My time has come lads. I am officially retiring from gmod! I got Gmod in 2015 and since then have put in over 4,000 hours. I have been in so many communities and so many servers during that time. GamingLight is one of the few that has made a difference for me. Gmod isn't really fun for me anymore. Not just from RP, but in general; no matter what server, community, even what addons I am using. It doesn't have a spark anymore. Hello! I am going to be resigning from the S.W.A.T department. I know I don't really need to give a reason but I have decided to retire from Gmod. It doesn't have a spark anymore. That being said I am resigning from the S.W.A.T Department. I will be semi-active for the next few days and I will be officially uninstalling Gmod on Thursday (2/1/24) I want to say a special thanks to @Chip&Dail for being the best co-cmdr there has ever been. @DuckeyWizard for doing what you can for the department while being in university -Good Luck! @INXOG2 For all the fun times with sharpshooter and CRC - I'm not getting Euro Truck Sim!!!! @Nicc for being an amazing LC -You better get HC @Jack Simmons for being my best friend both on and off GL. What you want to see? - PlayerXP for capturing flags around the map. Why should we add it? - Once you get the upgrades, there's not really a point other an advertising to capture flags. Adding PlayerXP rewards for capturing them would make it so that there is more advantage to capture it, and flags don't go unclaimed for hours on end. What are the advantages of having this? - 1. More RP with flags 2. Flags don't sit unclaimed 3. Playerbase gets motivation to capture flags 4. Playerbase gets motivation to join a family if they are not currently in one. 5. I normally work from 5:30pm to 11:30pm (Est). So when I get home, the server is either dying down for the night or is already dead for the night and there is only prop minge/MRDM/ AFK Staff when its needed the most. I am active during that time so I think I could be a good asset to the team making the nights easier running. I also want to make the server more fun for new players overall. I wasn't the best back in 2021 and 2022 but I have changed for the better and a lot of people don't even remember me from back then, I feel like I could prove my worth as a Community Member, and as an asset to the Staff Team. I hope to join the team and I'll see you guys' on the other side! -Scrub How would you handle someone that is Mass RDMing and when you bring him/her to an admin sit all they do is curse at you? I would gag them and then explain the situation, if they decide not to listen then I would just jail them for MRDM/Disrespect. +Support This has been a problem for a while, yes it mainly affects new players but it still drives new players away. Creating a loop of people joining and leaving because they cant make any money.

Just making this to discuss your favorite and/or least favorite change that has been brought to PoliceRP. I'll go first. Favorite: My Favorite change to PoliceRP was the map change, I think Rockford had it's time served and maybe it could be brought back in the future. But having the new and improved SouthSide Map is refreshing, a lot of the old OG members have come back too. Least Favorite: My least favorite change would be switching the PD NLR from 3 minutes to 2 minutes during a Government Raid. Especially with the new map, the GovRaid is in the middle of PD, right next to multiple PD spawns, makes it really hard to avoid NLR if you are just logging on, you practically get forced into the raid as any Gov job. I have Co-Founded a Gmod server before. It was taken down by the Founder and I for lack of funding though. It was really fun running it and we got a little popular (Had a community of around 500). I enjoyed it and I'm thinking of saving money to start a community again.

So, Whats your story? How did you get into gmod/how did you become interested in the RP style gamemodes? It would've been 2015, I was binging Venturian Tale *The old not the new*. I decided to research how to get gmod/steam/ect. and I did it. My first server I ever joined was a PrisonRP server. I joined it and got into the community. I loved it, for one of the first times I was in a gaming community I enjoyed. I made so many friends from that server/network. Then I moved to DarkRP for a year or so, multiple different servers, then came to PoliceRP and ScpRP. I only recently fully joined GamingLight but I have played once or twice before I decided to join. I love it here and I've made a couple good friends.
