That seems to match up with what I saw in chat. Will leave the rest up to staff with logs or anything but what you say makes sense.

+Support I was there for that event. There was tons of crossfire from everyone involved. The trees on the planet made it difficult to see what exactly was going on, and droids were spawning behind us for parts of it as well in a confined space. After I saw him get banned, I was a bit confused, as I had heard about how he was brought earlier and told he was fine. Did he actually kill 8 people? Probably not. Accidentally shooting 8 people during an event =/= actually killing them. This really just seems like a case of someone going through logs and pursuing old ones to get a few extra bans under their belt way after the situation actually happened, especially with how he was told he was all good beforehand. Very curious to see what Klondu has to say regarding this. @cpass423 Who was the staff that told you that you were fine again?

FYI: Through some testing SMT will need to manually place some of the guns to make them look nicer, but even if they did it just for E11 and some of the more basic guns that most things have it would be easy enough.

It should be a requirement of ALL HC to make background posts for the betterment of roleplay.

Without screenshots of the chats in question, or even referencing the time zone you are in for that time, it is difficult for people to vote on this. I think you should go in game and make a sit to have some find and screenshot the logs for you so you can put them here. Also, could you please elaborate on what exactly is wrong with his sits or what he does that is rude?

While I do think that staff members should avoid taking sits regarding people inside their battalions, this should not be a demotion. Staff are able to give warnings for things if they see fit. -1 you can always ask for a different staff member by the way, and try to stay calm in your reports here.
