After reviewing the incident, it is quite clear that multiple extremely concerning things took place in regards to how this specific sit was handled. I want it to be made extremely clear that this conduct displayed by the two staff members is NOT tolerated, and is NOT condoned by any measure. Staff members are supposed to treat the players they encounter with respect, and it is quite clear that in this case they fell quite, quite far from that expectation.
Additionally, it should be noted that the reporting player elected to wait this long before coming forward with this incident. Had this incident been made public when it occurred, I can say for a certainty that Luxxy would not have been advanced to the rank of Senior Admin, nor would she have still be a staff member in the first place. I highly, highly encourage those of you that find evidence of staff misconduct to come forward with it right away so staff members can be held accountable.
In regards to the video itself, the most obvious violation of the staff handbook is clear:
1) Staff members represent the Gaminglight Community at all time, whether you’re on or off duty. As such, staff members should be respectful to other players and staff members at all times.
As such, both Senior Admin Luxxy and Senior Admin Noah Lee have both been removed from the staff team effective immediately. Luxxy has received a community blacklist due to additional comments that she made in response to this report, as well as other conduct.
I want to extend a formal apology to Glitch who was directly affected by this incident. While RDM isn't acceptable, that did not warrant being berated to this extent.
To prevent similar incidents of this from occurring, as well as help identify problematic staff members earlier in their careers, we're implementing a variety of changes to the staff team and how it's managed. These include increasing the frequencies of audits conducted by Senior Admins and JMT personnel, increased documentation of misconduct by staff members to ensure it's better tracked, a change to how the promotion process for Admins and Senior Admins are advanced, among other steps.
It is my hope that as a server we can move past these incidents, and as a staff team we can continue to provide the excellent service we've previously provided.
