  1. Your In-Game Name: Raptor STEAM ID: STEAM_0:0:526970293 How long have you been playing on the server for?: I have been playing on the server for almost 2 years. List all of the RP ranks you hold on the server. (MTF, Gensec, Etc.) : Currently I hold no active ranks on the server, although I am a retired Major from Gensec. What Command position are you applying for? (list two): I am applying for LTCOL and MAJ Why do you want to become Delta-5 Command? (250+ Words): I want to become Delta-5 “Front Runners” Command for 2 main reasons, but also a third reason that plays into the second reason. The first reason I want to become D5 Command is the “Redacted” side of the branch. Throughout my time in Gensec, I would always see the RRH Guardians and D4 Operatives. I thought they were the coolest thing and I was deeply interested in joining the RRH Guardian Squadron. Unfortunately, there were many others who had similar aspirations at the time and were ultimately picked over me. I see Delta-5 “Front Runners” as a new second chance to become one of these “redacted” units that I previously was heavily desiring to become. My second reason for wanting to become Delta-5 “Front Runners” Command is my want to come back to the server and the great and awesome community that comes along with the server itself. During summer, I was still a proud Major in Gensec. I really enjoyed the branch but I found myself not wanting to get on due to a combination of being burnt out and marching band-related activities sucking up the last of my free time available. Even though it may have been hard to tell from the outside, having to leave Gensec was not very easy for me as I really enjoyed the branch and all the people I met inside the branch’s command. Now that winter is coming, the marching band season is coming to a swift end. I will have LOADS of free time and I would love to get to spend it back on the server as a part of a new branch led by some people I know very well from my previous experiences on the server. My third and final reason for wanting to become Delta 5 “Front Runners” Command is my passion for GamingLight SCP-RP and the people who make the community as awesome as it is. Back when I joined GamingLight SCP-RP I was very bored. I had previously been doing lots of military simulation/roleplay-type stuff with the game ARMA 3 and Battlefield 4. I had been doing these simulation/roleplay groups for a few years and had gotten really bored with it. As soon as I joined GamingLight SCP-RP and enlisted into Gensec, I instantly felt welcomed, accepted, respected, and valued. It was a place where I could be having the worst day of my life, but still, I could have a place to leave all the bad things in my life behind and truly have a great time. The people who I worked with were huge role models for me and really taught me so many things that I would have never learned if I hadn’t joined when I did. Now that I am coming back into the community, my number one goal and aspiration is to re-create this type of experience for others that I was so privileged to be a part of. By joining Delta-5 “Front Runners” Command, hopefully, as Senior Command or higher, I promise to strive to re-create this magical world of fun, imagination, and friendliness to the best of my ability through showing my ever-lasting dedication, determination, and strength. If being in Gensec for as long as I was taught me anything, it will not be easy. The fact of the matter is nothing in our world today that is truly good will ever come easy. Why do you feel you are the best option for this position? (150+ Words): I feel that I am the best option for LTCOL/MAJ for 3 reasons. First, my dedication to my branch. In and out I am extremely dedicated. Throughout my time on GamingLight, I have almost exclusively played as a part of Gensec. Each time I would join another branch on the side being a part of Gensec CMD, I would always find myself leaving these branches shortly after joining because something happened in Gensec that I felt required my attention and therefore I felt comfortable putting 100% of my effort and time on the server into whatever happened. My second reason is my ability to analyze and read hostile situations extremely quickly, and then lead groups of people to succeed in these harsh situations. If you think about what Gensec leadership inside of D-Block effectively does, we are constantly analyzing situations, making inferences based on what we have analyzed, and then instructing people around us to be successful in real-time. D-Block is filled with hostile situations, involving many constantly changing variables that must be accounted for each second. As an example, there are constantly D-Class, D-Class CC’s, CI Infils and raids, researchers and MTF coming in to collect D-Class, SCP’s to be fed and re-contained, Sarkick raids, and many others. In this type of environment, the smallest thing you overlook can easily be yours, and the rest of the LCZ’s downfall. This creates very stressful situations that very few people are able to contend with effectively. I