Implementing certain models and scripts from the Advanced Medic Mod (beakers, jars, syringes, and chemicals) to create a working amnestic system. How would this change better the server? The addon would positively impact the RP experience of those who create the amnestics as well as those who they are administered to. The ability to create working amnestics opens up new avenues for medical research RP by incentivizing the use of the research lab (which is currently never utilized) and creating a tangible in-game activity (a reason for more people to play on the MS branch). Players who have been given amnestics will have physical evidence of what has been done to them, further enhancing their RP experience. Are there any disadvantages of making this change to the server? If so, explain. Increasing server lag (however this addon is smaller than most custom class models at 8MB) Spawn menu abuse (only specific medical related classes that have been trained will be able to use this) Owner/Manager labor (The addon will not be usable upon download, chemical names will need to be changed to fit those used in amnestics and purchasable entities will need to be made so they can be bought with the current currency system) Who would this change mostly benefit? Medical Services / Testing RP Additional Comments The intent (if possible) is to only add necessary mixing / chemical / injection entities from the addon, additional entities such as ambulance skins, blood bags, radiography machines are to be omitted unless there is a demand found for them. Authorized personnel would ideally be able to purchase chemicals / beakers / syringes, use them to create the amnestic of choice and when injected into another player, an alert would appear informing them of what they have been injected with and its effects (so that they may appropriately RP the situation). Other stuff like this would help out a lot for RP and make it more fun for newer people. Possibly making them want to stay around medical longer. The weapon skins were a gmodstore addon Although unrelated, they all have a chance. A large chunk of content addons on the server come from the gmodstore. Igneous Posted February 28, 2021 Share Posted February 28, 2021 I know there is a lot of support for this, however I am still going to deny this for a couple reasons. For starters, we've examined this addon in the past to add and we didn't add it because it makes somewhat the entire server rely on medical, which isn't really the point.
