  1. Name: Duncan SteamID: STEAM_0:1:6941199 Rank: Captain / CPT Reason for Resignation/Retirement: University! I will be honest, I DO have the time to play. Unfortunately, having a very bad laptop is a big downer, and having no real mic is a HUGE downer. I also have suitemates, and there is just an extraordinary number of activities to get up to - or should I say "into" @ guys in LC Discord. I love the server, I love the community, I love PD. If I ever get time in the future, maybe I'll come back to PD Command. I am staying as SRT Command with an active ROA, so I will not be leaving the server. Many people would @ their favorite people, but I am not leaving the community, so it seems silly. Do you agree to stay active for 48 hours after this post?: In Discord, yes. I will do my best to play within the next couple days, but no promises. Do you agree that once you post this, there is not any “take backs”?: Absolutely.

  3. Rank You are Applying For: Captain In-Game Name: Duncan SteamID: STEAM_0:1:69411992 Current Rank: Lieutenant How long have you been in your current rank?: My Lieutenant Application was accepted on June 26th. This would make me a Lieutenant for exactly 3 Weeks, given that it is now 7/16/20. What timezone are you in?: EST/EDT How many Warns do you have?: I currently have one (1) total warn(s). https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2168599925 Why should you be promoted (150 words Minimum): In my previous response for this section, I spoke about my experience in leadership outside of Garry's Mod, outside of Gaminglight, as well as my leadership experience within Gaminglight itself. While this all adds up to be an extraordinary amount, I have added some very important skills to this table: I have now been a Lieutenant in the RCPD for a sufficient period of time, and I have recently been selected for SRT Low Command. These are two positions that have drastically increased my knowledge of exactly how leadership is handled on Gaminglight specifically, especially given that the only prior Gaminglight Command positions that I have held were within DOC and State Police. There are many qualities that might help someone stand out to be selected for the position of Captain. As a Lieutenant, I have developed a very deep desire to teach. I don't spend the majority of my time patrolling on the streets of Rockford - I don't respond to every robbery, I don't win every shootout, and I don't arrest every criminal. A majority of my time is spent within the PD Building. I enjoy listening to the radio intently, calling individuals back to the PD if they need a one-on-one session on Radio Etiquette. I enjoy silently teaching people the proper wardrobe options, vehicle customization options, and weapons that they are allowed to use at their rank. While training cadets is fun, I more-so enjoy listening in on a supervisor train a cadet and giving them feedback to help them become the best possible trainer they can be. As a Captain, I can take this extreme desire of teaching to the next step. This would allow me to help arrange PD Meetings, this would allow me the ability to coach potential Lieutenants into becoming a phenomenal member of PD Command, and this would give me the privilege of determining who I believe would be the next PD Supervisors. I will not be afraid of holding Sergeants to a much higher standard. Becoming an RCPD Supervisor is a privilege, not an expected promotion, and I will treat it as such. Proving oneself capable of becoming a Sergeant is, to me, synonymous with proving oneself as a qualified instructor, which leads me to my final statement: With me as a Captain of the Rockford City Police Department, I promise to ensure that the next wave of Sergeants consists of the best instructors, teachers, and educators that exist within the Gaminglight RCPD. You agree that disobeying any rules set by High Command will result in an immediate demotion (Yes/No): Yes Please note that as per Deputy Commissioner Alton on 07/06/2020 in the RCPD Discord: "Due to the abuse of the poll system both current a future applications you will not longer require to have a poll. This will remain in effect until further notice."
  4. +Support - I couldn't be more confident in this! + Phenomenal Person. Comedic, Serious, but also extremely approachable about anything. + Perfectly embodies the term "semi-serious". + One of the most active Lieutenants, and knows the RCPD SOP quite well. + Takes his role seriously, and knows when/how to dish out punishment vs rewards.

  6. Are all Government Custom Classes still considered to be in the regular PD, as well as considered to be their actual PD Rank? If so, is there anywhere this is stated in the MOTD or anything (out of curiosity)? If so, are there any exceptions to this rule? Can a Commander of a faction, for example, approve a particular CC to be in their department?

