Lore Name: gameboi Rank: Junior Researcher SCP: 173 Object Class: Euclid Question / Idea: When testing gets done on SCP-173 it is common to have multiple eyes on the object, however for this test the idea was to have 2 D class susbjects completly alone with the SCP-173. This meant that the shutters were closed and no cameras were used to observe the SCP either. The limit for the test was 2 minutes. Background Research: SCP-173 cannot move while people observe it, but when it is not being observed it has been seen to move at incredible high speeds. when the object meets a subject it proceeds to snap their neck. Hypothesis: With less virtual and organic eyes looking at the subject it can be assumed it will take less than one minute for the SCP to kill the subjects. Observations (What Happened During Test): For this test we brought 2 D class subjects into the scp chamber. Once the D class personell were inside the gates were closed and the testing window shutters were also closed so only the 2 subjects were able to see the experiment. After two minutes only one of the subjects died, the sound of the death was around the two minute mark aswell. Evidence: No evidence was taken since the experiment was performed with closed doors and no windows. Analysis / Conclusion (What Could Of Caused The Results): It could be that having two D class subjects is still too many eyes looking at the scp for it to reach its maximum potential. Was Your Hypothesis Correct?: No, SCP-173 was still affected and significantly slower with only two personell looking at it in complete isolation.

Lore Name: WIzard Rank: AR SCP: 173 Supervisor: SCM Recon Other researchers : ( All who where in mass test at 11:00 GTM+1) Question / Idea: TO see if SCP-173 Would go straight for the D-Class or have to "look Around" to find the D-Class. Background Research: SCP-173 is hostile to everything without discrimination, therefore I wanted to-do a experiment to work out if SCP-173 "Hunts" what it see's or just Kill's on sight. Hypothesis: That SCP-173 just kill's what ever its "senses". Observations (What Happened During Test): After the maze was constructed, the RIG unit brought the D-Class to the end of the maze and put a camera inside to watch back. SCP-173 went around every nook and cranny of the maze before snapping the D-Class neck. Analysis / Conclusion (What Could Of Caused The Results): Because SCP-173 had to go around "looking" for the D-Class I do not think that SCP-173 smell's or sense it's target and just kill's what it see's. Was Your Hypothesis Correct?: No, I thought SCP-173 senses what it attack however, it would seem that SCP-173 new that something was in it's containment cell I forgot to take photos of the maze once it was constructed Sorry.

WARNING! This file is restricted to clearance level 2 personnel and above If you are lower than this level, please report to security immediately Researcher Name: Vladimir Rank: Associate Researcher SCP: 173 and 1048 Question: Since SCP-1048 does not have any bones, but still has a neck, would it survive SCP-173? Background Research: SCP-173 is a sculpture made out of concrete and rebar with traces of spray paint. SCP-1048 is a small, sentient teddy bear that is roams around the facility. Hypothesis: SCP-1048 will not die from SCP-173 because they have no bones and therefore SCP-1048 would survive. Observations: SCP-1048 was ordered to enter SCP-173's containment chamber at site [REDACTED]. The gate was shut behind SCP-1048 and it was ordered to look away from SCP-173. The bear complied, and after two seconds of waiting , the windows to SCP-173's chamber were opened to reveal SCP-1048 on the ground with its head inverted and its body laying motionless. Three D-Class were then brought in to look at SCP-173 while I retrieved the corpse of SCP-1048. After multiple hours of being monitored, SCP-1048 was declared neutralized and incinerated. Evidence: The test was observed by MTF Sulfur, and partially by Dr. Bright Conclusion: It appears that SCP-173 is able to kill, or at least will attempt to kill anything, even if the thing has no bones. Further research will be required to determine why this is. Was my hypothesis correct?: No, SCP-1048 has been neutralized

Lore Name: Jummy Bagels Rank: Associate Researcher SCP: 131 and 173 Question / Idea: How long could SCP-131-A look at SCP-173 without blinking? Background Research: SCP-173 has appeared to only be able to moved while nobody is observing it, SCP-131-A has the ability to have it's eyes open for long periods of time. Hypothesis: My hypothesis is that SCP-131-A will be able to stare at 173 virtually forever, however it may get bored with the task. Observations: Hour One: SCP-131-A enters SCP-173's containment chamber, Then, the metal blinds are closed and the camera monitors are turned off. Hour Two: SCP-131-A is instructed to look away from SCP-173, SCP-131-A does not comply. Hour Three: Via pressure sensors, SCP-173 has not been observed to move the entire test. Hour Four: SCP-131-A is taken out of the chamber. Evidence/Visual Stimuli: Analysis / Conclusion (What Could Of Caused The Results): It seems because of the biomechanical nature of SCP-131-A and B, that they have the ability to not blink for long periods of time, they have been considered for more testing with 173. Was Your Hypothesis Correct?: Mostly, SCP-131-A did not become bored by looking at SCP-173 for so long.