spent half a year leading in these environments and have gained overwhelming amounts of experience dealing with these stress-filled environments. Finally, my third reason for why I feel that I am the best option for Delta-5 "Front-Runners" Command is because I am a retired member, and now that I coming back into the community, I will be able to fully dedicate myself to Delta-5 "Front-Runners" unlike many of the other candidates for LTCOL/MAJ. I spent a few months getting some variety with other games/servers and now that I am coming back, I will be fully refreshed and ready to pour every ounce of energy I have into Delta-5 "Front-Runners". I am ready and prepared to stay up as late as I am needed and to be on as early as I am requested. Why should we trust you for this position?: Simply put, I have an excellent reputation around the server, I am a trustworthy person, I have plenty of previous leadership experience, and I show dedication, determination, and strength at every level of what I do. Do you have past leadership / command experience? If so please list them. (Limit it to Gmod only please): I spent around 5 to 7 months as a part of Security LCMD and SCMD. You are in LCZ and Security is requesting assistance due to a Mass D Block Riot; however, Chaos Insurgency has been called out for taking a SCP in HCZ. What would you do in this situation, and why?: First thing I would do is figure out how many Delta 5 “Front Runners” are online. If there are more than 8 or so online, I would send one enlisted and one NCO down to D-Block to assist Gensec and keep the other Delta-5 “Front Runners”. If there are not enough Delta-5 “Front Runners” operatives online, I prioritize the CI raid over D-Block. You come face to face to a Junior Researcher in LCZ. They are going on and on about a suspected breached SCP nearby. They do not seem trustworthy and have a bad track record. What do you do in this situation?: I make note of what the researcher has told me and ask around in Foundation Forces Comms if anyone is aware of any breaches. If no one is aware of any breaches and it seems like the researcher may be lying to get attention, I will have a Delta-5 “Front Runners” Senior NCO stay with the researcher while I lead a group of operatives to the location of the breach to investigate the situation. Either way Delta-5 “Front Runners” operatives would be sent to deal with the breached SCP if there is one. What would you do if those under your command are not following orders and are breaking the SOP?: Depending on the severity of what all they did, I may do a couple of things. If it was a minor incident and the rule they broke wasn't a major rule, I would most likely sit down with the individual responsible and talk with them about what they did wrong, how it could have been prevented, and how to prevent a similar incident from occurring again. As long as respect and maturity is preserved throughout the talk, I will generally be fairly forgiving. On the other hand, If a serious incident happened where multiple important rules were broken, I would still have the same talk that I mentioned before with the individual who was responsible. After talking with them, I would then consider everything that happened, and if possible I would attempt to give them a decision in regards to their punishment. I find that giving people a decision to make about how they will be punished typically leads to fewer repeat offenders and is worth the extra time and effort if It will prevent future mishaps. How would you react to someone asking to be put into Delta-5 without a tryout and to be fast promoted?: I would instantly make other CMD aware of what is happening and make sure they are checking when members are being promoted to keep another mishap from occurring. I am all for awarding those who prove themselves to be above what is asked of them, but there are promotion cool downs for a reason. Explain how you would react to receiving an anonymous tip about a GOI group: I would listen to what the tip details. I likely would be a little hesitant at first to send an entire fireteam of enlisted to the area due to the anonymous nature of the information. However there would still be D5 Operatives sent to the situation, they would just be coming into the situation with more situational awareness and the idea of expecting it to be a trap to ensure they are prepared for the worst if the tip turns out to be of malicious nature. Do you promise to uphold your duties as a command member of Delta-5 and to represent Delta-5 to the public?: Yes Do you promise to be committed to Delta-5 and to lead by example if you are accepted into Delta-5?: Yes Do you promise to treat others with respect, listen to superiors, hear out your subordinates, and live up to your name as Delta-5 Command?: Yes Thank you for taking the time to read my application! - Raptor
  2. Name: Raptor Rank: MAJ Date (MM/DD): 6/11 Date you will return (MM/DD): 6/20 Previous LOA (If applicable): None that I can remember Reason (can be private): Going to the beach and will not be able to bring my PC with me.