  8. Your in game name: Duncan Your Steam ID: STEAM_0:1:69411992 The player's in game name: Jeff Bones The player's steam ID (required): STEAM_0:1:217087576 What did the player do: This player was rapidly swinging around a large prop. I tried to solve this peacefully without a report, educating him on the issue. He would try to hit cars and players with it (obviously he was not aware this did not work on this server), however, I finally decided to record it upon negotiations failing. Evidence (required): What do you believe should happen to the player: I believe that this player should receive a warn for NITRP | Prop Minge. I do not believe he deserves a ban, however, I believe that a warn would be sufficient in that if he were to return to the server when a member of the administration team is online, they can see that he has a prior warn. Any extra information: He had a friend with him, Jeff Bone (STEAM_0:0:509667935), who was doing the exact same thing. The player I am reporting is Jeff Bones, with an "s". I do not have evidence of Jeff Bone doing it, so I will not be reporting him.
  9. finally some peace and quiet Just Kidding! Have enough fun for the rest of us, and let us all know what you learn!
  10. + Support for removal of the Spamming Warn. NCWS Warn is up to who reviews this - there is no reason for forced compliance if no rules were broken. Sent from mobile Edit: my phone won't attach the photo, here is a link
  11. Here are the applicable rules to this post, copy-pasted from the Official Rules. Players, or groups of players, may not be put under FearRP unless they are outnumbered by the opposing group. The player(s) must be outnumbered when the encounter BEGINS. FearRP does not apply if others in a group arrive after a fight has begun. If Government has you under FearRP and goes to cuff you. (Puts gun away, pulls out cuffs and starts placing you in cuffs.) You may not attempt to harm or further evade that police officer. For Example: An officer has a suspect under FearRP and right when the officer pulls out cuffs to arrest the suspect, the suspect cannot pull out a gun or run away. This would mean that yes, officers must outnumber suspects in order to properly put them under FearRP (given that it does not distinguish between Gov and Non-Gov). However, if a suspect were to purposefully or accidentally submit to FearRP via an officer, that suspect could not change his mind, given that he would be in the process of cuffing the individual. It is still notable that you cannot place an individual under FearRP that has their gun out, regardless of if the firearm is currently on safety. Edit: Idk why people are quoting this, I posted it to help form an opinion, given that OP wants this to be changed.
  12. Rank You are Applying For: Lieutenant In-Game Name: Duncan SteamID: STEAM_0:1:6941199 Current Rank: Sergeant Major How long have you been in your current rank?: I was first promoted to SM sometime in 2018. However, I self-demoted myself to cadet (on my own accord) sometime in 2019 to be able to experience the PD Journey all over again. While I do highly recommend this as it helped me develop a new light for the server, I ranked back up to Sergeant Major on 5/18/20. What timezone are you in?: EST/EDT How many Warns do you have?: I currently have one (1) total warn(s). https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2138885397 Why should you be promoted (150 words Minimum): There truly are a plethora of reasons in which I believe I should become a Lieutenant for the GL Rockford City Police Department. Among the most important of these reasons are my nearly-unmatched experience, patience, and knowledge regarding the RCPD. My experience has grown very steadily over the last couple of years. Whether it be my time as CPT of DOC, my time in old and new SRT, SWAT, SS, FBI, State Police, CERT (not SPRT), or even both of my journies from CDT to SM in RCPD, I have experienced nearly everything and anything on the server. This experience cannot, however, continue to grow without patience. Patience for myself, patience for others - those both higher and lower ranking than myself, as well as patience for the very server itself. As a leader, the qualities of patience and experience are among the most important. You cannot teach others without patience and the experience of the knowledge you are passing on, in which my vast time on the server has granted me. I have grown with Gaminglight and the RCPD over the last couple of years; It's time for me to take the next step into assuring the next generation of RCPD are even greater than myself and the existing RCPD. You agree that disobeying any rules set by High Command will result in an immediate demotion (Yes/No): Yes