SCP 173 Mental Illness Test Continuation
Watashi no chin chin posted a topic in Foundation Test Logs
Rank: AR SCP: 173 Idea: A continuation of the schizophrenic D-Class test, this time with dissociative disorder. Background: SCP-173 is a statue constructed from concrete and rebar. When unobserved SCP-173 will dash to a target snapping their necks. Hypothesis: SCP-173 will react similarly with this D-Class as it did with the schizophrenic D-Class. Null Hypothesis: SCP-173 will react the opposite of how it reacted to the schizophrenic D-Class. Observation: SCP-173 appeared to chase the D-Class around its cell which is odd considering it would usually kill a alone D-Class in its cell, this might have something to do with the D-Class's condition making it difficult for SCP-173 to recognise when it is being observed and when it is not. During this test there was no communication between The D-Class to SCP-173. After two attempts of locking the D-Class in with SCP-173 and it failing to be killed the D-Class was terminated due to the time taken and the reluctance of the D-Class to leave the cell. Conclusion: Why SCP-173 was unable to kill or catch the D-Class is unknown however it might be down to the D-Class not realizing when it was looking at it and when it wasn't causing a state of constant eye contact. Research is ongoing. -
Rank: JR SCP: SCP-173 idea: What happens when a D-Class with schizophrenia comes in to contact with SCP-173 Basic Background: SCP-173 is a statue constructed from concrete and rebar. When unobserved SCP-173 will dash to a target snapping their necks. hypothesis: SCP-173 will react as standard to the mentally ill D-Class. null hypothesis: SCP-173 will react differently to the mentally ill D-Class Observation: SCP-173 did not attack the D-Class whilst it was inside the containment chamber, instead sitting across from the subject whilst "communicating with it". After two attempts of locking The D-Class in with 173 the D-Class was removed and given amnestics. Conclusion: It is currently unknown as to why SCP-173 reacted differently to the mentally ill D-Class but research is ongoing.

Lore Name: Mirlurk Rank: Junior Researcher SCP: SCP-173 Question / Idea: How does SCP-173 react to being smothered by 3 D-Class individuals Background Research: SCP-173 is not able to move as long as eye contact remains on him. SCP-173 is aggressive but cant do anything as long as eye contact remains. Hypothesis: SCP-173 will not move and cause no type of harm towards the individual. Observations (What Happened During Test): All 3 D-Class had their eyes on the SCP. 2 D-Class had to be terminated due to not complying with orders and trying to escape. Evidence/Visual Stimuli: No evidence can be displayed Analysis / Conclusion (What Could Of Caused The Results): 3 D-Class subjects keeping eye contact on SCP-173 Was Your Hypothesis Correct?: Yes

