is below. I personally recommend you install our highly specialized and advanced engine called 'google documents' as it allows more creative freedom when creating logs that can earn higher grades. For convenience, I have linked that as well. " " However, please do not let this discourage you. Overall, for a new researcher within the research division, you did an excellent job for your first log and if this log was compared to those of your rank it would be much higher. I am personally excited for seeing you grow within the research division and I look forward to seeing more work from you. 10. o7. We shall be awaiting your return
  11. MESSAGE FROM RESEARCH COMMAND …OPENING MESSAGE... Research Test Log Grading. "Good morning Mr Woods after receiving your test log deep consideration has gone into judging the quality of it. After some deep consideration, I have decided your test log is of 'Excellent' quality. This means your test log has reached and gone above standard expectations for normal test logs and overall, you have done a wonderful job in constructing it." "What stands out to me is the test idea itself is interesting as it's rare for SCP-106 to be cross-tested with any SCPs and the concluding results are equally good. However, there are some downfalls. Firstly, I believe your log could be longer. More specifically, who and how did you transport SCP-049, was there any barriers to testing and generally any details that didn't occur immediately inside the test. Also images could be implemented into your log to make it of a higher quality. However, I acknowledge the fact that because this was from a mass test you did not have long to think and prepare the test idea itself. " "While this hasn't affected your grading as I was reading your log I was quite concerned with the danger SCP-049 was posed with. Dangers are guaranteed to exist when cross-testing however I would like to see in future testing that the SCPs are protected by some measure. If SCP-106 had taken SCP-049 it's safe to say we may have never got it back." " Overall, excellent work. I am excited to see more from you and find out what SCP-049 wanted to cure from SCP-106. "
  12. +Support - App is of sufficient length - Seen in-game and has a consistent activity level. - Doing more than 2 questions to me is more of a testament of his knowledge and showing of his commitment to want this role. Doing something beyond what is expected should be something praised for in majority cases. - Been in the community for a sufficient time to get a grip on everything. - Had a few interactions and couldn't find anything to negative at.
  13. *cough* Meant for that. I reported it so it shall be moved shortly hopefully.

  16. Name: TrainOverlord SteamID: STEAM_0:0:95000511 Current Rank: Senior Researcher Time in Research (Estimate): 25+ Days Why do you believe you should be in Research Command? (100-word requirement): Leadership Being within any kind of command position requires a foundational level and willingness to learn of basic leadership qualities which requirements will only increase as one progresses through command positions. I strongly believe that I have achieved the leadership qualities necessary to have confidence in my belief to join into Research Command. In particularly I make reference to my ‘Servant Leadership’. A leadership quality in which the leader prioritises serving the people. I like to think I embody this and is critical to being in any position of leadership. I believe I should be in research command because I am of the opinion I am suited for the role processing knowledge, dedication overall displaying the attitude to match the job. Evidence of this can be found throughout my researching career demonstrating Servant Leadership by assisting newer Researchers through the server, assisting in testing, and answering any questions thrown my way. While I am not the oldest researcher on the whitelist I feel as if I have been here for months. My knowledge and leadership potential will only continue to grow should I be accepted into research command, and I look forward to the opportunities presented. Dedication Another reason I strongly believe I am suited in research command is the dedication I provide to the branch and the community. While I can be lazy at times I am often euthanistic and overachieving when it comes to places and roles in which I genuinely enjoy with the research branch being one of them. Evidence of this can be found in my test logs (all of which are under a single tag for easy access) in which are extensive in-depth and detail. While I understand there isn’t much for an individual applying for research command I assure you that I have plenty on the waiting list that has been approved waiting to be performed (4 by my counting). I undertake a quality over quantity design however there have been difficulties to get tests done promptly but be assured that this will be resolved in the short future. Other through testing dedication can be seen by my activity on the server which when not spent jumping through the halls of LCZ are spent assisting researchers and just communicating with whoever I may stumble across. My activity is reflected in my dedication being spent at a steady rate. What can you bring to the table that others can't? (100-word requirement): Maintaining Presence I feel through personal experience and by the opinions of others, people are most often given motivation and drive when being watched by those within command. While this isn’t specifically because of the prospect of promotion but simply because they are aware that their efforts are being watched and acknowledged. While we can inform researchers of our gratitude maintaining a physical presence will always be the best option. With my activity and timezone, I believe I can maintain an effective presence for the researchers within my timezone providing motivation and a drive to strive further within the division which is a motivation that is essential to being active. While I'm not necessarily saying that the concept of maintaining a presence is something unique to me it's something that only a few can utilize within the AEST timezone bringing this card onto the table. Quality Fuelled by my dedication and passion I can provide quality in my actions and behaviour acting within research command and giving aid whenever needed which is arguably my unique skill in my cards. Whenever it's continuing to provide quality testing logs, providing training, assisting in enquiries, or perhaps giving aid in the creation of documents or whatever new responsibilities I may be provided within research command. Regardless of the task, I can ensure it can be delivered with a bar of quality which is something I can bring to the table. What would you do to better Research and increase activity? (100-word requirement): Encourage Collaborations by ‘Projects’ Arguably, the primary reasons that researchers begin to lose their activity can be blamed on a few faults A. They lose motivation B. They run out of valuable test ideas or, C. They can feel isolated or alone in comparison to other branches (due to pop or TS) A solution to the following can be all be fixed or assisted by the use of the greater collaboration of researchers beyond simply spectating or giving opinions on each other’s tests. Instead of spectating a fellow researchers test why not work together on a test? Mass SCP Tests work on that very concept which is why it’s an effective method of gathering researchers. I want to take that concept further by implementing some kind of group project. It’s a rough idea in the works but the concept is that researchers can suggest projects to be worked on which is approved by command (command obv doesn’t require approval if they make one) an example would be “More effective methods of containing our housed SCPs” or “How to dispose of SCP-035’s acid more efficiently.” Once approved command posts the project on the forums where other Researchers can join the Project. Projects can be both purely RP, purely ingame or a mix and work as a more rewarding and advanced way of testing. Instead of testing to get an instant answer, it’s a series of smaller tests from different researchers working towards a single objective together. Researchers can post their findings (on the same thread with a similar format) and can communicate with each other on alternatives or findings and make tests by building off the findings gathered. Incentive wise can be promotions or ingame rewards. Some kind of way of rewarding the researchers for working together. Thanks for reading!

