  1. -/+ Support. Your test logs are exceptional, and I commend you for the labor you have clearly put into them. I only take issue with the length and composition of your application. You were formerly in Alpha-1 as a member of squadron you are applying for, and that is a huge plus. Go into detail on what you did as an Analyst previously, the skills you learned and applied as a member. I feel like the question responses have so much potential that isn't being used, and I highly encourage you completely overhaul your application. It is clear you are qualified, as you have a senior research rank, excellent test logs to show for it, and a former tenure in Alpha-1. Expound your qualifications, sell yourself, put your heart into each question. I wish you the best of luck, and I hope my comments meet you well. With all the best of wishes, ~ Rinzler
  2. -/+ Support. Your application is well-written, though I wish it were longer. It has pointed substance and only minor filler, for the most part it is apt and straightforward. I only take issue with is your experience. Utility is an important aspect of the Engineer squadron, but proven competence in combat, leadership, critical thinking, and server related affairs through experience in a variety of branches is what I would believe to be the keystone of a successful Alpha-1 Application. I would encourage you to rank up in GENSEC or apply on the forums to either Delta-5 or Nu-7 to build hands-on experience with the MTF branch. I wish you the best of luck in your endeavours. ~ Rinzler
  3. Outstanding Test Logs, it displays the work you are willing to put in and the dedication you have.
  4. - Support. I unfortunately am going to -support this application. Due in part to your disciplinary record, lack of experience/playtime on the server, and application content. I would encourage you to build your standing in many different branches as your schedule permits, and to completely overhaul your question responses. Filler is a major issue that applications of all sorts in all professions face, and it is a problem here as well. Go into detail on the experience with the needed subject matter you have accrued over time. Explain your experiences here at GamingLight and build off of them, state how they have improved you, expanded your knowledge, etc. Reaffirming that you will do what is expected of you in Alpha-1 is not what I would consider to be a satisfactory explanation of why you should be let in. Explain how you will go above and beyond, explain what sets you apart. As for the warns, none of them being here at SCP RP is a plus, but taking responsibility for them and explaining how you have grown since them certainly wouldn't hurt. Making an application and submitting it is a nerve-racking process, and that anxiety is only worsened when red text starts popping up below. I understand, and I have experienced that before. Take it in stride and make this attempt the best it can possibly be. I encourage you to receive this well and use it as fuel to rejuvenate your application. With the best of wishes, ~ Rinzler
  5. Only positive comments from me, excellent application.
  6. UPDATE Quite a bit has happened since the original application was posted, so I feel it's only appropriate to give a proper update. I have since received certifications in: - RG, BHM, MCU, CBRN, CTF, MRK, CS, and E-11 FTO. I submitted a Warrant Officer application in Nu-7, which has received considerable support. I have also received introductory training for the Medical and Research departments respectively. As for promotions, in MTF Nu-7 and MTF D-5, I have recently hit Master Sergeant. The same day, I was promoted to CPL in E-11. I was also elevated to FTO from JFTO in MTF Nu-7 and D-5. I was also selected as Nu-7 of the Week for the weeks of 4/10/22 and 4/17/22. I continue to dedicate increasing levels of time and effort into all manner of duties in service to the Foundation, while broadening my technical knowhow and experience. I appreciate all who have left feedback, and to all who have taken the time to read these messages. ~ Rinzler
  7. General Information Name: Rinzler Current Rank: SSGT I understand and accept that in the event of a positive verdict, I will have a two-week period of evaluation. I currently have no warnings on SCP-RP or on any GamingLight affiliated server. Evidence is attached below. Why I feel that I should be trusted with Command I have previously served in a myriad of staff positions across multiple communities, ranging from squad lead to executive management. I am familiar with operational security protocols and handling classified or sensitive information, combat tactics in the Source engine, and leadership of all forms. I can think critically and adapt rapidly to counter challenging circumstances and meet demanding objectives with limited intelligence, manpower, and resources. I am very familiar with how to construct and maintain complex systems of military-based hierarchy, and I have a comprehensive understanding of the duties which a Warrant Officer must discharge. I possess exceptional skills in the field of administration, C3 (Command, Control, Communications), and document creation. I have a lot to bring to the table, and I want to apply it to a group I care about. I have proven myself in all MTF branches, reaching NCO in two and CPL in one. Why I believe I deserve this position, and why I want it The activity and dedication I have displayed in the weeks preceding this application, my involvement in all subdivisions, tenure as an FTO, and my willingness to do all that I can to serve this branch in the best way possible are all factors which contribute to why I believe I deserve the position I am applying for. My skill set, which I intend to continue to apply in service to Nu-7, as well as my proven dedication also further develop my position. Enlisting as a member of Nu-7 was my day one goal after logging onto SCP-RP for the first time way back in November of last year. Being where I am right now, backed up with my accomplishments, dedication, competence, and activity, I feel that I am ready to take the next big step forward. Why I feel that I am the best option for Warrant Officer To my knowledge, there are no other active Warrant Officer applicants to compare and contrast myself to. However, I believe that the distinct skill and experience I have could make a significant positive impact on the branch. I have the dedication and combat expertise to lead operatives with