  1. There was a report a couple of weeks ago regarding a staff member RDMing on duty right before restart because they thought it was a tradition for everyone to kill each other. To make this perfectly clear, the staff job is to be used in an official capacity as staff only. It is only to be used to enforce the rules. It does not matter how many people are on or how bored you or others are. That's my opinion on the matter.
  2. Just pointing out for the record that admins cannot give themselves weapons, or anything actually. She would of had to of been given it. With that being said, I do have to +support this due to the clear violations.

    Ban Appeal

-support Admitting to tranq abuse and LTAP is LTAP.
  4. -support No steam ID, no pics of warns, not 150 words, and you skipped the scenario questions. Also, your last app was denied. You can reapply in a week. Please do not make any more apps until next Wednesday.
  5. Format: In-Game Name: Pillercat Steam Name: [GL]Sirius SteamID: STEAM_0:1:5119978 What is your staff rank in Gaminglight? Admin How often are you on TeamSpeak? Almost every day and for usually around 6 or so hours depending on the day. How often do you use discord? Every day. I have it on my phone as well, so technically I can be on it as much as I need to be. Why would you want to join our Support team (Word Count 150+)? Well, I’ve previously been support for a different community where I did a lot of work for the TeamSpeak department, with the sole exception of setting up and managing bots, and I found it to be incredibly enjoyable. I believe this is because I naturally enjoy helping people, which would definitely explain my years of consistently staffing, mainly on GMOD. In regards to why I specifically want to be support for GL, well that's easy; GL has by far the most robust staff/support system that I’ve seen in a long time and I believe that I could learn a lot from it. It’s very rare that you see a system as well put together like this and that immediately draws my attention, additionally, I believe that my personality, skills, and experience would complement the team very well. I am also good at explaining things to people, so for those situations that required a little more patience, I’d be able to efficiently and pleasantly assist them without making them feel frustrated, or feeling like they’re being a burden. In conclusion, I want to join support to help myself learn, to help others, and to be an asset to the team and to the community. How do you think you could affect support staff in a positive way? Well, I think that I have an overall friendly personality and am helpful and able to assist those that need it I also have years of experience with TeamSpeak and some decent experience with Discord and I'm active. I'd also keep the conversation as upbeat as possible to help them relax and not feel as nervous. How would you greet someone that has a problem in one of our tickets, or support channels? "Hello! My name is Pillercat and I'll be your friendly neighborhood support team member. What can I do for you?"
  6. -support Did not provide SteamID or proof of warns. On a side note, in regards to the mrdm question, trial mods can't ban.
  7. I agree with this. Noah has proven to be very knowledgeable as an SA. In regards to his attitude, he has drastically improved.
  8. +support Can we also change it to where killed by environment does not look like it's dependent on it being in alien form?
  9. You're sorry was the last reason? Wait it out and take some time to rethink that list. Massive -support
  10. +support for the above reasons. I've also witnessed him FailRp pretty heavily too. It seems to be a theme based off of what other's are saying.
  11. Everyone clear the roads! Have fun and be safe!
  12. -support for the above reasons and kept telling me to go support your app. Honestly, we're trying to eliminate a lot of the mingery and I don't know if you're fit for the branch. I'd give it some time and then try again.
  13. -support There's 7 warns and a ban all this month. A good chunk are for FailRp, so you probably want to go over the rules again as staff are expected to know them. Also, your answer to the MRDM question is lacking, you would want to get an Admin+ to issue a 5 day ban.
  14. Even though I'm no longer in GenSec, I want to put a massive +support on this. I have nothing but good things to say about Cactus. I can personally attest to his positive behavior and traits both in and out of GenSec.
  15. -support This was barely a month ago and it's made very clear that you get staff restricted if you quit without giving notice. It sounds like Rookie already gave you a lot of chances. I'd suggest you spend this time showing that you can remain active.

    ban appeal

Sorry man, but racism is never funny. You can't break the rules and then say it was just a joke and expect to get unbanned. -support
  17. Ah yes, the "bundle of sticks" and "testing rules" excuse. -support
  18. They have to be in the sit for it to be LTAP. With that being said, +support if the format is updated
  19. Name: Pillercat Rank: Captain SteamID(Ex: STEAM_0:1:174348602): STEAM_0:1:5119978 Current Sub-Branches your in: Riot control, sniper, FTO, and K9 Why should you retain your rank (Command ONLY | 150+ words): I feel that I should retain my rank of captain for a multitude of reasons; firstly, while I'm not hyper active due to my work schedule, I am still on virtually every single day with only a few exceptions. Secondly, I am extremely loyal to GenSec, in fact, I'm not even in a second branch, nor have I really felt the pull to go towards one. Thirdly, I believe that I positively affect the branch as a whole. I feel that I'm a mentor to enlisted, NCOs, and fellow low command alike. I'm also quite adept at combat, especially retaking d-block and hunting down escaped d-class when those pesky riots happen. I'm proficient at organizing d-block into a more efficient setup it the personnel on at the time and I actively encourage rotating positions in d-block so no one is in one space too much. When numbers allow for it I always make sure patrols are going. I feel that one of my most valuable traits is that I haven't forgotten what it's like to be an enlisted, so I can relate to them and make sure that security doesn't feel stale. Lastly, I recognize those that do a good job and reward them accordingly, and I prune those that have proven to be a disruptive influence. Obviously this is just a summary of why I feel I should keep my rank, but above all I learn, and am very adaptable, and am constantly seeking to make positive change. Any Notes, Questions, or Concerns?: Did you know that if you do well in FTO that you can be promoted in GenSec?
  20. You're not going to game while at the beach? Unbelievable. But seriously, have fun!