Name: JR Dmitri Sourkraut Rank: Junior Researcher SCP: 173 Idea: This containment test was inspired by a recent test on 173 that involved using a thermal blanket on SCP-173 to see if watching it via thermals was an option. The test was a failure, however SCP-173 was not able to navigate its surroundings to terminate any personnel involved, which proved that SCP-173 did indeed use eyes as its main sensory system to move around its environment. SCP-131-A and SCP-131-B have been able to stop SCP-173 from moving in the past which proves that SCP-173 will not be able to move when any organism looks at it, even when said organism is not a human. This test is to be used to determine whether or not surrounding SCP-173 with mirrors will cause SCP-173 to always look at itself, therefor essentially containing itself. Background Research: Cameras have proven to be not reliable in keeping SCP-173 from moving, whether it is from power outage or malfunctioning, mirrors don't need electricity and can never malfunction, meaning if this works then we will have a reliable, easy to maintain, and permanent way to keep SCP-173 contained, as long as cleaning routines stay normal, and only one person at a time is needed to clean the cells, making resources used in containing SCP-173 much more inexpensive. Hypothesis: If SCP-173 has some form of higher intelligence, it will realize that it can move if it simply stops looking at itself, if it even has the ability to do so, such as stopping itself from seeing. On the other hand if SCP-173 has the same level as intelligence as for example a type of predatory cat or dog, I do not believe that SCP-173 will be able to move, we will test by throwing a blindfolded D-Class personnel into the mix. Observations: Well nobody exactly wanted to take the job of building a wall of mirrors around SCP-173 and for good reason, I wouldn't want to be at the mercy of something that had no mercy if people blinked at the wrong time either, luckily however Doctor Bright was on site and well, we all know how he is. After Doctor Bright built the mirrors around SCP-173, one GENSEC CPL placed a blindfolded D-Class next to SCP-173 and we proceeded to close the Containment Cell door after said CPL exited the room. waiting 10 seconds after closing the door and breaking all visual contact with SCP-173, we re opened to doors to see that SCP-173 and a confused D-Class personnel were still right where we left them, with the D-Class being slightly paranoid as to why exactly he was in a bit of blood and feces (courtesy of one of SCP-173's anomalous traits. SCP-173 on the other hand had not moved in any way, shape, or form and the test was ended as a success. Conclusion: Welp lads, there you have it! SCP-173 can contain itself by simply looking at something as simple as a mirror, and I request that a suggestion be put in for a revision of SCP-173's containment procedures to the Containment Engineers to make a build plan for a new containment cell completely covered in mirrors. Besides that, I say that following this success SCP-173 may have the possibility of being reclassified as a "Safe" class entity due to the fact we can simply put it in a box with some mirrors to contain it now. Was your hypothesis correct?: Yes it was indeed, and it proves that SCP-173 does not at all have any form of higher intelligence, since surrounding it in mirrors has proven effective at keeping it from moving.

Name: Dr. Brandon Rank: Junior Researcher Clearance Level: 2 List of Personnel involved in testing: | 1 Executive Researcher | 2 Junior Researchers | 1 Security Officer | Level D personnel involved: 3 SCP: 173 Errors and/or safety hazards: Failed thorough inspection & strip of all D-Class before testing. 2 D-Class were seen holding blunt weapons (One holding an aluminum baseball bat and the other a plumber's wrench), attacking SCP-173. Luckily, SCP-173 sustained minimal damage, with bits of concrete & chipped paint on the floor. Question: Would the viewing of SCP-173 using a third-party visual aid inhibit its ability to move? Background Research: Unbroken direct eyesight of SCP-173 results in its inability to move. However, once direct eyesight is broken, SCP-173's movements become rampant. It is recommended that at least 3 people should keep direct eye contact with SCP-173 in the event of contact. Hypothesis: If the D-Class looked through a camcorder and uses it to maintain eye contact with SCP-173, then SCP-173 should not move. Observation/Visual Stimuli(Photos/videos): All 3 D-Class were instructed to hold a camcorder to their eye and to close the other. They were to view SCP-173 at all times for 5 minutes. After inserting the D-Class into 173's containment chamber, they began to encircle it wielding blunt weapons. They start to beat 173 for 5-10 seconds before stopping. "Locker-room talk" ensued for around a minute before they began to talk inappropriately to SCP-173. [Video & Audio Log of Experiment via Security Footage] (20:06:39) D-2397: Keep looking at it -- You're gonna get us killed. (20:06:43) D-1273: OHH [DATA EXPUNGED]! RUNNN! SCP-173 begins chasing D-2397 & D-1273 around the containment chamber, with D-3478 avoiding confrontation and maintaining eye contact. D-2397 & D-1273 continue to cry for help before getting their neck snapped by 173.* (20:07:01) D-3478: LET ME OUT! The containment doors are opened and D-3478 is removed from the test. [END Log] The remaining D-Class was given a Class-B amnestic and returned to D-Block via Security escort. Analysis and Conclusion: The camcorder acted as an extension of the human eye, with direct eye contact preventing SCP-173 's ability to rapidly move. The breaking of eye-contact with SCP-173, however, still resulted in it moving. We now understand that the use of visual aids can be used to disable SCP-173 ability to move, as long as the eye was focused on 173. Do your results align with your hypothesis?: Yes.