  3. In Game Name: Raptor Steam ID (Ex. STEAM_0:1:91255427) STEAM_0:0:526970293 Squadron you are Applying for (Guardian, Engineer, Analyst): Guardian Current RP Ranks Held: Major in Security, RCT in E11 If applying for Red Right Hand preferred O5 to guard: Any How many Warns do you have? (With Screenshot Proof) 4, all are very old. Why do you want to join the O5 staff team: I want to join the O-5 Staff Team for a couple of different reasons. First, the amount of new situations and fun scenarios that come with joining O-5 are truly like no other on the server. From intense combat protecting the foundation’s most important to the calm escorts for O-5, I am excited and ready for them all. Next, the responsibilities that come with being able to Guard O-5 is something that really excites me. Knowing that the life of someone who is extremely important is in my hands is something that fills me with confidence and excitement. My last reason is the people I will meet and the connections I will gain from becoming RRH. Later on in my time in GL SCPRP, I aspire to some very difficult goals. One of these is the idea of one day becoming the HOS or possibly even going higher. I understand very well that it is extremely difficult and that is part of why I want to do it, and it largely plays into my reason for joining RRH Guardians. I believe that becoming RRH will help me establish strong, long-lasting bonds with the very people who will later be making that decision. In the world we live in, true success isn’t given out like free candy, we all know this. True success also isn’t automatically achieved by those who have lots of money, or even to those who are willing to work hard. In our modern world connections are everything, by joining RRH, I believe I will form those positive relations and connections that I deeply yearn for. Why should we accept you: First I will start with dedication. My dedication is something my peers in Security Senior Command can back me up on. I am extremely dedicated to my current branches as the length of my application shows. When any fight breaks out, I will always be the last one to leave the fight. With my dedication, my extensive experience in high-risk situations and my ability to stay calm and think through them is second to none. While being in security, I have consistently found myself around important people who are highly important targets for groups like CI to kidnap and capture. And now that I am a part of SCMD in Security, I have found myself to be among these high-price targets. Because I am regularly around these individuals and am now one of them, I have learned the essential combat skills and knowledge that will swiftly give the foundation the upper hand. I also learned crucial combat planning and strategy skills. As a live example of my abilities, just a week or two ago, I was traveling to the LCZ Armory for a re-supply of medical supplies for security personnel during a heavy D-Block riots. When I entered, I found the HOS Sixx, in the room, AFK. As I was getting ready to leave, I knew something was not right so I decided to stay. And Guard him until he returns. Sure enough, just a couple seconds later, CI invades the Lower Containment Zone and enters the armory. While trying my best to move Sixx to a more safe location, 5-6 CI begins to engage. With Sixx’s help, we repel the CI and we both heal up and move back to D-Block to help the rest of security. This scenario is just one of my hundreds of high-stress, high-risk scenarios that I excel in. With my dedication, experience in high-risk combat situations, and my knowledge of combat strategy, I would like to highlight my best most strong asset last, my reputation on the server. From the day I joined security back in the good old days of Site 05, I started to become fairly well respected with NCOs and other Enlisted personnel in security. During this time I worked hard and did my best to learn and listen from my superiors. Shortly after this I would actually stop playing until October of 2020. When I came back I immediately went to work and because of my activity, I shot up the ranks of security, eventually achieving Sergeant Major in security by the start of Christmas time 2020. I would stay as SM for a while and during this time I would build most of my reputation working with command and the other SMs of the time. Around January I would apply for Command and on my second application, I would get accepted. During my time in command my reputation was first a bit harsh, but through feedback from NCOs I would change greatly to be the Command member I am today. Through my dedication, extensive knowledge and ability in High-Risk situations, and my reputation and experience from Security, I believe I am ready to take on the responsibilities and the privilege of the Red Right Hand Guardians Squadron. Thank you for your time reading my application. This wraps up the main written portion of my application for RRH Guardian Squadron.

