Hello Shell. I'm doing well. How are you?
-
What you want to see? - An Achievement menu get added. Why should we add it? - Gives players more to grind for. Fun to try and go for all achievements. What are the advantages of having this? - First there can be easy achievements mainly designed to reward new players for experiencing different experiences our server has to offer and can also be used to promote different activities. (Join a clan, Capture a point, Win your first robbery, Make 1,000,000$, Successfully defend the stash, place a hit on someone, etc) Gradually achievements become harder and harder and endgame achievements will mostly consist of doing different tasks for a long time. Endgame achievements would be like Become a billionaire, Complete 100 hits, Kill 1,000 opponents while defending stash, Successfully rob bank 50 times, Purchase every vehicle, etc. The harder the achievement the greater the reward, and from the sounds of it you can do custom rewards so theyre not all cash. You could do crate keys, melee weapons, sweps, too. Who is it mainly for? - Everyone Links to any content - https://www.gmodstore.com/market/view/achievements-best-way-to-entertain-your-players

-Support Reasons above. Pretty straightforward. Dont prop/entity abuse.

I will not give any + or - Support, as I just want to stick to my side of the story and defend the actions I took. THE SIT: Firstly I brought Anubis (reporter) to a roof to explain what happened. and get some basic information. Anubis told me that he had stolen Vice's car and was driving when he got shot at by Vice when none of the code red rules were met. I quickly verified that an advert had been made for the carjacking and now that we had the claim, I brought up Vice to the roof. I told Vice what was alleged and asked him his side. Vice at the time, sounded annoyed about something and mentioning he wanted to report Anubis and started talking about a separate event that took place. I quickly stopped that discussion and told them that I want to focus on this report first and then we can handle that. My #1 reason for this is I didn't want information that had to do with another report while this was ongoing as not to cause me any confusion or get facts mixed up. At this time I was only looking for information relevant to the allegation of not following code red rules. 1 of 3 scenarios must be true in order for code red to be called on a vehicle. I knew it was a government vehicle so I knew it being a Cybertruck/bus/semi didn't apply here. I asked Vice if he had shot at anyone or had been in a pursuit for 10+ minutes. Vice said No to both of those. These are the main reasons I chose a formal warning instead of a verbal warning, jail, or some combination of punishments. #1) Vice had admitted the code red rules were not met to allow lethal force on the vehicle. #2) Vice is a longtime player and someone who has lot's of experience in government command positions. #3) It wasn't an accidental shooting or a case of not knowing a rule. I don't like warning people but with those things being true, I feel that it would be unfair for me to not give a formal warning in this instance. If this was a new player I almost certainly would have just given a verbal but when it's about someone with this level of experience it makes it really hard for me to justify lessening the punishment. I generally reserve verbal warnings to new players, players who may not have known of the rule, or rule infractions made by accident (a misclick or something). I strive to be completely unbiased when handling a sit. I believe I stuck to the facts relevant to the report and gave the appropriate punishment. I'm not going to mention anything about the Anubis report as I don't feel it's relevant to this appeal but in a jist (in a seperate incident) he RDM'ed Vice and got warned for it. I wish a report had been made here immediately and not something only brought up during Anubis's report. Lastly, I do just want to mention that almost none of the mitigating factors in this appeal were brought to my attention in the sit. When Vice was asked about his side, pretty much the only thing he said was about the RDM incident that got dealt with after. When asked, he did not claim to have any justifiable reason to code red/shoot the vehicle. I was not told that anyone was copbaiting in the car or ramming anyone. If this was mentioned I would have looked for evidence/asked for video and added copbaiting to his warn. I was not informed that Mr.Feast RDM'ed anyone. If this was mentioned I would have warned him the same as I did with Anubis. And now I can no longer verify if either of these things are true. Unless someone has video but I don't think so.

