During time playing on this server, I've grown to truly care about the well being of this community. I've seen so many friends join the staff team and decided I wanted to give it a shot. Its time for a change in pace; a new scenery. I'm currently the Head of Security, and have been a member of High Command since August of 2020. As a member of High Command, I feel qualified to apply for this position, especially considering the dedication I've shown in the past 2.5 years. I've caused no issues for staff or SA, and have only upheld the responsibilities given to me. During this time, I have learned how to work as part of a team, resolve issues/problem solving, and enforce the rules stated within the SOP and MOTD, all things which staff are required to do. Being on PST allows me to play later into the night when very few staff are online. This is when staff are most needed; when the minges take control. I will be able to help players during these chaotic hours. I know I can uphold the responsibilities set forth and truly help the server, this time from behind the scenes.
Question: How would you handle someone that is Mass RDMing and when you bring him/her to an admin sit all they do is curse at you?
Answer: I would request for a more experienced staff member to either take over or assist me with the player. After all, asking for help isn't a bad thing and I would be able to learn from this experience to resolve future issues like this. If there is not another staff member online I would handle the situation to the best of my ability. I would jail the player, giving them time to chill out. Once they are calm or even if they are not, I will give them a formal warning.
Question: In your opinion, what is the best way to handle a situation involving a player that clearly does not care about the punishments they are receiving?
Answer: Even if they do not care about the punishment, they will still receive the same as any other player. It is not fair to give them a harsher punishment compared to somebody who committed the same offense. However, it would be wise to bring this to the attention of a higher ranking staff member to receive input. Perhaps they share a different viewpoint.