  6. 1. Steam Name?: [GL] Raptor 2. Steam ID?: STEAM_0:0:526970293 3. Roster Name?: Raptor 4. Current Rank?: Captain 5. When were you promoted?: March 27th, 2021 6. How long have you been a member of GENSEC (roughly)?: About 1 and a half years 7. Do you promise to uphold all rules instated by GamingLight and by the many Security guidelines?: Yes 8. Do you promise to uphold your duties as a command member in leadership, mentoring, problem-solving, etc.?: Yes 9. Do you promise that you will listen and respect your lower / higher rankings?: Of Course 10. Why do you want to become a senior command member? (150 WORDS+): Senior Command in Security is one of the most cherished positions in Security. After some thinking, I believe I am ready to move up to the next level in Security and take on the new responsibilities of Senior Command. While there are many many different reasons why I believe I would succeed in Senior Command, I will be highlighting the ones that set me apart from the other Low Command applying, and the current Senior Command of Security. First, Senior Command has always had a negative stereotype of not being active on the server and sitting doing only behind the scenes work. I've even heard from a couple NCOs that don’t even know certain people in Senior Command even existed. This is definitely something that should NOT be happening. I would like to change that stereotype and inspire others in Senior Command to follow me. I'm about to get plenty of extra free time that I would be more than willing to dedicate to Security to become even more active than I am now. Fixing this issue would create a better bond and instill trust from other members of the branch. As well as my activity, my abilities to adapt and succeed in high stress situations are another great asset of mine. While being in the command of Security for about 3 months, I have made a couple mistakes and I’m not afraid to talk about them as they are the reason why I am the command member that I am now. My ability to learn and adapt is second to none, and every time I make a mistake, I am sure to learn from these mistakes and correct them with the utmost haste and maturity. Another trait of mine that I am very proud of is my extensive experience in leadership positions. Alongside my 3 months in Security, for several years I have been in multiple high leadership positions ranging from leading Platoons of Marines in Battlefield Milsim, from leading entire Military Simulation Groups on Xbox and PC with over 200 members in each. Another trait that I greatly embody is simple maturity. I believe the maturity of members of command is something that is very commonly overlooked. When D-Block is in shambles, MTF are tied up dealing with CI, and nothing is getting done, having a mature leader who is strong and bold will be one of the only things that Security will have to rely on. Simple Maturity is something that I show best and many command members from other branches can back me up on. The last thing I would like to talk about is my initiative in Security. Whenever a PT needs a Host, Co-Host, or even the Host needs some help with promotion training, if my personal schedule allows it, I will always be ready to help, whenever I am needed. Unlike many other Low-Command, I really enjoy hosting PTs and Off-Meetings and I do my best to host them whenever I can. For these main reasons, along with overwhelming support from the command of other branches, I believe that I am best fit to move up to the next level of the totem pole. Security on GamingLight is a second life for me, I care about the branch a lot and I am always ready to pitch in whenever needed. As Jesse Owens once said, “We all have dreams. But to make dreams come into reality, it takes an awful lot of determination, dedication, self-discipline, and effort.” Determination, dedication, self-discipline, and effort are all things I embody daily in Security. I believe that without these 4 things, no leader will ever be successful. This wraps up the main written portion of my application for Senior Command. 11. What would you do if a Security Officer was constantly leaving D Block?: First thing I would do is check the watchlist. Next I would contact the NCO(s) who gave them permission to leave each time. If all instances where reasonable, the encounter ends there. If they were not reasonable, I would speak to the NCO responsible and give them the link to the NCO guide so that they can properly review where they went wrong to fix it for themselves. If the officer was leaving without getting permission, I would speak to the officer and remind them how leaving D-Block works. During this conversation with the officer I also would take the time to ask them how long ago they were trained, and who trained them. If they were recently trained, I would probably also contact the trainer who trained the officer and make sure that they are telling their trainees how leaving D-Block works. However if they were not recently trained I would give them a little review on how it all works, and then set them on their way with a verbal warning. After the encounter finishes I would possibly put them on the watchlist depending on how recently they were trained. 