Minor change to the 5 min timer rule for SCPs - Denied
Cecil Stedmen replied to Cecil Stedmen's topic in Denied
They can breach during a test unless it's a mass test as those are OOC and all of research should be taking proper security procedures during their test; thats not ruining RP, it's adding to it. Every SCP has a means to keep it inside during a test and if it doesn't then creative RP can fix that. The purpose of this is to ensure researchers take proper security procedures as they should. We recently added a joint subbranch between gensec and research called RIG whose sole purpose is to escort researchers. Utilizing them properly makes testing extremely easy even with this new rule in place. -
Minor change to the 5 min timer rule for SCPs - Denied
Cecil Stedmen replied to Cecil Stedmen's topic in Denied
Then we punish them for not taking proper security procedures and causing a breach, and if it was deliberate then just slap them a removal + DNT or a blacklist as they gonna do it anyways. Although I will say in order to fully close the loop and limit abuse of the loophole closing; I'll edit the suggestion to add; in order for it to count as a test, it must be done by either a member of Research or CI RND that is cleared to test on the SCP. So if a JR breaches 610 during a "test" then it's voided as they weren't cleared to test on the SCP. -
Overall Grade: 8/10 Lore: 8/10 Good usage of lore and nothing in this test broke the lore of SCP 049. Good work! Creativity: 10/10 The idea itself was pretty great and the effort you put in to the audio log made me give this a 10/10. Great work! Presentation: 8/10 While the written portion of the document was eh, you made up for it with the effort you put into the audio log. Keep up the good work! Writing: 6/10 Writing portion of the test log was pretty short, no grammar errors or anything but the written portion could have been a bit longer. Notes: Great work! Also the medal clip you attached was pretty funny, you'll do great things in research I know it.

General Suggestion - Event Team changes [Completed]
Cecil Stedmen replied to islandtoad's topic in Completed
Major +support This would definitely encourage more ET to take ET sits and also reward those who take them -
What are you suggesting? - Create an exception for the 5 minute timer before you can breach if let out IF the SCP was requested for a test and/or breached as a result of a test gone wrong. Edit: Gonna add this as well. In order for it to be a valid test; it must be done by a member of CI RND, RRH Analyst, Research, or Site Admin+ that is cleared to test on the SCP. So a breach caused by a 610 test being done by a JR wouldn't be considered a valid breach in the first 5 mins due to not being allowed to test on the SCP. How would this change better the server? - It closes a potential loophole where researchers can request an SCP to flag up and not need to take necessary security procedures under the 5 min rule. Never seen this loophole abused but it's best to close the loophole before that happens. Ensuring an SCP doesn't breach is something Research Command emphasizes to enlisted researchers; pretty much every SCP has a means of ensuring it doesn't breach and a bit of creative roleplay can also be done to ensure an SCP does not breach if nothing in the MOTD is listed to help limit a breach from occurring. Are there any disadvantages of making this change to the server? If so, explain. - Genuinely don't see any; it's simply closing a loophole that needed to be closed. Who would this change mostly benefit? - SCPs Please link any workshop content, screenshots, or anything that you think may be helpful to those who view this suggestion - N/A

Overall Grade: 6.5/10 Lore: 7/10 It's clear you did a lot of research into this SCP, the lore behind this test is pretty reasonable and shows you took a lot of effort into writing this document. However, Gamma-13 specializes specifically in Anderson Robotics and doesn't really interact with other GOIs such as Gamers Against Weed from what I can tell. Delta-5 would have probably been a better fit to match more accurately with lore in my opinion. Creativity: 7/10 You did well and clearly thought up of creative yet reasonable ideas in this log. The test idea was overall great! Keep up the work! Presentation: 6/10 It's clear you put a lot of effort into this which I do respect. However, the colors in the last section made it very hard to read. Rule of thumb is either dark background against light text or dark text against a light background. Also using an image for the access granted portion wasn't a good choice compared to just sticking to text. Writing: 6/10 For the most part, the writing made sense; however I did spot a couple of minor grammar/spelling errors such as misspelling thorough as "thurow" and needless capitalization of certain words. Always double check your spelling! Notes: You did good work! If this wasn't RFA grading it prolly would have been an 8 or a 9. RFA has taken notice of the effort you put in, keep it up! -Agent Diesel OA2

Change Sarkic to another GOI (here come the hate comments) - Denied
Cecil Stedmen replied to Cintal's topic in Denied
-Support Personally I think the way Sarkics are now isn't good at all. However; I think the concept of having sarkics on the server is excellent and I think they should stay, they just need to be reworked to both match lore and be more interesting apart from just a job to mess around on which would encourage better RP. -
Deferred to Medical Research Command. Medical Research test logs should be posted under the medical section.

Pretty short; it's not a bad test but very short tests/documents should just be made into activity logs.

