This is a suggestion to add this map into rotation, most likely after the next map change later this year. Before you deny or comment on this suggestion read and look into my stated post as well as the attached content! What you want to see? - New map added to rotation - See attached content Why should we add it? - Size of map This map is very large compared to the normal maps we are used it. This space is also not just empty space like our current maps outskirts. Every space in this map is large and represented properly. Detail of map This map is very detailed. The creator has been working on it for some time and after only a short amount of time being out it is already the #1 gmod map. Transportation and infrastructure Bridge There are two main cities on this map connected by a bridge, this bridge is actually controllable and can be lifted and lowered. Subway There is also a subway system below the map that can be used for public transportation Roleplay Chances This map is based in NY city and is very possible to roleplay as such. Would add a lot more realistic chances for roleplay. What are the advantages of having this? - The biggest advantage is just the rarity of something like this in gmod. It is rare to ever see a map with this much detail. It is not a map with just a massive circle you drive on. It would allow players to base again in all the locations as well as give cops plenty of places to roleplay and patrol. All around it is a beautiful map that everyone should check out! Ecott Posted February 24, 2023 Share Posted February 24, 2023 +/-Support + This looks like a cool epic map to have and potentially use for a Map Rotation. - Its quite big map and we may or may not get huge player counts on the map if its huge, we had this issue before with Truenorth as that map is big and didn't go too well as well as its quite a huge map MB size and soo fourth and might not run well and smoothly for our server. But... Despite saying that maybe the map could be optimised down to reduce the MB size for better performance wise and any lag people may or may not get (if this is possible to do so) but also could work if we have just one one part of the city island where everything is and have the other side all set up for potential new locations and RP areas but have it where its blocked off altogether and maybe just maybe if the player count increases and hits what 60+ odd players and lots of active players that are playing and RPing then the other part of the island of the City can open up giving more vast more areas to go for Criminals and Government Officials! I think some testing needs to be done but I've seen some beautiful large maps run double the fps of Rockford lately popping up on the workshop. If this can run smoother than Rockford I'm all for it.
