Derek!
What you want to see? - Moving away from the enforcement of 10 codes over to plain speechWhy should we add it? - Department interoperability so that various disciplines can effectively share information. What are the advantages of having this? - 10 Codes are not fully understood by everyone and change for every department so a 10 code for EMS can be different for State, Cert, ETC.Who is it mainly for? - SWAT, Cert, SS, EMS, PD, State, DOC.Links to any content - Guide on changing to plain speech - https://www.fema.gov/media-library-data/20130726-1824-25045-1506/plain_language_guide.pdf, Federal document mandating the change to plain speech - https://www.fema.gov/pdf/emergency/nims/fy07_comp_guide_st.pdf
Not Daft
Uhm +Support I think?aslong as no 10 codes because even tho ive been aru, swat, state,ss,fbi,pd low command ive never known a single code...
steakhouse guy
it adds realism the codes the only problem is I always use Australian ones so no one understands what I am saying due to when i say code 1 response im meaning code 3 in American terms so they all take there time. Half the time i do not use 10 codes as its not a big thing where i live we just tell our problems in a normal plain chat no fancy things. Mervin
I use them all the times when I’m on PD or Sheriffs or BSI/FBI I mean it’s not that hard to have a side tab open and look at them if your confused. -Support as 10 codes add realism and if people don’t know what they mean they can learn it’s not that difficult. ~Mervin

Just Johnathen
This is why nobody is on dispatch, it should be a requirement for low command or departments to know it.

Dashiell
People are saying it 10 codes add realism, however most local agencies no longer use ten codes at all, or don't use them in emergency situations, I remember a quote from a former sheriff who once said "If you're being shot at, you want to say your being shot at, not remember some code" +Support (I support removing them all together, or remove them in emergency situations to add realism) Sources and articles (Because I know people will try to say I'm bsing)In addition to the fema documents abovehttp://www.pantagraph.com/news/local/radio-codes-still-common-used-less-nationally/article_a31a608c-6ff6-11de-b2cc-001cc4c03286.htmlhttps://www.npr.org/templates/story/story.php?storyId=113738105http://www.hendonpub.com/resources/article_archive/results/details?id=3615http://alaskalandmobileradio.org/CLWG/IACP plain language.pdfhttp://www.dothaneagle.com/news/local-agencies-divided-on-future-of-dispatch-codes/article_2d64010f-097b-5fd7-8097-c3a861952787.htmletc Edited April 9, 2018 by Dashiell

Spection
-SupportThe 10 codes are not that hard, every department uses them, and this is an American server. ARU was removed as we feel it doesn't suit the theme, so by removing the 10 codes, you are just taking something that adds to the theme of the map. Yes, they are hard to remember but you have to use them. They are faster and for some people, easier. Wow

Winter
Huge -Support Maybe in real life it’s harder to remember when being shot at but in the server it really isn’t hard to understand or remember.