In Game Name: Cecil Steam ID (STEAM_0:0:000000001): STEAM_0:1:65369818 Discord Name (Bread#0001): Joe Nuts#4830 If you have any SCP-RP warns, please list when and why you got them here (If you don't have any, exclude this from your application.): 2 Link to Warns: https://gaminglight.com/bans/player/76561198091005365 First warning was for LTAP on 10/13/2019 and it was so long ago I can barely remember what I did. Second warning was for RDM x4/FailRP as Dr Bright on 10/13/2019; betting money I incinerated D Class but again it was so long ago I can barely remember. When did you start playing on SCP-RP? (Approximately): I played a little bit in late 2019 but never seriously played Gaminglight SCPRP until November 27th ish of 2021. Why do you want to join Nu-7? (75 word minimum): Well first off; I’ve been playing E-11 for a while and realized that I like doing MTF and when I hung out in NU-7 Teamspeak; it’s always seems like a welcoming non-toxic environment while also having a lot of different sub branches to offer including the new sub branch that got announced at the meeting. So it not only has a very welcoming environment, but also has a lot of roleplay options while also not having the code restrictions/distance to facility that E-11 has. Lastly; I know a couple of people with NU-7 so I’d be working/role playing alongside people I am friends with. I hope this explains my intentions as to why I want to join Nu-7 and I hope y’all consider me to join y’all. If you've been in any other branches, list them and what your ranks are/were. This counts for all servers. (If you haven't been in any branches, exclude this from your application.): Gaminglight MilRP —---------------- Navy 1st Lieutenant (Removed for Inactivity in 2017) Gaminglight PoliceRP —--------------- FBI Assistant Director (Left in December 2021) EMS Captain (Left in December 2021) EMS RRU Rapid Response Team Leader (Left in December 2021) Gaminglight SCPRP —---------------- CI Military Master Sergeant (Left in January 2022) CI RND Chief Inspector (Left in February 2022) Research Manager (Current) Maintenance Adept (Current) Senior Medic (Left in December 2021) Do you understand to get on at least every other day and keep yourself up to date with Nu-7? We don't treat it like a job here - but we do expect you to be notified and enjoy your time: I understand and am happy to fulfill that requirement.

Roster Name: Cecil Stedmen Rank: Chief Inspector Steam ID: STEAM_0:1:65369818 Basically I’ve just not really been having that much fun in R&D; I’ve liked helping out but never really actually hopped on R&D much anymore apart from to handle command stuff. It started feeling like a chore and never actually hopped on as much. R&D has been an excellent experience for me and I thank everyone in R&D for the wonderful time but as everyone knows; all good things must come to an end. I have discussed with Gamma prior to posting and will be entering reserves. I appreciate Gamma for the opportunities they have given me and also thank them to awarding me with the Exemplary Investigator Medal. I've had a lovely time within R&D and will cherish the memories I gained throughout my time. Special Mentions: Vindertech: In the short time I’ve been here; I’ve seen that your dedication to R&D is unmatched; R&D will do excellent things under you and I wish you the best! I thank you for listening to what Delta Command has to say and cutting us in on long term planning for the branch! Box: My first experience with you was when you graded my first ever R&D log. You’ve always been someone that has been able to balance the fine line between joking around and getting professional as necessary which made you an awesome person to be around and also a great person to go to for any command situations. You most certainly deserved gamma command and most definitely will continue to improve R&D. Cloaker: I’ll be honest, when you first got Gamma; I was a little skeptical and wondering what they saw in you. However; you have most certainly proven to me and the rest of R&D that you were worthy of DDOP. You’ve been a big help with the branch update and to helping fix R&D overall. Yohan: I thank you for inducting me into funny EOI; one of my most memorable experiences on the server and is something I’ll treasure. Good luck with the army stuff! Atlas: Finally got executive archivist after 6 months. Congratulations man you deserved it! Pure: I know you left but you've been an awesome dude and a big help throughout my time in R&D. I hope we get to work together again soon! Gordon Feetman: You came back with a fucking bang lmao. Been a big help with FTO stuff and EOI. Hope you stay in R&D and do great things for the branch. Dumptruck: I remember when you trained me for R&D back in November and now we are only one rank apart; you’ve always been someone I can count on and one of the most passionate people within R&D. Having trouble thinking right now but I thank all of R&D Delta Command and our Enlisted for making R&D such a wonderful place to be. I sincerely hope for the best for the R&D from the bottom of my heart. I’ll still hang around on my CI CC’s and level 100 jobs whenever and I will still be a part of the gaminglight community!

-support No effort into appeal and no evidence showing you have improved your character. I am going to be good faith and assume last year meant 2021 and not 1 year ago. However; there are a LOT of other branches to join, if you really want to say you improved and rejoin Security, prove it. Join another branch and improve your rep on that branch; then make a high effort appeal in 2-3 months saying you actually changed with proof you have done so.