Lore Name: Chara Rank: JR Clearance Level: 2 List of personnel involved in testing: Myself Level D personnel involved: 5 SCP: 173 Hypothesis: Scp-173 has a act for being what is called/nicknamed the statue, and it is said to have no feelings, so I think that this test would prove that Scp-173 does have emotion. Observation: Test 1: I started off with one D-Class, I told the D-Class to try and give any type of affection to 173, to my surprise the D-Class hugged and kissed Scp-173, as you would expect from 173 it snapped his neck for kissing and hugging it. Test 2: The second time I tried this experiment I brought two D-Class, the 2 both fairly new to Scp-173, I told them the same thing I told the 1st D-Class this time it ended way differently than I expected, I heard they were hugging him but he only snapped one of there necks but the other one gave him affection and Scp-173 did not snap his neck he was shortly pulled out after and given amnestics. Test 3: This was the last and final test so I picked 2 D-class that had experience handling Scp-173 I told them to give Scp-173 a hug, only one did exactly what I said and the 2nd D-Class didn't, Scp- 173 approached the D-class that did not hug him and better yet 173 hugged the D-Class, and so my Hypothesis was correct 173 can feel for people. Visual Stimuli (Photos/videos): None Errors and/or safety hazards: D-Class had weapons. Conclusion: So in Conclusion Scp-173 has felling for some people it seems that it likes the people its seen before and sometimes likes the people that haven't seen it. Approved by the Director of R&D and the Head of Research. For use in Site-05. Secure, Contain, And Protect.

Form Title: [SCP-173] ~ Research (14/04) Lore Name: Yao Rank: Junior Researcher Clearance Level: 1 List of personnel involved in testing: Janitor (name unavailable) Level D personnel involved: Speedy Security [...] (don't remember whole name) SCP: 173 Hypothesis: when presented with limited choice, SCP-173 will prioritize the elimination of aggressive targets. Observation: I introduced two D-class into SCP-173's containment chamber. Each D-class was given a different task: Subject A professed his love for 173, Subject B professed his hate. Then, both test subjects where blindfolded and tied at opposite ends of the chamber at the same distance of SCP-173. The door was closed by Janitorial Staff for ten seconds. After opening again, Subject A (the one professing his love) was dead in the floor, his neck broken by SCP-173. The surviving D-class was extracted from the chamber, given an amnesiac and set free on D-block. Visual Stimuli (Photos/videos): n/a Errors and/or safety hazards: Intent was to continue testing SCP-173's priorities but test had to be interrupted due to activation of DEFCON 3. Conclusion: When presented between two mutually exclusive targets, SCP-173 will kill the one showing affection instead of the aggressive one. One reason could be that hate and fear is a more familiar reaction to SCP-173 than love, thus love might appear as more unusual/threatening. Further testing is needed to confirm this conclusion. This is a repost, somehow both my test posts where deleted in the morning.

//-----------------------------------------------------------------// Form Title: [SCP-173, SCP-1048] ~ Research (4/7/2019) Lore Name: Junior Researcher Wuzzy Rank: JR Clearance Level: 2 List of personnel involved in testing: JR f1ighter, JR Wuzzy, Level D personnel involved: SO Bright SCP: 173, 1048. Hypothesis: We had put SCP-1048 in SCP-173 containment zone along with two other class-D personal to see how SCP-173 would respond with another SCP involved. As me and JR f1ighter was watching on security cams, things were perfectly fine. Both class-D had made friends with SCP-1048 and it seem to make SCP-173 very calm. He had made no actions towards the D-Class and made no movement at all. Both class D were not looking at him at the time either. It seems to me that SCP-173 acts totally different when another SCP is involved. But why is the real question. We will go into further research to come up with more Conclusions. Observation: N/A Visual Stimuli (Photos/videos): N/A Errors and/or safety hazards: None. Conclusion: SCP-173 acts very differently when another SCP is involved. Doesn't act hostile towards D-Class personal.

Other one was done by myself. Level D personnel involved: D-class RedFox And D-class DatBoi And D-Class Romero SCP:173 Hypothesis: I believe SCP-173 is a deadly SCP that breaks peoples bones. Observation: 173 looks like he is made of hard stone and has a ruff texture. Visual Stimuli (Photos/videos): None Errors and/or safety hazards: In the final test my Partner MR Gun and Security Made a horrible error by letting a D-class from DBlock killed him. The D class was not a test subject. Leading to the breach of 173. He was later re-contained he did not make it to DBlock. Conclusion: In all my test I found that 173 does not snap any old bone it snaps the D-classes Neck which leads to death.
