    Woah

Happy New Year to you as well!
  2. What you want to see? - Over the years, we've seen a gradual increase in base building rules, primarily aimed at balancing base defenders and larger groups. While these rules initially added a layer of challenge to the game, it's come to a point where base building is no longer as enjoyable as it once was. Specifically, the introduction of 'Basing Props' has significantly deterred our enthusiasm for base construction. Here's a proposal to revitalize the base building experience: Remove the 'Basing Props' rule entirely, OR consider a more balanced approach. Instead of permitting specific props for defense and disallowing others, it would be fairer to disallow only a few, as most props are not overpowered. This adjustment aligns better with the principles of fairness and creativity, which should be at the core of our base building guidelines. The 'Basing Props' rule is not even consistently implemented; it's a small popup at the bottom of the screen that often goes unnoticed due to frequent popups for various other reasons. Furthermore, its scope and applicability are vaguely defined, leaving much to staff discretion. Why should we add it? - Restrictive and convoluted basing rules can detract from the overall server experience. To ensure the health and enjoyment of the community, it's essential that we return to our roots. What are the advantages of having this? - It's my opinion that base building would be more fun and more welcoming. Who is it mainly for? - Everyone Links to any content - N/A
  3. -Support for now. I believe it was said in the community meeting that this would not be getting worked on at the moment because we have more important things to work on in order to achieve higher rentention rates which we desperately need.
  4. +Support for an alternate version of this suggestion Change the Tow Truck Driver to almost more of a gov role that has a radio and works alongside officers. You could still do what OP wants by either replacing the tow truck with a PD one or putting a pd skin on it. This could draw more attention to the job and create more RP overall.
  5. +SUPPORT KASPER IS AN OUTSTANDING HUMAN BEING. FREE HIM IMMEDIATELY OR FEEL MY WRATH. jk, it was an honest mistake by the staff. needs undone though.
  6. I agree with mini. +Support. Good luck!
  7. Anything is possible if you just believe.
  8. +/- Support. I would agree with a 6 month rotation but i would also like to see certain changes/additions/improvements to our existing maps to extend their life of enjoyment. Like repurposing areas of a map that arent used.
  9. What you want to see? - Turn the MOTD into a nested list. Why should we add it? - This would make it 100x easier to reference material in the MOTD. What are the advantages of having this? - It would be FAR better than just having bullet points. Imagine being able refer someone to "Section 3, Rule 7" or something like that. Who is it mainly for? - It would benefit everyone but it would be especially useful for staff. Links to any content - N/A Here is an example, using a small portion of the MOTD... (I made this fairly quick so there may be errors and/or room for improvement) SECTION 1: General Rules No RDM No RDA NLR (New life rule) is 3 minutes. Do not return to the place of death for that duration, and you forget everything from your past life (including how you died and who killed you). a. NLR is 2 minutes for any defending player killed and returning back to a government raid. b. This means if criminals are defending the stash they have 2-minute NLR. The same is for government when they're defending the stash. When attacking the stash, the attacking side has no NLR. c. If you are revived by EMS, then there's no NLR, therefore you remember your past life based on what happened. You MUST RP IT OUT THOUGH. ... So on and so forth. For "examples" in the MOTD you could do something like this. 7. No Metagame (using information that would not realistically be available to your character) a. Examples of Metagame: i. You're being arrested, and you tell your friends over Discord/TeamSpeak where you're being arrested. ii. Using information from Dark Web on gov while no FBI are monitoring adverts. iii. Hearing printers inside a base. iv. Using your push to talk to see who is near you and using it to your advantage. v. Looking through a wall in third person to view inside bases. vi. Using OOC information and putting it into RP. b. A police officer can see a weapon in your hands while in a car, and they can act on it. a weapon in your hands while in a car, and they can act on it.
  10. +Support to HC and medics under restrictions when they can use them. NO to LC
  11. I would say, maybe add a inmate job sort of like one on SCPRP that can purchase certain contraband that could give a slight advantage like a lockpick, knife (instead of inmate spawning with it), and maybe a more expensive throwable. This job could be 1 person max and only be allowed when DOC is on, could also make it on a donator tier or something. This would Cover the suggestion, Add more to it, Keep it reasonable and fair.
  12. -Support Pretty sure this doesnt even pay very well for the time+risk. At most, id say maybe a cooldown from the time you can spawn a new one in. I dont think ive ever seen any issues arise from these being used without alot of gov on.
  13. What you want to see? - Remove 911 from CAD Why should we add it? - Almost nobody opens CAD and responds to 911 calls anymore. What are the advantages of having this? - People will actually respond to 911 calls. Who is it mainly for? - Everyone Links to any content - N/A
  14. Rank You are Applying For: Lieutenant In-Game Name: Aaron Faustin SteamID: STEAM_0:0:11936125 Current Rank: Sergeant Major How long have you been in your current rank?: I've held this position for several years, I have maintained a higher level of activity in this position for a little over a month in preparation. What timezone are you in?: CST How many Warns do you have?: 2 Why should you be promoted (150 words Minimum): Throughout my time here, I believe I have consistently demonstrated activity, dedication, and commitment to the server itself as well as my roles and responsibilities within the server, including my position of Sergeant Major in the police department. I also believe I am a go-to person for advice and leadership, and someone who is willing to engage with new players and specifically new OFCs to help them acclimate. I am deeply committed to leveraging my experience and leadership skills that I have gained throughout my years in this community. Some things about me that i think would benefit PD are, I enjoy problem solving and increasing efficiency/productivity which is true of me in real life as well, but most of all I like seeing the byproduct of good leadership and mentorship and seeing what people can become and how far they can go. It's a wonderful reward to be given. Lastly, I'd just really like to show that PD is more than a steppingstone to other departments. When done right, we are a beautiful and necessary department. You agree that disobeying any rules set by High Command will result in an immediate demotion (Yes/No): Yes.
  15. What you want to see? - Rather than custom vehicles being bought individually as a custom class purchase, I would like to see them be able to be purchased as a whole package/packages. You could have 2 or 3 NPC's (we already use 2) and these would be tiers of custom vehicles based on desirability. SMT could decide these vehicles and new/old vehicles could come and go based on popularity. ALL tiers would still be pricey to ensure they stay fairly exclusive, but the big benefit would be the VALUE of having options. Rather than purchasing 1 car, you would be purchasing a package of cars that you can choose from. Why should we add it? - This would bring custom vehicles down to a more manageable price tag for players while still maintaining a level of exclusivity. What are the advantages of having this? - 1. No size increase for the server because they are already on there. 2. Will simultaneously bring in more money while providing a better value for customers. 3. OPTIONS. Options are always nice. Who is it mainly for? - Everyone Links to any content - N/A Let me know your thoughts and opinions.
  16. Staff members need to problem solve. Your solution shouldn't be to get a different staff member to solve the problem. -Support Poorly written/answered. 15 hours later and still no proof of warns. Haven't seen you on. Good luck.
  17. -Support I don't believe it would be healthy for the server to implement this until we have a larger and more consistent playercount.
  18. -Support. Gov would just stall the entire situation fot backup to arrive, ruining all the fun.
  19. This is exactly what SHOULD happen if you're outnumbered.