  18. You did this to me ingame directly. Cant believe I fell for it twice.
  19. What is your in-game name?: TrainOverlord What is your steam name?: TrainOverlord What is your steam ID?: STEAM_0:0:95000511 What is your discord username (Ex: Rookieblue#2667): Train Overlord#9887 Do you have any other experience with staffing?: (If yes, explain): I was previously a Moderator last year. I cant recall how long specifically however. I am also apart of the Event Team although I just noticed I do not have the forum rank. What date did you start playing on the community? (roughly) Roughly June 2018. What date did you make your forums account?: 8th of June 2018 How many warnings do you have on all GL servers? N/A What is your donor rank? (User, Silver, Gold, etc): User Are you a staff member in another community? No Have you read the staff handbook? Yes Timezone: AEST Why do you believe that you deserve the rank? (150 Word Minimum) (I promise it will be short this time.) I firmly believe I deserve the rank of trial moderator simply because of what I can bring to the staffing team on SCPRP. Personality With my friendly, outgoing, and eccentric personality, I would be a unique fit in the staffing team as a trial moderator approaching staffing situations as both a staff member and a player of the community maintaining balance between it. Despite my friendly manner, I am capable of switching to a more serious manner when required in more serious situations. When it comes to staffing on the server, I believe my personality will significantly assist me in handling both average sits and those that may spiral into arguments by the two parties. A staff member is the 3rd party in most commonly a dispute between the two or more parties, and thus the staff member needs to maintain a line of professionalism to carry out their duty effectively, and I believe I deserve the rank of moderator as I can carry this out., Capability. When it comes to staffing in the community, one expects the staff member to be holding themselves higher than an average player in the community in both knowledge and understanding. Both of which I believe I have thoroughly nailed down through both experience and practice. I have had a small dose of experience in staffing through my developing time in the Event Team and my previous experience in staffing the community last year at a similar rank. I abide by the idea that I deserve the rank of trial moderator as I have belief in my capabilities to perform my role efficiently, maintaining an impartial and empathetic perspective in staffing if I was to be accepted. Equipped with the dedication not to lack my responsibilities and to accept all sits regardless of the reasoning, I strongly believe I would be effective as a trial moderator if I was to be accepted. Given my timezone, it's not common to see sits begin to stack up unattended on my screen because of a lack of staff at the time, and I believe I can manage and deal with this problem. Scenario questions: Q1: How would you handle someone that is Mass RDMing and when you bring him/her to an admin sit all they do is curse at you? = After bringing the individual to the staff sit I will calmly attempt to resolve the situation. If they do nothing but curse at me I would warn that their continued actions may result in a temporary mute/gag. If they stop I would explain the severity of their actions and ask for their motivation towards doing it. While they are explaining I would go over relevant logs and afterwards, I would contact either a Moderator or Admin (most likely Admin) to hand out the required punishment since I do not have the ability to do so on my own. Q2: You are involved in a staff sit that involves 5 different players. The players begin to get frustrated and the sit becomes very toxic and unproductive. What would you do in this situation? = I would ask everyone to stop speaking firstly. If people continue to speak I would warn of a potential temporary mute/gag. Once the players stop speaking I would ask each player to speak individually of their side and begin joint discussions of the individuals whos story relates to each other. If the sit continues to become toxic or unproductive and unmanageable by myself I would ask assistance from a Moderator or higher if none were available.
  20. Gotta be Friday. Friday is the only day where i dont have any UNI classes which gives me Friday, Saturday and Sunday to do nothing so thats 3 days without attending classes.