gallantry, I have the experience in military operations and administration to work in service to enlisted personnel as a mentor, and l have the competence to operate effectively and lethally on the ground. SCENARIOS You've organized squads for the people on at the time. You notice that a PFC is disrespecting others, in an extremely frustrated tone. What actions do you take? Answer I would act in one of two ways in this situation, depending on one variable; Whether or not the PFC is targeting his/her disrespect to a particular group of individuals. Assuming that the PFC in question is indiscriminately disrespecting/harassing FF personnel, I would first attempt to get into contact with an available member of Low Command, utilizing their advice and perspective, my priority would be to establish a possible motive for their behavior by taking them aside to an isolated channel in TeamSpeak or in-game at a secure location. I would ask why they are acting the way they are, what may have caused it, whether it helped solve their predicament, and what should be done moving forward. If they fail to act cooperatively or continue to act in an unsatisfactory manner to myself or other FF personnel, I would report the issue to Nu-7 Low Command for guidance on what further disciplinary action should be taken. Until that has been sorted, I would isolate the problematic operative. Assuming that the PFC in question is targeting his/her harassment to a particular person or group of people, my first two steps would be to notify an available member of Nu-7 Low Command of the situation, and then separate the problematic operative from his/her targets, by all reasonable means necessary. If separating aggressor from aggressed is unsuccessful in quelling the conflict, I would proceed with investigative steps similar to that I would take in the previous answer. You have a problem with someone in the branch, whether it be they are causing issues or are not listening to you. They have not done this or have been warned about this before. In your opinion, what would you do in this situation? Answer My answer for this situation changes depending on the rank and position of the person I have an issue with. Assuming that the individual is above or at my level of the chain of command, I would first attempt to discuss my concerns and/or issues with the person in a non-confrontational and professional manner. If this fails to defuse the situation, I would do my absolute best to minimize my association and involvement with them. If circumstance, chain of command, or combat requires me to interact with them, I will operate regularly but be certain to collect proper evidence of any misdoing on their part, so that I may file a formal complaint against them to their superior officer. Assuming that the individual is enlisted or a Non-Commissioned Officer, attempting to talk things out with them remains the go to option. If the issues I have with them remain solely personal, I will do my best to minimize contact. If circumstance requires our interaction, I will operate regularly with professionalism. If the issues they are causing align with definitions of insubordination or violate the SOP/MOTD, I will follow the same investigative and disciplinary process in conjunction with Nu-7 Low Command detailed in the previous situation response. Thank you for your time and consideration. Secure. Contain. Protect.
  8. -Support. The few times I have interacted with you, you have seemed like a good person who is professional when necessary and dedicated. Even so, I have multiple concerns. Experience: While not absolutely necessary, experience in a variety of branches is definitely a plus. It displays an ability to manage and meet varying standards and responsibilities simultaneously. It shows that you are active in the community, and that you are willing to learn and do more. This factor does not gage your competence, but it measures your involvement. I would encourage you to give a utility or research or security a try, just to broaden your knowledge and experience. Application: This my largest and most pressing concern. As Romeo-13 initially pointed out, this application and its responses are short, but not concise in a comprehensive manner. Even if it was packed full of valuable substance, a single sentence to explain why you believe you should be let in is just not adequate. It is terse, it is low-effort. Your skills, your experience, your qualifications, your history, make it the centerpiece of your reply. Do not tell me you are qualified, show me. These major elements are lacking or not present at all. In short, your application lacks substance, and this can change with revision. Diction: While this is more of a nitpick than the others, I still believe it is an important factor in applications. Word choice communicates your view on things, your mood, and your understanding. The application comes off as lackadaisical, I have reached this interpretation as a result of its length, and the lack of flow between sections. I suggest you receive my advice well and completely overhaul your application, I believe it would serve you very well. The fact that this review of your application is longer than the application itself is telling. You have all the time in the world and the history to back up your ambitions, make use of it! I have no issue with you, the critical nature of my feedback stems from a desire to support you, and to encourage improvement. I highly recommend you take what I have said to heart, and revise your entry. Have an outstanding day and I hope this all meets you well. Cordially, Rinzler

  10. -Support. Far from fit for RRH service. Demonstrates an inability to receive valid forms of criticism, even when reassured. Unclear on the procedure of application, demonstrates an unfamiliarity with need-to-know concepts. Poor record. Multiple serious warnings, with no clear sign of learning from them, or reference to and explanation made for them in the application itself. Please note that this message does not intend to demoralize or harrass you on any level. I write my feedback sharply when I see fit in order to point out valid faults in applications. I encourage you to clean up your community interaction, take yourself, what is asked and expected of you, and this program seriously if you intend to revisit it in the future. You may also want to consider not being argumentative with individuals who give you application feedback, it is not a good look.
