Deathtrooper Battalion Update
Apologies in advance for the large post. DT is long overdue for an update so we have more than a few things we need to change. Considering the decline in DT in recent times, DT Command and Naval High Command believe this update will do nothing but benefit the battalion and the server, as well as increase activity.

Job/Class Name: Death Trooper Current Loadout: E-11D, SE-14C, Binoculars (Dark) Current Model: models/player/markus/custom/characters/hero/deathtrooper/male/deathtrooper_male_01/deathtrooper_01_male_mesh.mdl New Model: models/bunny/white_deathtroopers/white_deathtrooper_commander.mdl Increasing Health from 500 to 550 Job Scale: 1.05 Reason for Job Scale: Within lore DT are the prime physical specimens of the imperial military, and they were around 7 feet tall. We believe this would be a good incentive to join DT, as well as make DT more menacing and lore accurate. We did thorough testing with GMs and we found that 1.05 is the perfect height as it does not interfere with movement through elevators, and is not unreasonably tall. Reason for Model Change: This model better suites DT. It looks better, has some more body groups, and will be more customizable. It also has an optional White Skin bodygroup which will be used for deployments on Hoth so DT are camouflaged. This new model is only ~30 Megabytes. On ship we are often bodyblocking shots when our VIPs are under attack. Regardless of the setting, we are often in the line of fire. A slight buff to our health would be very beneficial.

We will be changing Heavy into a Donator job to make up for the removal of the current DT Donator job later in this post.

We would like to add the deployable shield seeing as other "Heavy" jobs on the server have it, and it would be useful for setting up defensive formations with our VIPs. Job Additions/Removals Removing the Death Trooper Unit TI-23 (T2) Job Reason for removal: We will be replacing this one job with a series of jobs, making TI-23 a full sub-branch. We will be making a Death Trooper Sarlacc Company a T2 Donator job to ensure that DT still has a donator job.
We are revamping TI-23 into an Elite Squad-Based Sub branch featuring known Deathtroopers from Lore. Troopers will apply for this squad similar to 501st ARC. This branch will increase activity as well as incentivize DT to perform better in order to achieve a spot in this unit.

Reason for HP/Armor: Considering this is the highest rank in the Elite Unit, we believe that it should have a higher HP compared to the other jobs in DT. Reason for Loadout: This job is meant to be a combination of all the TI-23 jobs, therefore it has an aspect of each member of the unit in its loadout. We believe this is a fair loadout for the head of the sub-battalion. Reason for Loadout: This job is meant to be a field medic for Deathtroopers and the VIPs that we protect. Being a VIP protection battalion it is imperative that DT are able to ensure our VIPs survival at all times. We do not always have the ability to wait for Medical to get to our VIP in order to heal them. This would make it more efficient and make us able to do our jobs better. We realize having medical items could be seen as overpowered, but other battalions jobs have these items (Fixer from IC, ID10 from IF, etc.) and to counteract that this class will only have one primary weapon, and one secondary weapon.

Do you believe these changes are fair to the battalion/job role it is responsible for and will benefit the server, if so, why?: Yes, we believe this is a fair and necessary change to DT. We believe that these changes are fair, and will not throw off server balance. This update will benefit the server by getting those in DT more active, and bring a much needed change to the battalion. It will also help incentivize new players to join DT and Naval as a whole.