12. What would you do if an NCO kept on leaving d-block with terrible reasons?: First, I would check the watchlist, DNP, and Roster to see if they have previously been warned or punished. If not I would simply speak privately about it too them and give them a link to the NCO Guide. If they were previously warned or punished, If possible, I would talk with the CMD Member who previously Warned or Striked them and gather context on the previous situation. Next I would compare both instances and make a decision on how to punish them. Then, I would pull the NCO from the incident aside and speak to them about what are the proper reasons to leave D-Block, and then give them the link to the NCO Guide. Once they understand what they have done wrong and understand the correct reasons to leave D-Block and how they will be punished., I would send them on their way just after giving them the date that they can appeal any punishment given. I would then fill out any Discord-related forms for the watchlist and if any are needed, fill out the strike form. 13. What do you do if an E-11 private comes into d block and attempts to take command of all of the security?: First, I gather evidence of the incident. Next I would have them leave D-Block. If its the correct Condition, I would have them return to their base on the surface. If they have done this before or if they were being disrespecting or harassing any Security Members I would contact E-11 Low Command and give a general summary of what I saw and any reports from other members of security. Along with these things, I would give them any hard evidence of the incident and let E-11s Low Command Do their job. 14. Explain the process of promoting a corporal to sergeant in your own words: First I would check the DNP channel in Discord for their Steam ID. If they do not have anything in the DNP channel about them I would congratulate them on their promotion. Next I would give them the NCO Guide, and have them read along as I read them the NCO Guide. Once this is complete, I would give them a mini assessment of the NCO Guide to make sure they understand their new duties and responsibilities as an NCO. Once all the NCO Guide related stuff is complete, I would ask them if they had a forums account and If they didn't have a forums account already, assist them in making their forums account. After helping with them with their forums account I would ask them if they had any questions or concerns regarding anything from the training. Then I would inform them that they must request tags in the security requesting tags channel in the discord. After this I would White-List the new NCO and set them on their way back to D-Block. After dismissing them I would fill out the security promotions channel in the discord so NCO's position on the roster can be updated. 8. Name: Raptor Rank: 1LT SteamID: STEAM_0:0:526970293 Current Sub-Branches your in: FTO, Sniper, Riot Control Why should you retain your rank (Command ONLY | 150+ words): I believe I should retain and keep my rank as 1LT. First, I am a great leader and take pride in my special privilege to take charge and manage security. As someone in command, I am known to be a good leader, as highlighted in the most recent NCO Meeting. While many people may see me as someone who is too serious, I can be assured by the people I work closely with that I am a very polite and respectful person. All leaders fall in a spectrum of traits and abilities. Some are not very serious, but are very good at providing emotional relief to others. Other leaders like me, are more serious and get more of the “behind the scenes” work done. Both types of leaders are very important and a balance of both must be retained to maintain a good chain of command. Along with being a great leader, my activity is something I am very proud of. Each week I am on for 20+ hours and am ready to help anyone at any hour. My last reason for keeping me in command is my extensive experience leading groups of people. For several years now I have been assigned to many leadership positions in a wide variety of games and servers. Starting from leading small squads and fireteams of men in Arma 3 to leading 300 member communities on different games like minecraft, battlefield, sea of thieves and other games. No matter what task is given, I am sure to complete it. Any Notes, Questions, or Concerns?: None