  11. - Support I personally believe you should widen your involvement in the server, and build your standing in a variety of branches. I understand and share your willingness to do more and learn more, but experience and playtime should be built before attempting entry to Alpha-1. You are still a junior member in Maintenance and Epsilon-11, you have yet to earn your stripes. I highly encourage you to do that, and revisit this ambition at a later date. Aside from the content of the application, it could be written better. Multiple grammatical errors are present, and much of each paragraph is filler (Explain how you are skilled in these ways, and how you have learned those skills). While this admittedly has not been the most positive message of feedback, I commend you for putting yourself out there. I highly recommend you take my advice to heart and edit your application. Please note that this message does not intend to put you down or discourage you. It is intended to render what I see as necessary feedback for the improvement of your entry chances. Cordially, Rinzler
  12. Name: Rinzler Steam ID32: STEAM_0:1:433360051 Squadron: Guardian Currently held RP Ranks/Certifications Mobile Task Force Delta-5 Master Sergeant - IRO, FTO, CTF Operative Mobile Task Force Nu-7 Master Sergeant - JCA, JFE, ITR, FTO, BHM, CBRN, JMCU Mobile Task Force Epsilon-11 Corporal - JCE, CM, MRK, JFTO Other Security OFC Resident Medic Experienced Researcher Maintenance Journeyman, NCS Preferred 05 to Guard N/A Current Warnings None (As pictured in attachment) Why I Want to Join the RRH Team Being in a Mobile Task Force has been my main goal since the first time I joined this server. Having accrued considerable experience in all other branches of the MTF faction, receiving whitelists, trainings, promotions, I feel that it is finally time to return to the grand objective of joining Alpha-1. Serving the foundation, the MTF faction, and dedicating even more time and effort into this server while playing as one of its most esteemed whitelists is something that I want to do. Having played on many other roleplay servers, both on and off of Garry's Mod, never have I seen a server with as strong a player base, culture, staff team, and conventions as GamingLight's SCP RP. I want to reach new heights, further broaden my involvement and experience here in the MTF faction, and aim high with my goals. Why I feel that I am qualified I have a wide range of experience and knowledge in the fields of military operations (both digital and real), the SCP universe, field leadership, and administration. This skillset has been grown and adapted over the course of my tenure in a variety of both real and digital organizations. What I have achieved in these organizations, and what they are, is gone into depth with the resume I have attached to this application. In impulse HL2RP's VICE Civil Protection subdivision, I gained exceptional competence and training with regard to HVT guarding and transportation, repelling small to large scale assaults, and performing lethal counter-attacks. In Fleet Command, a Xbox based Grand Theft Auto military simulation, I accrued knowledge and experience in squad based tactics, field leadership, and how to formulate and maintain complex military-style unit structures. In the United Militaries Association, a Discord based network of military simulation groups from across Xbox, PC, and PlayStation communities, I developed experience with vast amount of technical fields. I learned how to handle the power and responsibility of classified information, I learned the processes of intelligence collection and application in special warfare, and I learned how to work with people. Finally, here in my time at SCP RP, I have developed an in-depth understanding of the subject matter, the operations of each faction and each subcomponent, the MOTD, and how the game is played. While not all of what I have learned over the years could reasonably be applied here, I believe it all serves as an incredibly strong foundation from which I can serve Alpha-1, and the MTF faction in a higher capacity. While in comparison to other applicants and members, I may not possess exceptionally high ranks in the branches I am in, I believe that in the past and present, in applications and in the field, I have proven an ability to operate as a proficient leader, follower, fighter, researcher, engineer, and guardian. I can adapt easily and think quickly to meet rising challenges, and dynamic obstacles. I can understand and execute orders with precision, haste, and efficiency. It is all of this that I want to apply in service to Alpha-1. This, is why I feel that I am qualified. I sincerely appreciate your time and consideration. Secure. Contain. Protect. 13. Well written and straightforward, no filler. Experienced researcher and MTF operator. High ranks, proving dedication and capability. Every interaction I have had with you has been positive, and numerous times you have proven to me an ability to put in practice forward leadership in the face of unfavorable odds. I think you would be well suited for Alpha-1. +SUPPORT