Removal of the "sniper glint" Addon - Denied
Aaron Faustin replied to ZoeyPlaysGames's topic in Denied
-Support to removal. +Support to updating. -
What you want to see? - I would like to see the Sniper Glare get an update to be more optimized, easy to use, more aesthetic, etc. Make the glare scale depending on the distance you are from the glare. Make the glare a more realistic shape than a white circle that covers the face. See below for ideas. Make the glare originate from the scope not the players head (if possible) Why should we add it? - Quality of Life update. Makes the glare better and more aesthetically pleasing to use. What are the advantages of having this? - Same as above. Who is it mainly for? - Everyone Links to any content - N/A Here are some ideas for more realistic glare shapes that could come out of the snipers scope. But i would still keep the color as white and fairly bright at the center of the shape so it's not difficult to tell when you're being scoped in at.

-Support There are too many issues with this. What if they don't own property? Is it really a punishment if they are in their own base and can just farm some money before going back out to commit crime in a few minutes? You didn't put any links to content, meaning you want this custom made. This sounds like an absolute nightmare to try and code.

Ban Appeal for Goku642004 (Steamname)- Accepted
Aaron Faustin replied to Puddingchan's topic in Accepted
-Support 1. Your Dispute: The core of your dispute is that what you said was a joke. While I believe that to be true, It's really not relevant. It comes down to the fact that you typed in chat something very gross, explicit, and illegal. If you want to joke about something like that with your friend, that's between you two. However, this server consists of a very wide age range of players, and it is necessary that we take things like this seriously. 2. Length of ban changing: It was reasonable, permissible, and in this case necessary to extend your ban length from two weeks. There is no rule that staff must adhere to their initial ban length. Sometimes it takes an extra moment of thought and/or another staff's perspective to see a punishment that better aligns with your actions. If you had served a considerable amount of time towards your ban length, I could see you making an argument against an extension, but this was a correction that was made within a fairly short period of time. 3. Disrespect towards you and/or your friend: If you feel she was being disrespectful and/or unprofessional, please make a staff report following the format and provide the necessary proof such as video, chat logs, etc. 4. You being killed: From what I can tell, it looks like this was after you had been banned. When you are Shadow Banned, it is permissible for players to kill you on sight for any reason. 5. Matilda's Warn History: Her warn history has zero relevance to your situation. Also, In one of your replies you say "her past warns and what not may be a few years ago but that doesn't erase what she has done in the past and doesn't excuse the behavior in which she has done." I don't believe anyone has made the claim that someone is excused of their past actions. That's why she still has the warn. It's a reflection of our past mistakes. 6. Your friends warn and his harassment: If you leave in the process of being arrested it qualifies as LTARP (Leaving to avoid roleplay). This is a necessary rule to help prevent people from attempting to quit the roleplay they were engaged in just because it is now unfavorable for them (Being caught and arrested). If your friend was truly being harassed, We take this seriously. Please have them make a player report on the specific player/s with evidence and they will be dealt with. 7. Disapproval of Ban Length: Staff do not have to give a certain punishment for each rule infraction. Staff have a guideline to somewhat help them out but at the end of the day it is their discretion. It's important because staff have to take in a whole lot of considerations before issuing a punishment. Two players who commit the same infraction may be given a slightly different punishment based around the circumstances of those situations. Management isn't likely to supersede a staff members discretionary punishment unless their opinions are pretty far apart. I feel as though you need time to cool down and reflect on the events that transpired before you should appeal for a ban reduction. Best of luck. -
-Support. Video speaks for itself. "it just came out at queer." No Sir, It did not.

-Support You know why you got banned. You spam created support tickets after being told to stop by multiple staff.

