Form Title: [SCP-999] ~ Research (8/30/2019)
Rank: Junior Researcher
Clearance Level: Level 2
List of Personnel involved in testing: Fear and Spookie (escorts) and Junior Researcher Samm (me)
Level D personnel involved: D 2221 and CeasarsReign300
SCP: SCP-999
Errors and/or safety hazards: 1048 screamed around 343's CC (where testing took place); No personnel harmed.
Question: What effect does 999's ability have on hallucinogenic drugs? (LSD)
Background Research: SCP-999 is a Safe class SCP and can heal many mental and physical ailments through sight, sound and touch.
Hypothesis: If the D-class see 999, then the D-class will stop having hallucinations.
Observation/Visual Stimuli(Photos/videos):N/A
Analysis and Conclusion: Two D-Class personnel were given doses of LSD to cause hallucinations. The first D-Class was given a blindfold and had verbal contact with 999. The D-Class could then form words again, but his sentences were comparable to that of a 5-year old. He was then allowed to look at SCP-999 which made his functions resume normally and all hallucinations cease, although he still had traces of LSD in his bloodstream. The second D-class was allowed to see 999, but not hear 999. This caused the D-class to claim his hallucinations nearly instantly stopped. Both D-Class were then given physical contact with 999 and sent back to D-block. My conclusion is SCP-999 can have different effects on hallucinations depending on how the subject interacts with him.
Do your results align with your hypothesis?: Yes, after having visual contact with 999 the hallucinations ceased for both subjects.