In-Game Name: Aaron Faustin Steam Name: [GL] Aaron Faustin SteamID: STEAM_0:0:11936125 What is your staff rank and the server you work in? Admin, PoliceRP How long have you been apart of the Gaminglight community? Joined sometime late 2017. Created my forums account on 01/02/2018. How long have you been a staff member on Gaminglight? 112 days. How often are you online on the forums? Daily. I check for new posts/replies constantly. Why do you believe you're qualified to serve as a Forum Diplomat? I believe the experience I've gained, and reputation I've earned over these years in this community qualifies me to be a seriously considered candidate of this role. I've really enjoyed taking on my various roles within both PoliceRP and this community thus far. From my RP Command/leadership positions to my Administrative and Support positions. I'd love to expand further as a forum diplomate and help enforce forum guidelines and maintain a healthy atmosphere for everyone to enjoy. Between my experience, reputation, and activity on the forums, I believe this would be a great position for me. Would you consider yourself to have good judgement? If so, please describe a situation that required you to make a difficult decision? Absolutely, Making decisions isn't always easy. It's necessary to look from all point of views, and consider all potentially mitigating factors before considering a punishment for an individual. Some quick examples of factors that could lead to a different outcome in a report include the playtime of the offender, the intensions of the offender, the harm caused by the offender, the seriousness of the offense, and the perspective of the offender at the time of the offense. These all play key roles in determining if I hand out a punishment and what type of punishment I hand out during one of my staff sits. Of course depending on the seriousness of the offense a punishment may need to be handed out no matter what, But the point is that as someone in a staff/leadership position it's important to look at the bigger picture of every scenario. Our job isn't just to enforce rules. It's to be a leader, a mentor, a role-model for new players to look up to. Even in my job in real life I have examples of times where good judgement is imperative. I often have to weigh the pros and cons of different decisions and make sure I have sound reasoning to back up any action I take. How would you deal with a situation where a user is spamming in various topics due to getting banned from one of our servers? Firstly, I would prioritize preventing them from spamming any further and stop it in it's tracks by disallowing them to make posts/replies. (In practice this may need to be done by Senior Diplomats) Once the individual is no longer able to continue causing their issues I would hide all of their spam posts/replies. Next I would issue a warning to their forums account for breaking the forum guidelines (spamming). Lastly, I would log the incident and my punishment in the appropriate discord channel. How would you deal with a situation where two users are aggressively arguing with each other in a warning appeal? I would reply with a "Forums Diplomat Message" and issue a kind but stern warning that replies should only be for +/- Supports or to provide necessary evidence for the appeal. If they proceed further and disregard my reply I would lock the post to further comments and they would likely end up receiving a warning for completely disregarding my message and continuing the argument.

What you want to see? (OPTION #1) - Make the EMP Grenade a Sticky Grenade. What you want to see? (OPTION #2) - Increase the range of the EMP Grenade back to it's normal radius BUT code it to only open the closest fading door. Why should we add it? - Currently the EMP has an EXTREMELY small range. It is a Massive pain the ass to deal with and it's honestly like 50/50 on if i can get it close enough to the fading door to open it without it bouncing a few feet back. Even if you right click toss it, It can still bounce too far away. What are the advantages of having this? - Either of the two options would effectively give the same nerf that was intended by the shorter radius BUT still ensure it can effectively do it's job, without fail. Who is it mainly for? - Criminals. Links to any content - N/A If accepted, Feel free to choose whichever option is easiest to implement. In practice both options should work almost the same. Though, option 2 may be slightly better since you wouldn't have to worry about hitting the specific prop. You'd only need to throw it in it's general location at the ground.

Throwing Knives and Melee Weapons made more affordable - Denied
Aaron Faustin replied to Not Calzone's topic in Denied
-Support This is a bad idea. 1. Having this as a somewhat rare status symbol is a nice aspect of the game. It creates a sense of accomplishment to obtain the knife you want through either your own luck with crates or by grinding and purchasing it from a player at a usually pretty high price. 2. This would be unfair. People have invested both real and in-game money to obtain knives and making them more readily available would completely devalue the knives people have bought. 3. Keeping rare items exclusive encourages a healthy economy and trading system in-game. -

Make the Dog into a generalized "pet" with a cat PM - Denied
Aaron Faustin replied to Craft's topic in Denied
+Support Make it a pet job with Dog or Cat option but make this a donator package to decrease the chances of this being used by minges. -
-Support I dont see this as needed and in my opinion it would only increase the likelyhood of abuse.
